Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Riset Pendidikan is a journal on Faculty of Education. Abstract

Education is a consciously deliberate endeavor to establish a learning environment that is inclusive and facilitates the development of learners. The main objective of this study was to understand the impact of Problem-Based Learning model with PORPE technique in cognitive capability of VII grade students at SMP Negeri 15 Bandung to understand the material in Pancasila education. The study employed a quantitative methodology which included experimental and control groups. The results showed significant variation in the teaching ability of the Problem-Based Learning model with PORPE technique compared to the group that applied the lecture-based learning approach, with the significance level in the independent samples t test posttest value of 0.021 <0.05. This indicates the effect of Problem-Based Learning model with PORPE technique in students' analytical understanding. As a result, the Problem-Based Learning model with PORPE technique is relevant to be applied in Pancasila Education lessons.

Abstract

Keadilan hak asasi manusia dalam pendidikan tinggi bukan sekadar pemenuhan formal, melainkan tuntutan moral dan konstitusional dalam negara demokrasi. Lembaga Layanan Pendidikan Tinggi (LLDIKTI) memegang peranan strategis dalam memastikan bahwa seluruh proses pendidikan tinggi berjalan dalam kerangka keadilan, kesetaraan, dan perlindungan hak, baik bagi mahasiswa maupun dosen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Lembaga Layanan Pendidikan Tinggi (LLDIKTI) dalam mewujudkan keadilan hak asasi manusia di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi, khususnya dalam perlindungan hak-hak mahasiswa dan dosen. Penelitian menggunakan metode yuridis normatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, penelitian ini mengkaji peraturan, konsep keadilan hak asasi manusia dalam pendidikan tinggi, dan teori hukum yang relevan, serta peran penting LLDIKTI dalam menciptakan iklim akademis yang berkeadilan dan inklusif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LLDIKTI memiliki peran krusial dalam menetapkan dan mengawasi kebijakan yang menjamin HAM, termasuk perlindungan terhadap diskriminasi, kebebasan berekspresi, dan kesejahteraan akademik. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa masih terdapat tantangan dalam implementasi kebijakan tersebut, seperti kurangnya sosialisasi dan pemahaman yang mendalam mengenai HAM di kalangan institusi pendidikan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya peran aktif LLDIKTI tidak hanya sebagai pengawas, tetapi juga sebagai pemberdaya bagi mahasiswa dan dosen. Diperlukan kolaborasi yang lebih baik antara LLDIKTI dan institusi pendidikan untuk menciptakan lingkungan akademik yang adil dan berkeadilan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management and treatment of Albino Buffalo (Kerbau Bule Kyai Slamet) in the Kirab Malam 1 Suro tradition at the Surakarta Palace. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the treatment of the buffalo consists of three main stages: pre-procession (ritual bathing and parade rehearsal), during the procession (escorted by Abdi Dalem and designated officers), and post-procession. These treatments address not only symbolic and cultural aspects but also refer to animal welfare principles, such as freedom from stress, hunger, and discomfort. The management practices reflect an integration of local wisdom with sustainable livestock practices, making this tradition an example of ethical cultural preservation with a strong emphasis on animal welfare.

Abstract

This study analyzes parking tax revenue and its contribution to Medan City's Regional Original Revenue (PAD) for 2020-2022. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, primary data was obtained from the Medan City Regional Revenue Agency (BPD) through documentation techniques. The sample was taken using a purposive sampling method. Data analysis used an effectiveness ratio and contribution formula. The results show that despite the increasing number of vehicles, the contribution of parking tax to PAD is very low and inconsistent. Illegal parking practices and inaccurate parking spot data result in lost revenue potential. The contribution of parking tax to Medan City's PAD ranges from 0.51% to 1.09%, with significant fluctuations during the 2020-2022 period. More specifically, the contribution in 2020 was 1.06%, decreased drastically to 0.51% in 2021 (possibly due to the pandemic), and increased slightly to 1.09% in 2022. This fluctuation indicates that parking tax revenue in Medan City remains very low and has not had a significant impact on regional finances.

Abstract

In childhood, character building plays a very important role in modern education because it is an effort to shape the character of the younger generation. The purpose of this journal is to explain the method to develop character and foster honesty in young children through honest habits. The method used in this study is qualitative description and assisted by document study, where data collection is done through document analysis. This study shows that learning centers function as effective tools to strengthen students' characters, focusing on values ​​such as empathy, responsibility, and. The results of the discussion reveal that implementing honest habits can instill honesty honesty in children, considering that they are the next generation who need to be educated with a balance between knowledge and character. Implementing an honest attitude can also develop an anti-corruption attitude and build a foundation of character for children when they grow up in an environment that encourages honest habits.

Abstract

This research was prompted by the limited use of technology in learning media. Teachers still rely on textbooks, student worksheets (LKS), and some classic learning media. This study aims to develop Rolling Ball learning media assisted by QR Code for Pancasila Education in Class V, and to determine the validity and applicability of this media in Class V Pancasila Education. This research utilizes the ADDIE Development model, which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection techniques involved questionnaires and documentation. The subjects of this research are 25 students of class V and the class V teacher of SDN 1 Panggungrejo. The results showed that the validity level of the Rolling Ball learning media assisted by QR Code from media experts obtained a score of 97,5%, and material experts obtained a score of 81,8%. The assessment of the applicability level is taken from student questionnaires with a score of 90% and the teacher obtained a score of 97.5%. In conclusion, the Development of the Rolling Ball learning media assisted by QR Code in Pancasila Education class V of SDN 1 Panggungrejo is categorized as very good and can be applied for a more enjoyable learning process.

Abstract

The accounting period postulate is a foundational principle that divides an This article discusses a literature review: regarding the effectiveness of group counseling with cognitive restructuring techniques to reduce academic burnout in Islamic Guidance Counseling students which aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling with cognitive restructuring techniques to reduce academic burnout in Islamic Guidance Counseling students at Raden Fatah State Islamic University, Palembang. The method used in this study uses a quantitative pre-experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design. The research sample is 10 students. Data collection techniques are observation, questionnaires, documentation. Data analysis techniques used are validity test, reliability test, normality test, Wilcoxon test. The results of this study indicate that the test results using IBM Statistics SPSS 26 have an Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.005. Because the Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) value is smaller <0.05, then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, so group counseling with cognitive restructuring techniques is effective in reducing academic burnout in Islamic guidance counseling students at Raden Fatah State Islamic University, Palembang.

Abstract

A father's role is essential to encourage the growth and development of all aspects of a child's life. The role of fathers in parenting has a huge impact on a child's independence and self-confidence. This study aims to gather valid information on how father involvement affects children's personality. This research method uses a literature study that collects data from 15 journal articles (national and international) that examine how father involvement in parenting affects children's personality. The results showed that father involvement in parenting is very influential for the formation and development of a child's personality. This is obtained from the results of research journal articles which explain that the child's personality will be positively formed and well developed if the father takes part in the child's care. Conversely, if the father is not involved in the child's care, the child will grow up to be an individual who has problems in his personality.

Abstract

This study aims to produce Problem Based Learning-based Learner Worksheets integrated with the preventive value of excretory organ health on excretory system material for Phase F SMA. This research is a type of development research (R&D) that adapts the 4D model from Thiagarajan, namely the defining, designing, and developing stages. The research was conducted at the Department of Biology FMIPA Padang State University and SMAN 1 Payakumbuh District. Data collection instruments consisted of teacher interview sheets, student observation questionnaires, and validity test questionnaires. Validation was carried out by two lecturers of Biology FMIPA UNP and one Biology teacher of SMAN 1 Payakumbuh District. The validated aspects include content eligibility, language, presentation, and graphics. The validation results showed that the LKPD obtained an average score of 3.74 with a very valid category. Therefore, the LKPD developed is declared valid and feasible to use in the biology learning process, especially on the material of the excretory system which emphasizes the application of preventive health values through a problem-based approach.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in preparing students to face the challenges of the 21st century, one of which is through improving scientific literacy. However, the results of a pre-research questionnaire showed that 70.1% of phase E students at SMAN 1 Pangkalan Koto Baru rarely read materials or work on questions based on scientific literacy, and 50.5% of students had never heard of the term scientific literacy. This has impacted students’ low ability to explain scientific phenomena and interpret data scientifically. Therefore, learning innovations are needed, such as the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by color coding to improve students’ scientific literacy skills, particularly on the topic of environmental change. This research is quantitative research with an experimental design using a Randomized Control-Group Posttest Only Design. The study population consisted of all phase E students at SMAN 1 Pangkalan, with a sample of two classes randomly selected. The experimental class received treatment using the PBL model assisted by color coding, while the control class used a conventional learning model. Data were collected through a scientific literacy ability posttest and analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by color coding had a significant effect on improving students’ scientific literacy skills. This is indicated by the average posttest score of the experimental class, which was 79.43, higher than that of the control class, which was 68.22. This study concludes that the PBL model assisted by color coding is effective in improving the scientific literacy skills of phase E students on the topic of environmental change at SMAN 1 Pangkalan.
