Abstract

Marriage is a fundamental social institution that serves as a legal bond and the foundation for family formation, generational continuity, and social harmony. Marriage is defined as a physical and spiritual bond between a man and a woman to form a happy, eternal family based on divine values. This study aims to determine the implementation process and the results of the influence of premarital guidance for prospective brides and grooms at the Kumpeh Ulu District Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in forming a harmonious family. The study used qualitative methods through in-depth interviews. The results showed that premarital guidance at the Kumpeh Ulu District Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) is quite effective through a group system and collaboration with officers, with routine guidance every Tuesday that includes education on marital rights and obligations, household communication, financial management, and reproductive health.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan UMKM Dodol Riana di Desa Bengkel, Perbaungan, melalui optimalisasi produksi dan strategi branding. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan produksi higienis, penerapan teknologi tepat guna berupa mesin pengaduk dodol otomatis berkapasitas 100 liter, serta pendampingan branding dan pemasaran digital. Hasil yang dicapai menunjukkan peningkatan efisiensi waktu produksi dari 5 jam menjadi 2 jam per adonan (60%), peningkatan kapasitas produksi dari 30 kg menjadi 45 kg per hari (50%), serta peningkatan volume penjualan sebesar 35%. Selain itu, mitra telah memiliki identitas merek melalui desain kemasan baru dan akun pemasaran digital yang aktif. Dampak sosial-ekonomi yang terlihat antara lain peningkatan pendapatan mitra sebesar Rp 2–3 juta per bulan, perluasan jangkauan pasar hingga ke Medan dan Tebing Tinggi, serta peningkatan kesadaran akan pentingnya inovasi dan digitalisasi usaha. Program ini berhasil menciptakan transformasi signifikan dari usaha tradisional menuju UMKM yang lebih modern, efisien, dan berdaya saing.

Abstract

SD Inpres Ndetundora 1 is a public elementary school located in Ndetundora III Village, Ende District, Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. As a school that continuously strives to improve the quality of learning, the need for more engaging and easy-to-understand learning media has become increasingly important. This article discusses the application of Augmented Reality technology combined with game-based learning as an innovative strategy to increase motivation, engagement, and conceptual understanding among elementary school students. This approach was designed through the development of simple mobile-based AR media, the use of educational games as core learning activities, and teacher training in the use of this technology. The implementation of this model is expected to provide a more interactive, concrete, and enjoyable learning experience for students at SDI Ndetundora 1, as well as become an alternative solution in facilitating 21st-century learning in school environments with limited facilities.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to introduce digital freelance work opportunities to vocational high school (SMK) students and informal sector workers in Medan City. The method used was direct socialization at four breakfast stalls (warungs) and coffee shops, involving informal interviews regarding daily occupation and income sufficiency. The results showed that many participants were unaware of legitimate online platforms to earn extra income based on their passions. The team introduced reputable platforms such as Projects.co.id, Fastwork, and Sribu.com, while educating them on avoiding scams. This activity successfully provided new insights for students to earn pocket money without quitting school and for workers to gain side income.

Abstract

The Merdeka Belajar–Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy introduced by Indonesia’s Ministry of Education in 2020 seeks to transform higher education by promoting flexible, student-centered learning through internships, community service, and research. However, its implementation faces significant disparities in institutional readiness and ongoing challenges. This systematic literature review (SLR) examines 20 studies to explore both micro- and macro-level perspectives on MBKM implementation. Findings reveal gaps in educator preparedness, student awareness, institutional policy alignment, and infrastructure support. At the macro level, systemic resistance and limited stakeholder engagement hinder policy uptake. This review proposes a comprehensive framework integrating these perspectives to guide more effective implementation strategies and support national education reform goals.

Abstract

The principles and rules of Islamic law are essentially established to realize human welfare, maintain justice, and uphold universal humanitarian values. Islamic law is not narrow-minded and rigid, but rather flexible, adaptive, and considers the social conditions of society. The principle of "la haraj" (not burdensome) demonstrates that Islamic law exists to provide convenience, not hardship, as emphasized in the maxim "al-masyaqqah tajlib al-taysir" (difficulty brings ease). The implementation of Islamic law is also carried out in stages (tadarruj), enabling society to adapt and fully internalize its values without causing social unrest. Thus, Islamic law emphasizes a balance between the text of sharia and the needs of human life, as well as between legal certainty and the common good. All of these principles lead to achieving the primary objectives of sharia (maqasid al-shari'ah), namely, safeguarding religion, life, intellect, lineage, and property, while upholding justice as the foundation of social life.

Abstract

Civil law is a branch of law that regulates relationships between individuals in social life. In the Indonesian context, civil law has two main systems that operate side by side: Indonesian civil law, which originates from the Dutch Civil Code (Burgerlijk Wetboek) and national regulations, and Islamic civil law, which originates from the Qur'an, Hadith, ijma', qiyas, and the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI). Indonesian civil law emphasizes legal certainty, codification, and the principle of secularity, while Islamic civil law prioritizes justice, welfare, and sharia values. Both cover family, marriage, inheritance, and property, but their regulatory mechanisms differ. District Courts are authorized to handle Indonesian civil law cases, while Religious Courts have jurisdiction over Islamic civil cases for Muslims. Thus, this comparison demonstrates that the two legal systems complement each other in legal practice in Indonesia, reflecting the distinctive legal pluralism and providing alternative dispute resolutions tailored to the needs of society.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini terletak pada upaya menjaga sekaligus memperkuat eksistensi seni tradisional Jawa Timur di perantauan melalui pengembangan Sanggar Seni Mustika Budaya. Program ini tidak hanya melestarikan kesenian sebagai identitas kultural, tetapi juga mengoptimalkannya sebagai modal sosial, ekonomi, dan budaya yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi. Dengan demikian, pengabdian ini tidak hanya relevan dengan kebutuhan masyarakat, tetapi juga memperkuat hasil temuan penelitian yang dilakukan sebelumnya melalui implementasi nyata di lapangan. Tujuan program ini semakin kuat ketika menyadari bahwa kesenian tradisional tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai hiburan, melainkan juga sarat dengan nilai sosial, moral, spiritual, dan historis.

Abstract

The development of the Internet of Things (IoT) has encouraged the adoption of smart technologies in agriculture to enable real-time environmental monitoring. This study aims to apply the k-Nearest Neighbor (k-NN) algorithm to classify agricultural environmental conditions into ideal and non-ideal categories based on IoT sensor data. The dataset used in this research was obtained from an open-source repository and consists of several environmental parameters, including temperature, humidity, and soil moisture. The research stages include data preprocessing, attribute and label determination, data normalization using the z-transformation method, and model evaluation through cross validation. The performance of the classification model was assessed using accuracy, precision, recall, and F-measure metrics. The experimental results indicate that the k-NN algorithm is capable of providing good classification performance in identifying agricultural environmental conditions. However, limitations were observed in detecting minority class instances, suggesting the need for further parameter optimization and model enhancement. This research is expected to serve as a foundation for the development of IoT-based smart agriculture systems to support more effective decision-making in agricultural environmental management.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has driven significant changes in the trade sector through the use of marketplaces as a medium for transactions. However, this progress also opens up opportunities for illegal practices, including the circulation of cigarettes without tax stamps. This study aims to analyze the criminal provisions regarding illegal cigarette transactions based on Law Number 39 of 2007 concerning Excise, particularly Articles 54 and 56, as well as to examine the accountability of the perpetrators through a study of the Medan District Court Decision Number 403/Pid.Sus/2023/PN Mdn. The research method uses a normative juridical approach through the analysis of legislation and court decisions, supported by legal literature. The results of the study show that the sale of cigarettes without tax stamps through marketplaces meets the elements of excise crime because actions such as offering, selling, or distributing taxable goods without payment marks are still considered to occur even if conducted online. Articles 54 and 56 are proven sufficient to prosecute the perpetrators with the threat of imprisonment and fines, including evidence obtained through digital tools. Analysis of Decision No. 403/Pid.Sus/2023/PN Mdn found that both defendants were proven to meet the elements of illegality and intent, but there was an imbalance in sentencing because the main perpetrator received a lighter punishment compared to the field perpetrator.
