Abstract

This study aims to understand the informal learning process involved in making mendong mats in Blayu Village, Wajak District, Malang Regency. It specifically examines how learning is imparted by sources of knowledge to learners as a reference for this research. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic research type. Data for this research were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collected reveal the informal learning process of mendong mat crafting conducted by information sources and learners passed down from generation to generation, as well as the stages of mendong mat making from start to finish. The results of the study indicate that the informal learning process is carried out by the people of Blayu Village from generation to generation. This is done to ensure that the local wisdom embodied in mendong mat crafting, which is a distinctive feature of Blayu Village, remains preserved. Additionally, according to mendong mat weavers, who are mostly housewives, this weaving activity is suitable for housewives because, despite engaging in weaving, they can still perform other household chores. Based on the research and discussions conducted, it can be concluded that the informal learning process of mendong mat crafting occurs through four stages: 1) Observation Stage, 2) Participation Stage in the making of mendong mats, 3) Trial Stage, and 4) Independent Crafting Stage. The informal learning of mendong mat crafting is passed down through generations in Blayu Village, representing a form of local wisdom preservation that will continue to be maintained and passed on to future generations. Based on the results of the research, the researcher suggests that mendong mat weavers continue to preserve local wisdom by providing informal learning not only to their descendants but also to other interested individuals. Future researchers are encouraged to use this study as a reference and explore broader and more interesting topics, as well as delve deeper into the local wisdom of mendong mat crafting.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia faces various challenges in an effort to improve its quality, which is greatly influenced by the leadership of school principals and the management of administrative staff. This study aims to analyze the contribution of these two elements in efforts to improve the quality of education. The method applied in this research is a literature study, by collecting data from various articles and relevant research. The findings show that the synergy between the principal's leadership with a clear vision and effective administrative management is crucial to creating a supportive learning environment. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of harmonious collaboration between principals and administrative staff in improving the effectiveness of school operations, which in turn contributes to improving the overall quality of education. Therefore, capacity building and communication between the two parties should be continuously improved to achieve better educational goals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak transformasi kepemimpinan digital terhadap efisiensi dan transparansi di sekolah dasar. Dengan metode kualitatif melalui studi literatur, penelitian ini menganalisis berbagai jurnal yang relevan untuk memahami penerapan kepemimpinan digital dalam konteks pendidikan dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknologi digital dalam kepemimpinan sekolah dasar telah meningkatkan efisiensi administratif, memperbaiki kualitas komunikasi, serta memperkuat transparansi dalam pengelolaan sekolah. Kepala sekolah yang mengadopsi teknologi informasi dapat membuat keputusan yang lebih cepat dan berdasarkan data yang akurat, meningkatkan keterbukaan dalam proses manajemen. Kesimpulannya, transformasi kepemimpinan digital tidak hanya memperbaiki efisiensi operasional sekolah tetapi juga memperkaya budaya sekolah dengan meningkatkan partisipasi seluruh komunitas sekolah.

Abstract

Empathy is not yet fully possessed by all students. Many students do not realize that empathy is very important to have. The presence of peer counseling in schools plays a crucial role because not all students are open to counseling with school counselors. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of peer counseling training in increasing empathy among high school students. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The study was conducted at SMAN 2 Batu with tenth-grade students, involving a total of three student subjects. Data were collected through interviews after the subjects participated in peer counseling training. The results of the study concluded that peer counseling training is effective in increasing empathy among tenthgrade students at SMAN 2 Batu. This is evidenced by changes in several students who participated in the peer counseling training, where initially, the students did not have empathy for their peers or teachers, but after participating in the training, these students showed changes in understanding the importance of developing empathy

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between democracy education management in schools or universities and student political participation in demonstrations. Focusing on five major demonstrations in Indonesia over the past decade, it explores how democracy education shapes students' political awareness and involvement in social actions, while also contributing to the development of Pancasila Student profiles. The research uses a literature review method to delve into issues surrounding democracy education and the Pancasila Student profile. Empirical data was gathered from media reports, particularly Kompas daily, which has extensively documented student demonstrations in Indonesia. The findings suggest that democracy education management in educational institutions significantly influences student political participation in national and societal life, as envisioned in the Pancasila Student profile.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dilaksanakan dengan tujuan memberikan pelatihan kepada mahasiswa dalam menyusun artikel ilmiah, serta menyiapkan kemampuan dalam mendukung kegiatan outbound ke luar negeri bagi mahasiswa Pendidikan Luar Biasa, Universitas Negeri Malang. Metode yang digunakan adalah Pre-test dan Post-test dan terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Bentuk kegiatan berupa: pelatihan penulisan artikel ilmiah yang meliputi pembuatan judul, pendahuluan, menentukan metode, hasil dan pembahasan, serta kesimpulan dan daftar referensi. Hasil yang dicapai dalam kegiatan PKM ini adalah 1) mahasiswa lebih mengetahui bagaimana teknik dalam menulis suatu artikel ilmiah hasil penelitian, 2) peserta pelatihan telah memiliki keterampilan dalam menulis artikel ilmiah hasil penelitian, 3) peserta pelatihan mengetahui bagaimana melakukan submit dan publish artikel pada jurnal yang dituju.Berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest, ditemukan peningkatan pada pemahaman mahasiswa dalam menulis artikel, yang mulanya sebesar 52% menjadi 90%.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and validate an Academic Stress Inventory for high school students at SMAN 1 Probolinggo. Utilizing a modified Borg & Gall Research and Development (R&D) model, the inventory was based on Gadzella & Masten's (2005) framework, encompassing academic stressors and reactions. Initially comprising 52 items, it was pilot-tested with 203 tenth-grade students using a cross-sectional design. The sample size was obtained using simple random sampling to ensure a representative sample of the student population. Validity was assessed using Pearson Correlation, resulting in 51 validated items. The inventory showed high reliability with a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.934. It categorizes academic stress into low, moderate, and high levels. The data collection procedure involved administering the inventory during school hours. This validated tool addresses a critical gap at SMAN 1 Probolinggo, providing a structured measure of academic stress. Abstract

Abstract This research discusses the management of learning and training based on improving skills for students with special needs or disabilities. This research uses a systematic literature review-based research method that aims to provide in-depth theoretical and practical perspectives. This research step is to search for references and literature relevant to the research objectives. The results show that learning and training for learners with special needs cannot stand alone, but are mutually supportive and sustainable in their management and processes. Learning and training for students with special needs by paying attention to the needs of intellectual skills and skills or life skills and paying attention to the demands of the needs in the era of society 5.0. Implementation of learning and training management for students with special needs, namely by introducing them to the field of skills, as well as their interests and talents, encouraging consistency and sustainability in the interests of talents and skills for students to explore their chosen field. Management on meeting the educational needs of students with disabilities is divided into two, namely managerial education programs that are equal to regular education programs, and independence development programs that aim to train independence and explore the life skills of students in the world of work and the business world. Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas manajemen pembelajaran dan pelatihan berbasis peningkatan keterampilan bagi peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus atau disabilitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian berbasis tinjauan literatur sistematik atau Systematic Literature Review yang bertujuan untuk memberikan perspektif teoritis dan praktis secara mendalam. Langkah penelitian ini yaitu dengan melakukan pencarian referensi dan literatur yang relevan dengan tujuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran dan pelatihan bagi peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus tidak dapat berdiri sendiri, melainkan saling mendukung dan berkesinambungan di dalam manajemen dan prosesnya. Pembelajaran dan pelatihan bagi peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus dengan memperhatikan kebutuhan kecakapan intelektual dan kecakapan keterampilan atau life skill dan memperhatikan tuntutan kebutuhan pada era society 5.0. Implementasi manajemen pembelajaran dan pelatihan bagi peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus yaitu dengan melakukan pengenalan terhadap bidang keterampilan, maupun minat dan bakat mereka mendorong konsistensi serta keberlanjutan pada minat bakat dan keterampilan bagi peserta didik agar mendalami bidang yang mereka pilih. Manajemen pada pemenuhan kebutuhan pendidikan peserta didik disabilitas dibagi menjadi dua yaitu manajerial program pendidikan yang disetarakan dengan program pendidikan reguler, dan program pengembangan kemandirian yang bertujuan untuk melatih kemandirian dan menggali life skill peserta didik dalam dunia kerja dan dunia usaha.

The study was conducted to test the effectiveness of interactive multimedia based on ispring suite 9 on students' independent character. The research design was one group pretest-posttest conducted on one group only by providing a pre-questionnaire and post-questionnaire of independent character. Abstract

In 2018, the result of the Program For International Student (PISA), indonesia’s mathematics ability had an average score of 379 or ranked 73 out of 79 countries where indonesia’s children were not competent and experienced difficulties in learning related to mathematics. The solution to improve children’s early math skills is to use innovative and interesting learning media for children, namely animation. Therefore, this study aims to find out whether there is a significant difference between before and after the animation of Eddy The Clever Fox in improving the early math skills of children aged 5-6 years. The type of research is quantitative pre-experiment with one group pretest posttest design. Data collection techniques are carried out by testing and documentation. The worksheets are first tested with validity and reliability tests. The mean results in the pretest and posttest were 69.62 and 89.61, which increased after the treatment. The hypothesis test used is the Wilcoxon test with a significance that H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted so that there is a difference between the initial mathematical ability of children aged 5-6 years before and after the treatment in the form of animated show of Eddy The Clever Fox and it can be concluded that the animation is effective in improving the initial mathematical ability of children aged 5-6 years.
