Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat oleh Fakultas Pertanian yang bekerjasama dengan BPP Bange untuk mengedukasi kelompok tani di Kabupaten Mandailing Natal. Pada kegiatan ini dilakukan sosialisasi tentang aplikasi ZPT organik dengan menggunakan bahan alami seperti air kelapa, air cucian beras, keong mas, dan gula merah pada tanaman sayuran. Aplikasi zat pengatur tumbuh memberikan manfaat yang sangat penting dalam fase pertumbuhan dan perkembangan sayuran khususnya dimana pada daerah ini mata pencaharian adalah bertani dengan pemanfaaatan bahan organik yang dianggap sebagai hama bisa diguanakan sebagai bahan ZPT organik. Keong mas yang biasa dikenal sebagai hama pada tanaman bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan ZPT karena mengandung berbagai asam amino salah satunya adalah triftofan yang merupakan prekusor auksin. Peranauksin dalam pertumbuhan tanaman adalah pembesaran sel, mengatur formasi daun perkembangan buah sedangkan air kelapa tambahan mengandung ZPT organik jenis zeatin jenis sitokinin yang berfungsi untuk pemanjangan sel, penundaan penuaan pada tanaman,membentuk tunas dan lainny. Hasil dari Kegiatan Pengabdian ini memberikan manfaat pada kelompok tani dan wawasan pada seluruh mitra kerja sama pengolahan bahan organik menjadi ZPT dan manfaatnya pada tanaman sayuran khususnya menunjang pertumbuhan tanaman.

Abstract

The cost of feed consumption that continues to rise greatly affects the sustainability of cultivation activities, especially catfish cultivation. The partner in this service activity is a livestock group with the name Pangkal Ikan group. This group is domiciled in Pangkalan Village, kejuruan muda, Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh Province. Mitra focuses on hatchery, rearing and fattening Sangkuriang Catfish (Clarias gariepinus). The form of obstacles faced by partners today is factory-made feed which tends to be expensive and always rising and partners do not yet have the ability to cultivate silkworms and make feed independently. Therefore, this programs (PKM) is carried out to process alternative feed to replace commercial feed by utilizing maggot from black soldier flies (Hermetia illucens) or Black Soldier Fly (BSF) and silkworms (Tubifex sp) which are high in protein in reducing feed costs and increasing catfish production yields. . This service was carried out for 6 months with several stages, namely the preparation stage, socialization of the PKM program, training on the application of silkworm cultivation technology and processing BSF flies into pellet-shaped feed. Next, the operational assistance stage and ending with the evaluation monitoring stage. Based on the results of the activity shows that partners are very interested in the theme created. This can be seen from the enthusiastic involvement of partners in following and practicing directly silkworm cultivation techniques and pellet making techniques made from BSF fly maggots. In this activity, partners are fully involved directly so that later partners are able to practice the knowledge that has been given independently. It can be concluded that the implementation of the program is able to have a positive impact on partners who have been able to reduce feed costs.

Abstract

Penggunaan LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) di Indonesia umum untuk memasak karena dianggap lebih ramah lingkungan, tetapi juga membawa risiko kebakaran akibat kebocoran gas. Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang deteksi dini kebocoran LPG dan mengembangkan alat deteksi berbasis Arduino dengan sensor TGS 822, 2600, dan 2610. Metode yang digunakan mencakup sosialisasi, perakitan prototipe, dan pengujian alat. Hasilnya, prototipe efektif mendeteksi kebocoran dan memberikan peringatan melalui layar LCD dan alarm buzzer. Alat ini telah disosialisasikan kepada masyarakat untuk mengurangi risiko kebakaran dan memberikan solusi praktis dalam menangani kebocoran gas LPG.

Abstract

Proyek kemanusiaan bertajuk pemanfaatan VCO berbasis rempah sebagai solusi alami untuk penyembuhan luka ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat di TK Al-Ikhsan, Aceh Timur, mengenai manfaat Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) sebagai alternatif alami untuk pengobatan luka. Proyek ini dirancang dengan pendekatan edukatif dan aplikatif melalui sosialisasi tentang cara pembuatan VCO yang diperkaya dengan rempah-rempah, seperti jahe merah, temulawak, kunyit, dan lengkuas, yang diketahui memiliki sifat anti-inflamasi dan antibakteri. Kegiatan meliputi penyuluhan langsung, demonstrasi praktis pembuatan VCO, serta distribusi produk siap pakai kepada masyarakat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta mengenai manfaat VCO dalam penyembuhan luka dan perawatan kulit, serta tingginya minat masyarakat untuk mengadopsi produk alami dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pengenalan VCO sebagai solusi kesehatan berbasis bahan alami diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif yang aman, efektif, dan berkelanjutan dalam mendukung kesejahteraan masyarakat

Abstract

Tofu production in Langsa City is mostly produced by small businesses, one of which is the UMKM Usaha Tahu Maju Mandiri. Based on initial observations, the problems faced by these MSMEs are not maximizing the use of solid tofu dregs which are of selling value, lack of knowledge in more attractive product packaging, and not having a well-structured financial bookkeeping system. The solutions offered are in the form of outreach about maximizing the use of tofu dregs that can be of marketable value, designing product labels, as well as training in making ice cream and tofu dregs sticks, product packaging techniques, and making simple financial reports. This activity is carried out in three stages, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. The method used is the Participatory Rural Appreciation (PRA) method with lecture techniques, interactive discussions, demonstrations and direct practice. This activity went well. partners gained knowledge about making ice cream and sticks from solid tofu dregs, as well as increased partner motivation in developing their business, namely by selling ice cream products and tofu dregs stick

Abstract

The need for water by all living creatures is a need that cannot be separated from every day of life. In the use of water, especially for rice fields, in order to meet food needs and regional development, the Indonesian Government is carrying out development efforts in the irrigation sector which aims to make it directly felt by the community in meeting water needs. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the availability and need for irrigation water in the Seunebok Aceh village with the Seunebok Bacee irrigation area which is a rice field with a planting pattern of only rice. The research method is direct observation in the field. The results of the evaluation of the availability and need for irrigation water in this study show that the availability of water in Seunebok Village, Aceh, is 134.56 m3/s, which is very sufficient to support the irrigation water needs in the rice fields in the village, namely with an NFR of 6.06 mm/day and the need for irrigation water. water (DR) of 1.08 l/sec/ha. And the planned flood discharge at the smallest return period (Q2) was 20,153 m3/s and at the largest return period (Q50) was 31,952 m3/s and the main discharge using the F.J Mock Method was 12,078 m3/s.

Abstract

This study is an independent study that aims toanalyze and determine the scope of irrigation flow in SeunebokAceh Village, Bendahara District, Aceh Tamiang. The methodused is a descriptive quantitative approach with data collectionthrough questionnaires and interviews with 12 respondentsconsisting of residents and village officials. The results of thestudy indicate that several areas experience limited water supplyduring the dry season, the soil structure of the rice fields inSeuneubok Bacee Village, Aceh Tamiang, does not supportagricultural activities, with differences in the height of the ricefield area and the irrigation channel. Where the rice fields arehigher than the irrigation channel itself. This study concludesthat innovative technology is needed, namelythe hydram pump.

Abstract

This community service program aims to map zones that have the potential to have aquifer layers as sources of clean water. The activity was carried out in Lam Apeng Village, Aceh Province. Clean water is a basic human need in life and in this village getting sufficient water sources or aquifers is still a challenge. By using the geophysical method, namely the geoelectric method, which is one of the geophysical methods widely used in Indonesia as an environmentally friendly and inexpensive method, we can identify underground layers that contain water based on the resistivity values ​​obtained from the measurements. Community involvement in data collection can also help with general mapping in the research area. The survey results show a potential aquifer zone at a depth of 6 to 18 meters. These findings can support future well drilling efforts. This activity shows the importance of combining science and local participation to solve everyday problems in rural areas.

Abstract

SMA Negeri Unggul Aceh Timur is located on uneven and contoured land with cohesive soil types such as clay and loam. During the rainy season, the school will experience waterlogging that lasts quite a long time. This happens because rainwater does not immediately seep into the ground because the nature of fine-grained cohesive soil tends to have dense particles. For soil conditions like this, it is necessary to make holes to collect rainwater runoff so that it will seep into the ground more quickly, called Rainwater Infiltration Wells (SRAH). The Community Service Activity (PKM) carried out by Lecturers at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Samudra University aims to provide solutions to schools anticipating the occurrence of rainwater inundation thats building rainwater infiltration wells (SRAH). The process of implementing the activity went well and school residents were able to understand the function of rainwater infiltration wells. However, for a fairly large area such as SMA Negeri Unggul Aceh Timur, more infiltration wells are needed to accommodate the water puddles that occur after rain

Abstract

GLP (good laboratory practices) dapat didefinisikan sebagai standar-standar, aturan-aturan, prosedur-prosedur dan praktek kegiatan di Laboratorium. Penerapan GLP secara umum untuk meminimalkan kesalahan dalam kegiatan praktek, penelitian atau analisis. Status laboratorium pangan yang baru memiliki kekurangan seperti prosedur keamanan yang belum optimal, dan kurangnya panduan yang jelas saat berkegiatan di dalam laboratorium sehingga menyulitakan pengguna dalam berkativitas didalamnya. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini pengguna laboratorium perlu diperkenalkan dengan panduan berlaboratorium yang baik atau GLP sehingga akan meningkatkan keakuratan hasil pengujian, mengurangi resiko kecelakaan kerja, serta meningkatkan efektifitas dan efisiensi kegitan oprasional di laboratorium. Terdapat peningkatan pemahaman pengguna labortaroium mengenai GLP sebesar 44% berdasarkan hasil survei dan pelaksanaan sosialisai GLP dari 43.3% menjadi 87,3% sehingga diharapkan penerapan prinsip GLP di laboratorium dapat berjalan lebih optimal.
