Abstract

Islamic education today faces a complex epistemological dilemma, caught between the sacred force of normative tradition and the progressive tide of modernity. Amid the rapid advancement of information technology, cultural globalization, and the shift toward more transformative and student-centered pedagogical paradigms, Islamic education confronts contemporary challenges such as value secularization, a crisis of religious identity among learners, and the dominance of profane scientific narratives often misaligned with the values of tawhid. This study critically explores these dynamics through a qualitative approach using literature review and reflective analysis of socio-religious realities. The findings reveal that, despite the magnitude of these challenges, strategic opportunities exist for Islamic education to reposition itself—both theoretically and practically—through the integration of classical Islamic knowledge with modern scientific approaches. The utilization of digital technologies for da’wah and adaptive learning, the application of liberating critical pedagogy, and the revitalization of spiritual values and prophetic ethics emerge as key responses to the complexities of the post-truth and postmodern era. Nevertheless, internal barriers such as curriculum stagnation, conservative institutional culture, and a lack of methodological innovation among Islamic educators remain critical issues. Therefore, this article recommends a reformulation of Islamic educational paradigms based on tawhidic values, integral humanism, and liberation pedagogy as the foundation for building an Islamic civilization that is not only adaptive but also proactive in shaping the future of humanity.

Abstract

This study examines how command sentences are used in the short story “The Crab Trap” to help elementary school students learn language. This study uses a literature study method with a descriptive qualitative approach that aims to analyze findings from various national and international journals related to the application and development of language learning through children’s literature media. This study examines various types of command sentences found in the story “The Crab Trap”. The findings of the study show that the command sentences in the story serve various purposes and have different forms, which reflect how language is used in real-world communication. The use of command sentence analysis in the short story “The Crab Trap” can enhance language learning strategies in elementary schools by providing students with contextualized and meaningful examples of language use and enhancing their understanding of the relationship between language structure and social interaction.

Abstract

Transparency is a fundamental principle in Islamic finance, which upholds the values of justice, honesty, and openness. However, conventional practices of financial reporting in Islamic institutions still face various challenges such as delayed information, data manipulation, and limited public access. This study aims to examine the potential of blockchain technology as a solution to enhance transparency in the Islamic finance ecosystem. Using a qualitative descriptive approach based on literature review, this research analyzes the core characteristics of blockchain—immutability, decentralization, and smart contracts—and their relevance to Sharia principles. The findings indicate that blockchain holds significant potential in improving accountability and efficiency, especially in sectors such as zakat management, waqf, and Islamic microfinance. Case studies of implementations like Blossom Finance and WaqfChain show positive impacts on information transparency and public trust. However, challenges remain in areas such as regulation, Sharia compliance, and technological literacy. Therefore, synergy among regulators, Sharia scholars, financial institutions, and technology providers is crucial to realize a sustainable and Sharia-compliant digital transformation in Islamic economics

Abstract

This study aims to identify and explain the implementation of the Village Fund Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) Program in Modayag Barat Subdistrict, East Bolaang Mongondow Regency. It is viewed from the following aspects: (1) communication, (2) resources, (3) disposition of the implementers, and (4) bureaucratic structure. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research methods and qualitative analysis. Data collection techniques used in this study include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Village Fund BLT Program in Modayag Barat Subdistrict, East Bolaang Mongondow Regency, has been carried out, although there are still some obstacles in its implementation that show inefficiencies in the process. In terms of communication, the village government has conducted special village meetings, determined prospective beneficiaries, and conducted public outreach. However, communication between the village government and the regional government remains ineffective, which affects the smoothness of the program. The resources involved in the implementation of the program include village heads, village officials, the Village Consultative Body (BPD), and BLT facilitators at the subdistrict level. The amount of aid distributed is IDR 300,000 per beneficiary household (KPM), adjusted according to the Village Fund budget of each region. In terms of implementers’ disposition, no significant obstacles were found since all processes were carried out by the village apparatus, supported by the BPD and BLT facilitators. The village government is fully responsible for all stages of implementation, from data verification and beneficiary determination to fund disbursement. The bureaucratic structure of BLT implementation refers to mechanisms established by the village head, consisting of a series of processes starting from the determination of beneficiary criteria through special village meetings, followed by official determination meetings, preparation of meeting minutes and attendance lists, and public dissemination. The final stage of this program’s implementation is the cash distribution of aid, delivered directly to beneficiaries based on the pre-established list.

Abstract

Studi literatur ini menganalisis secara komprehensif interkoneksi antara hakekat manusia, hak asasi manusia (HAM), dan pendidikan sebagai pilar fundamental peradaban. Hakekat manusia, yang dieksplorasi melalui berbagai perspektif filosofis (rasionalisme, empirisme, eksistensialisme) dan agama (Islam), membentuk landasan ontologis bagi pemahaman martabat dan tujuan hidup manusia. Pandangan ini secara langsung memengaruhi perumusan HAM, yang diakui sebagai hak kodrati yang melekat sejak lahir dan tidak dapat dicabut, serta diatur dalam kerangka hukum internasional seperti DUHAM, ICCPR, dan ICESCR. Pendidikan, yang didefinisikan sebagai proses “memanusiakan manusia” 1, memegang peran sentral. Ia tidak hanya merupakan hak asasi manusia itu sendiri 4, tetapi juga instrumen vital untuk mempromosikan, melindungi, dan mewujudkan hak-hak asasi lainnya melalui pengembangan pribadi, kohesi sosial, dan utilitas ekonomi.6 Pedagogi kritis Paulo Freire, misalnya, menekankan pendidikan sebagai praktik pembebasan yang menumbuhkan kesadaran kritis dan agensi peserta didik. Dalam konteks Indonesia, pemahaman holistik tentang hakekat manusia—sebagai hamba dan khalifah dengan potensi akal, hati, dan fitrah—menjadi krusial untuk membentuk individu yang seimbang dan bertanggung jawab.10 Namun, implementasi ini menghadapi tantangan kontemporer seperti dampak digitalisasi, globalisasi, ketimpangan kualitas dan akses pendidikan, serta diskriminasi.8 Oleh karena itu, diperlukan reformasi pendidikan yang transformatif, yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai HAM secara eksplisit dan berkelanjutan, untuk membangun masyarakat yang adil, toleran, dan beradab.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of wealth distribution in improving public welfare using an Islamic microeconomic approach. The research focuses on Islamic instruments of wealth distribution—zakat, infak (almsgiving), sadaqah (voluntary charity), and waqf (endowment)—and their contributions to socio-economic welfare. The method employed is qualitative descriptive research based on library studies, utilizing both classical and contemporary Islamic literature as well as relevant empirical sources. The findings reveal that Islamic wealth distribution mechanisms can effectively reduce economic inequality, strengthen social solidarity, and promote a more just and sustainable economic system. Zakat is proven effective in alleviating poverty, productive waqf provides long-term benefits through social asset management, while infak and sadaqah reinforce social networks and financial inclusion. The study recommends optimizing the management of zakat, waqf, infak, and sadaqah, expanding productive waqf through social investment, and increasing public literacy in Islamic economics. Greater collaboration among government bodies, zakat/waqf institutions, and the education sector is essential to ensure the effective and sustainable application of Islamic wealth distribution principles in the future.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) di sekolah sangat bergantung pada profesionalisme guru BK sebagai pelaksana utama layanan tersebut. Masih rendahnya pemahaman terhadap fungsi strategis BK serta adanya persepsi negatif di lingkungan sekolah menunjukkan pentingnya meningkatkan kualitas profesionalisme guru BK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara konseptual bagaimana profesionalisme guru BK berpengaruh terhadap efektivitas pelaksanaan layanan BK di sekolah. Metode yang digunakan adalah literature review dengan menelaah berbagai jurnal dan sumber ilmiah yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru BK yang profesional mampu menyusun layanan secara sistematis, menjalankan tugas sesuai kode etik, dan menjalin hubungan efektif dengan siswa maupun stakeholder sekolah lainnya. Profesionalisme guru BK terbukti berdampak pada meningkatnya kualitas layanan, kenyamanan psikologis siswa, serta pencegahan konflik dan masalah perilaku di sekolah. Namun, tantangan seperti keterbatasan kompetensi, latar belakang pendidikan non-BK, dan kurangnya pelatihan masih menjadi hambatan. Oleh karena itu, penguatan profesionalisme perlu dilakukan secara berkelanjutan melalui supervisi dan dukungan institusional.

Abstract

Empowerment in urban communities is a series of activities to build communities and improve the welfare of living standards by considering potential and needs. The Jago Karah Farm Jaya Utama Group was formed by the Karah Village to become an empowerment agent through innovation in chicken farming. The study aims to describe community empowerment in the Jago Karah Farm Jaya Utama Group and is designed using a qualitative descriptive approach. The focus of the study is the empowerment of change agents by Sulistiyani (2017), including Context, Input, Process, Output, and Outcome. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that community empowerment has been carried out by urban community groups through Jago Karah Farm Jaya Utama. Activities are based on village decrees and have a management structure. During empowerment, there are parties who play a role, efforts to utilize assistance, to product sales. However, there are obstacles such as low community interest, lack of management/managerial skills in chicken farming, limited facilities and infrastructure, and minimal budget support.

Abstract

Learning motivation is a crucial factor in the success of the educational process, serving as the primary driver that encourages students to start, sustain, and complete learning activities. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing group guidance with discussion techniques in enhancing students’ learning motivation. The method used is a literature review by referring to various sources such as books, journals, and other scholarly literature. The findings indicate that group guidance using discussion techniques positively impacts the improvement of students’ learning motivation. This is supported by previous studies showing a significant increase in students’ motivation scores after participating in group discussion activities. Moreover, the discussion process, which involves active interaction among members, helps students develop social skills, deepen conceptual understanding, and foster positive attitudes towards learning. In conclusion, group guidance with discussion techniques can be an effective strategy for educators to boost learning motivation, especially among adolescent students in secondary education.

Abstract

Indonesia’s marine resources include vast reserves of oil, gas, minerals and coal. The concession of the importance of the sea which is rich in natural reserves and a source of foreign exchange for the state has been strengthened by an international statement through the Convention on the Law of the Sea passed by the United Nations called UNCLOS 1982. Under the 1982 Convention on the Law of the Sea or UNCLOS, coastal states have the exclusivity of the seabed of their continental shelf to explore and exploit the country’s foreign exchange, and automatically acquire rights to the ecosystem or foreign exchange found there. The intention of this research is to understand the continental shelf regulations related to petroleum exploration and exploitation based on the 1982 UNCLOS international regulations. This type of research uses a prescriptive normative legal research method, using a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. Primary and secondary legal sources are used through inventory and literature research. Provisions regarding Indonesia’s continental shelf are contained in Law No. 1 of 1973 concerning the Indonesian Continental Shelf, but in Law No. 4 of 2009 concerning Mining and Coal Mining, as amended by Law No. 3 of 2020, and Law No. 32 of 2014 concerning the Law of the Sea concerning Seabed Mining. There are no specific provisions on seabed mining. Indonesia should consider amending Law No. 1 of 1973, particularly with regard to seabed mining regulations, and updating its marine resources law to bring it in line with international standards. Legal harmonization is needed to establish a unified legal framework for marine resource development.
