Abstract

This study examines how active students in organizations and academic achievement affect the work readiness of undergraduate students in Economics Education at Universitas PGRI Wiranegara. Using a quantitative approach and survey method on 23 students, data were collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale, which was then analyzed using the multiple linear regression method. The validity test resulted in findings that all variables were valid, with an average rrr count for Organizational Activity (X1) = 0.677, Learning Achievement (X2) = 0.702, and Work Readiness (Y) = 0.736, greater than the r table of 0.4132. The regression results showed that the analysis results showed that activeness in the organization had no effect on work readiness (Sig = 0.807), while learning achievement had a significant positive effect (Sig = 0.000). Simultaneously, both variables contributed 63.2% to work readiness, with the rest influenced by other factors. This study recommends that universities create programs that balance academic and non-academic development in order to produce competent graduates.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of economic literacy, Lifestyle, and socio-economic factors on the consumptive behaviour of students in the Economics Education Study Program at Universitas PGRI Wiranegara Pasuruan. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach, where data is collected through questionnaires covering the variables of economic literacy, Lifestyle, and socio-economic factors. The results of the study indicate that economic literacy has a significant impact on helping students manage their finances wisely. The higher the students' economic literacy, the better they are at planning and managing their expenses, thus avoiding unnecessary consumptive behaviour. Students' Lifestyle s, influenced by social trends, also play a significant role, with many students engaging in excessive spending to follow trends. Additionally, socio-economic factors, such as family background, also affect students' consumption patterns. Students from higher economic backgrounds tend to have better financial capabilities but are also more prone to consumptive behaviour. Simultaneously, these three variables have a strong influence on students' consumptive behaviour. This study suggests that students improve their economic literacy, manage their Lifestyle more wisely, and consider socio-economic factors to reduce uncontrolled consumptive behaviour.

Abstract

In the ever-evolving digital era, social media plays a vital role in business marketing strategies, and TikTok has emerged as one of the most effective platforms in building branding for digital businesses. This article aims to explore the role of TikTok content in developing branding and its impact on business profitability. With its ever-increasing user base, TikTok offers a great opportunity to reach a wider audience and increase consumer engagement through creative, interactive, and easily disseminated content. This article examines how relevant and engaging content can strengthen brand image, build emotional connections with consumers, and create loyalty. In addition, TikTok also allows businesses to promote products or services at a relatively low cost, but has a significant impact on visibility and sales. Using a case study approach and analysis of current marketing trends, this article shows how TikTok can be a very profitable tool for businesses to improve branding and achieve higher profitability. In conclusion, TikTok is not just an entertainment platform, but also a major force in digital marketing that can maximize the potential profits for business actors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perhatian peneliti terhadap kemampuan akademik siswa yang rendah di kelas tinggi Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Nurul Islam Sekarbela. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk keterlibatan orang tua dalam meningkatkan kemampuan akademik anak beserta faktor penghambat keterlibatan orang tua dalam meningkatkan kemampuan akademik anak di kelas tinggi MI Nurul Islam Sekarbela. Penelitian ini menggunakan pedekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif, prosedur pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu: observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun analisis data yang digunakan yaitu: data reduction, data display, dan verification. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan orang tua dalam meningkatkan kemampuan akademik siswa di MI Nurul Islam Sekarbela adalah dengan adanya pertemuan rutin orang tua dengan pihak sekolah, mendampingi dan membantu anak belajar di rumah, dan partisipasi orang tua di setiap kegiatan anak. Adapun faktor penghambat keterlibatan orang tua dalam meningkatkan kemampuan akademik siswa di MI Nurul Islam Sekarbela antara lain: latar belakang keluarga, pekerjaan orang tua, dan pergaulan anak.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berbasis proyek atau Project Based Learning (PjBL) merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran inovatif yang menekankan pada keterlibatan siswa melalui aktivitas proyek yang relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran PjBL pada materi rangka sendi dan otot terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas 6 SD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada nilai rata-rata siswa dari 51,8 pada pretest menjadi 80,4 pada posttest. Data ini mengindikasikan efektivitas model PjBL dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi yang diajarkan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan metode pembelajaran inovatif di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa model PjBL efektif untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa pada materi IPA, khususnya pada topik rangka sendi dan otot. Implikasi dan rekomendasi untuk implementasi model ini juga dibahas.

Abstract

Challenges in learning biology often arise, especially due to the complex nature of the material and requires a deep understanding of interrelated concepts. This causes many students to experience decreased motivation. The biology teacher of SMA NW Kopang keeps students motivated in learning. This study aims to understand the strategies applied by biology teachers at SMA NW Kopang in increasing students' learning motivation. This research uses a qualitative approach with the methods of observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The research findings show that teachers use various strategies such as contextual learning, the use of educational technology, personalised approaches, as well as the insertion of ice breaking and rewards to create an interactive and relevant learning atmosphere. In addition, the integration of Islamic values in biology learning provides a moral dimension that strengthens the relationship between science and student character. Internal factors such as student interest and confidence, as well as external factors such as teacher support and learning environment, were found to have a significant influence on learning motivation. These strategies not only help students understand complex biological material, but also encourage their active involvement in learning. This research contributes to the development of learning methods that are innovative and relevant to students' needs, particularly in Islamic-based schools. Further research is recommended to explore the long-term impact of these strategies on students' learning outcomes across different educational contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the levels of digital literacy, problem-solving skills, and socio-cultural awareness among prospective biology teachers. A cross-sectional survey method was employed. Data were collected through the distribution of a closed-ended questionnaire on February 10, 2023. The questionnaire used a Likert scale, with each item scored on a range from 1 to 5. The digital literacy questionnaire consisted of 20 items, the problem-solving skills questionnaire comprised 24 items, and the socio-cultural awareness questionnaire included 15 items. The questionnaires were distributed to biology education students from four universities in Bali: Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha, Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar, Universitas PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia, and IKIP Saraswati. Respondents were selected using purposive sampling, based on specific criteria relevant to the research objectives. The research instruments were developed based on the aspects and indicators of 21st-century skills proposed by Greenstein. The collected data were then analyzed descriptively to address the research questions. The findings of the study are as follows: students' digital literacy falls within the intermediate category; their problem-solving skills are at the basic level; and their socio-cultural awareness is also categorized as intermediate. It is necessary to develop alternative learning programs that enhance students' digital literacy, problem-solving abilities, and socio-cultural awareness. One potential approach is project-based learning that directly integrates technology use and addresses real-life issues at both local and global levels.

Abstract

Apel pagi merupakan kegiatan rutin di sekolah yang memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk kedisiplinan dan meningkatkan semangat belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana apel pagi di SMK Diponegoro berkontribusi dalam membangun karakter disiplin siswa serta mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasinya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa apel pagi berperan dalam membentuk kebiasaan positif seperti ketepatan waktu, keteraturan, dan tanggung jawab individu. Selain itu, melalui penyampaian pesan inspiratif oleh guru dan kepala sekolah, siswa mendapatkan dorongan motivasi yang berdampak pada kesiapan mereka dalam mengikuti proses belajar-mengajar. Namun, masih terdapat beberapa kendala dalam pelaksanaannya, seperti kurangnya kesadaran sebagian siswa terhadap pentingnya apel pagi dan rendahnya keterlibatan mereka dalam kegiatan ini. Untuk meningkatkan efektivitas apel pagi, sekolah telah menerapkan berbagai strategi inovatif, seperti variasi kegiatan, penghargaan bagi siswa yang disiplin, serta keterlibatan orang tua dalam memastikan anak-anak mereka datang tepat waktu. Dengan demikian, apel pagi diharapkan tidak hanya menjadi rutinitas sekolah, tetapi juga berkontribusi secara signifikan dalam membentuk karakter siswa yang lebih disiplin, bertanggung jawab, dan siap menghadapi tantangan akademik maupun kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a booklet on the Malvaceae family as a learning resource for the Plant Taxonomy course. The method used is development research adapted from Thiagarajan's 4-D model, involving three stages: define, design, and develop, without the disseminate stage. The results showed that the Malvaceae family booklet is feasible to be used as a learning resource. The content feasibility aspect obtained a score of 4.63 (categorized as very valid), the language aspect scored 4.75 (very valid), the presentation aspect scored 4.67 (very valid), and the graphical aspect scored 4.63 (very valid). Thus, the booklet is considered suitable to support learning in the Plant Taxonomy course.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the conceptual understanding of geometry among second-grade elementary school students through the implementation of the cooperative learning model Make A Match supported by the Papan Kantong Pintar (PaKaPin) instructional media. The background of this research is based on students' low comprehension of geometric concepts, particularly in the topics of plane and solid figures. Students encountered difficulties in identifying characteristics of various geometric shapes and distinguishing elements such as vertices, sides, and edges, which was also influenced by the lack of concrete learning media. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the spiral model developed by Kemmis and McTaggart, conducted in two cycles. Data were collected through learning outcome tests and analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results showed a significant improvement in students' understanding of geometry, with learning mastery increasing from 13% (pre-cycle) to 52% in cycle I, and reaching 87% in cycle II. The average score also rose from 60.43 to 79.39, and then to 86.48. The implementation of the Make A Match model and PaKaPin media proved effective in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding of geometry while fostering an active, interactive, and enjoyable learning environment. Therefore, this method combination can serve as an innovative solution for mathematics instruction at the elementary school.
