Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of job satisfaction and leadership style on employee performance, both directly and indirectly through organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) as a mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of explanatory research. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire of 34 employees of the South Konawe Regency Health Office who were selected by census. The data analysis method used is Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results of the study show that job satisfaction and leadership style have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. In addition, job satisfaction and leadership style also have a significant effect on OCB. Meanwhile, OCB itself has proven to have a positive influence on performance. Other findings show that OCB mediates the influence of job satisfaction and leadership style on employee performance. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of human resource management in paying attention to the psychological aspects of employees and the effectiveness of leadership styles to encourage extra work behaviors that support the improvement of organizational performance, especially in public services in the health sector.

Abstract

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) plays a crucial role in driving Indonesia's economic growth, as regulated by Law Number 25 of 2007 concerning Investment. This study examines how FDI contributes to economic development, including increasing employment opportunities, transferring advanced technology, boosting foreign exchange earnings, and improving infrastructure facilities. Based on a review of various scholarly sources, it is evident that FDI has a significant positive impact on economic growth, although challenges remain, such as complex regulations and disparities in infrastructure development. The findings indicate that FDI is a key factor in promoting sustainable development and enhancing public welfare, and it is recommended to strengthen legal protection for foreign investors.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of insecurity commonly experienced by students, especially in the academic realm, which can hinder their learning potential and performance. Insecurity that is not managed properly has the potential to lead to anxiety, lack of self-confidence, and withdrawal from social environments. Therefore, this study aims to assess the effect of group counseling with positive affirmation techniques in reducing students' insecurity. This study is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental method of the non-equivalent group design using a pretest and posttest. There were 16 students as the research sample who were then randomly divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The results showed that before being given group counseling, BPI Batch 21 students had moderate to high levels of insecurity (mean = 107; SD = 15). After intervention using positive affirmation techniques, the level decreased significantly (mean = 38; SD = 10), with the majority of respondents moving into the low to moderate category. The paired samples t-test showed a significance value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), which indicates that group counseling with positive affirmation techniques had a significant effect in reducing the feeling of insecurity of BPI students of Class 21.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the people pleaser behavior of Client "A" at the Budi Perkasa Center, Palembang and analyze the application of Cognitive Restructuring techniques to reduce this behavior. People pleaser behavior in client "A" is characterized by difficulty in making decisions, a thirst for judgment and recognition from others, frequent apologies for unnecessary things, and a tendency to neglect personal needs to please others. This qualitative study uses a case study method. Data collection techniques involve observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses pattern matching techniques, data explanation, and time series analysis. The results of the study show a clear picture of Client "A's people pleaser behavior, which is reinforced by the presence of cognitive distortions in the form of underlying irrational thought patterns. The application of Cognitive Restructuring techniques through individual counseling is carried out to help clients recognize these distortions, change irrational thought patterns, and form more realistic and healthy ways of thinking. The intervention results showed that this technique was able to help client "A" reduce people-pleasing tendencies, improve her ability to set personal boundaries, and build a more positive self-concept.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the morality of students at the Ar Riyadh Talang Betutu Islamic Boarding School in Palembang and examine the implementation of group guidance services with the mauizhah hasanah technique in improving it. The study used a qualitative approach with data collection through observation of the guidance process, interviews with ustaz and students, and document analysis. The subjects of the study were 10 students of grade VIII. Data analysis used thematic analysis which included data introduction, coding, searching and reviewing themes, defining, and compiling reports. The results showed that the morality of students was reflected in honesty, trustworthiness, patience, humility, and sincerity, with varying levels of emotional control. The implementation of group guidance with the mauizhah hasanah technique was carried out through four stages: initial planning, identification of students' needs, application of appropriate methods, and evaluation of results. The results showed that this service was effective in improving the morality of students at the Ar Riyadh Talang Betutu Islamic Boarding School in Palembang.

Abstract

The development of the automotive industry in Indonesia has significantly influenced the emergence and development of new terms in the Indonesian language. This dynamic is characterized by the adoption of foreign vocabulary, the adaptation of technical terms, and the creation of equivalents that comply with Indonesian language rules. This article aims to examine the correlation between the growth of the automotive industry and the changes, absorption, and adaptation of terms in the Indonesian language. The methods used are literature studies and observations of terms used in the media, education, and the automotive industry. The results of the study indicate that the more advanced the automotive industry, the morenew terms enter and develop in the Indonesian language. Abstract

Studi ini menggali lebih dalam untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi Mahasiswa tentang media digital dalam konteks pendidikan anatomi dan fisiologi manusia dan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi persepsi ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan data dari pertanyaan wawancara terbuka dan studi dokumentasi yang ditujukan kepada sampel kecil mahasiswa (peserta praktikum). Seleksi informan dilakukan secara sengaja, berdasarkan kriteria yang ditentukan oleh peneliti. Secara keseluruhan, tampilan media digital aspek visual dan aspek bahasa, membantu Mahasiswa mengabstraksi sistem di dalam tubuh manusia. Hasil analisis persepsi Mahasiswa, media pembelajaran anatomi dinilai efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan. Desain yang menarik secara visual dan bahasa yang jelas dan terstandarisasi secara internasional adalah kekuatan, meskipun penambahan terjemahan bahasa Indonesia dan glosarium dapat meningkatkan aksesibilitas. Isinya sangat relevan dengan kegiatan praktikum, dengan simulasi interaktif dan umpan balik langsung yang memperkuat pemahaman teoritis dan praktis.

Abstract

Advertising is a communication medium that has an important role in shaping people's views on a product. One method that can be used to analyze the meaning in advertisements is Roland Barthes's semiotics, which divides signs into two levels of meaning, namely denotation and connotation, and reveals the myths contained in them. This research aims to analyze the semiotic signs in the Indomie advertisement titled “Bareng Indomie Kuah, Bikin Kuahlity Time Gak Tergantikan” uploaded on YouTube. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. Data were obtained through visual and verbal analysis in the ad, which were then categorized based on denotative, connotative, and mythical elements contained in the advertisement. The results show that this advertisement not only promotes Indomie products, but also builds an image of togetherness, warmth, and precious moments when consuming the product together. The myth formed in this advertisement is that Indomie is not just an instant food, but also a symbol of togetherness and warmth in Indonesian families.

Abstract

Higher education institutions in Asia play a pivotal role in the promotion of sustainable development. However, the complex funding challenges that are currently being faced represent a significant impediment to the establishment of a fair and high-quality education system. The present study has been designed to map the development of literature on higher education funding in Asia, with a view to identifying trends, research focuses, and inter-country collaboration networks. The present study obtained research data from 146 Scopus-indexed articles published between 2004 and 2025. The analysis was conducted using VOSViewer software to identify dominant keywords, the most productive authors, and collaborative relationships between institutions and countries. The results indicate that the primary subjects addressed encompass regional disparities, performance-based funding mechanisms, and public fund governance issues. As a general rule, the extant literature highlights the necessity for more contextual and transparent funding models. The present study demonstrates that governments and educational institutions in Asia must enhance governance, expand cross-sector collaboration, and formulate funding policies in accordance with the principles of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) if inclusive and sustainable higher education is to be achieved.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of transformational leadership and school culture on the innovative behavior of teachers at Elementary School Cluster 1, Gunung Talang District. This study uses a correlation research type with quantitative methods. The population in this study were 114 teachers at Elementary School Cluster 1, Gunung Talang District. The sampling technique was taken using a simple random sampling technique. The research sample numbered 53 people. Validity and reliability tests were tested with a significance level of 0.1 (10%). The questionnaire used was a closed questionnaire. To analyze the research data, an analysis technique was used by conducting a classical assumption test as a prerequisite test, then conducting simple linear regression, and multiple linear regression. Researchers used SPSS version 25 in data processing. The results showed that there was a significant influence of transformational leadership on teachers' innovative behavior. This was indicated by a sig value <0.1 for the t-test (partial). Furthermore, the second finding proved the influence of school culture on teachers' innovative behavior, also obtained from a sig value <0.1 with the t-test (partial). Then the final finding obtained a significant influence of transformational leadership and school culture on the innovative behavior of teachers at Elementary School Gugus 1, Gunung Talang District, obtained based on a simultaneous test or F test, with a sig value <0.1. The implication of this study is that school principals need to adopt a charismatic leadership approach, inspirational motivation, intellectual simulation, individual consideration and care for individual teacher needs. This will create higher motivation for teachers to behave innovatively in teaching which will improve the quality of education.
