Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the implementation of the spiritual values strengthening program at the elementary education level at SDN 1 Bojong Kulon. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, this study explores the strategies, challenges, and impacts of various spiritual programs integrated into the curriculum and extracurricular activities. Data collection was carried out through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with 27 informants consisting of class teachers, religious education teachers, and students, and analysis of school documents during the period January to June 2024. The research was conducted in March 2024. This research reveals that SDN 1 Bojong Kulon enhances spiritual values by applying four principal strategies, namely: (1) integration of spiritual values in thematic learning, (2) daily habituation programs, (3) spiritual-based extracurricular activities, and (4) school-family partnerships. The main challenges faced include limited teacher training, diversity of students' family backgrounds, and the influence of digital media. Nevertheless, the implementation of the spiritual values strengthening program has shown a positive impact on student behavior, as observed through improved discipline practices, increased honesty in daily interactions, enhanced tolerance toward differences, and greater empathy in peer relationships. This study concludes that a holistic and collaborative approach between schools and families is the key to the success of a program to strengthen spiritual values at the elementary education level.

Abstract

Hydroponic systems require precise control over nutrient levels and water flow to ensure optimal plant growth. Manual management is still widely used, which often leads to imprecise nutrient delivery, water wastage, and inefficiency. This study aims to develop an intelligent system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and fuzzy logic to automatically regulate pH and TDS levels in a Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) hydroponic setup. The methodology includes the integration of pH, TDS, ultrasonic, and flow sensors with an ESP32 microcontroller and the Blynk application. Sensor data is processed using fuzzy logic to produce outputs in the form of liquid volume (liters) and pump activation duration (seconds). The system is designed to control pH UP/DOWN and fertilizer pumps are automatically based on the delta and error values of the measured parameters. Implementation results indicate that the system effectively maintains nutrient stability and reduces water and fertilizer wastage. Additionally, it enables real-time remote monitoring via a mobile application. Therefore, this intelligent system offers an efficient and adaptive solution for supporting sustainable hydroponic farming.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how local cultural values are integrated into human resource development (HRD) strategies to address workforce transformation in the Industry 4.0 era. This phenomenon is critical as technological advancements demand training models that not only focus on technical competencies but also incorporate local social and cultural contexts. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed to investigate a community-based training program in a local Indonesian training institution. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving five key informants selected through purposive and snowball sampling techniques. Thematic analysis revealed three major themes: the internalization of gotong royong (mutual cooperation) in the training curriculum, reinforcement of local work ethic as a foundation for discipline, and collective responsibility as a collaborative learning strategy. The findings indicate that HRD programs based on local values can foster a more participatory, adaptive, and contextually relevant learning ecosystem. Theoretically, this study contributes to the enrichment of Human Capital Theory, Transformational Learning, and Cultural Embeddedness frameworks. Practically, it offers an alternative community-based training model that supports workforce readiness amidst industrial transitions. The study recommends the development of national training policies that are more responsive to local cultural contexts.

Abstract

This study explores the strategic influence of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) on human resource (HR) performance by integrating Industry 4.0 readiness and Society 5.0 orientation. Drawing on data collected from 53 organizations in Indonesia, this research adopts a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that HRIS significantly enhances HR performance both directly and indirectly through the mediating effects of Industry 4.0 readiness and Society 5.0 values. While HRIS provides the technological infrastructure necessary for automation and data-driven decision-making, Industry 4.0 readiness reflects an organization’s capacity to adopt and integrate advanced technologies. Meanwhile, Society 5.0 adds a human-centered perspective, emphasizing inclusiveness, ethical use of technology, and employee well-being. This study contributes to the literature by proposing a holistic model that combines digital efficiency with ethical imperatives. Practically, the findings call for organizations to align their HRIS strategies not only with technological standards but also with social and ethical values. Recommendations are made for HR leaders, policymakers, and system developers to co-create inclusive and future-ready HR solutions. This research highlights the crucial role of HRIS in enabling human-centered digital transformation in emerging economies.

Abstract

This paper aims to examine the dynamics of conflict within organizations and the negotiation strategies that can be applied to manage and resolve such conflicts. The method used in this study is library research, involving the collection, review, and analysis of various relevant scholarly sources such as books, journals, and previous research articles. The findings indicate that organizational conflict is an inevitable phenomenon, often arising from differences in interests, values, communication, and organizational structures. Conflict can have both negative and positive impacts, depending on how it is managed by the organization. In this context, negotiation emerges as a key approach to achieving constructive conflict resolution. Effective negotiation strategies—such as collaboration, compromise, and win-win approaches—have proven to reduce tensions and enhance relationships among individuals and groups within organizations. Therefore, a deep understanding of conflict and negotiation techniques is crucial for the development of adaptive and harmonious organizational management.

Abstract

Neuroarchitecture is an approach that integrates neuroscientific knowledge with architectural design principles to create built environments that will support the well-being and productivity of its inhabitants. This paper debates primary concepts of neuroarchitecture – including its history and the four pillars of human well-being  that it carries with it – as well as its implications for designing futuristic workplaces supporting the mental health and creativity of Gen Z. It finally presents the psychological characteristics of Gen Z and its workplaces’ challenges  to emphasize the design’s need to focus on users’ emotional and biological aspects. As an empirical review, several real-case studies  are analyzed, such as Amazon Spheres in Seattle, Second Home Hollywood, Mr.Green’s Office in Brazil, applying neuroarchitecture principles, including natural lighting, biophilia elements, and space flexibility. Study results demonstrate that a concrete neuroarchitecture application can significantly enhance the comfort, collaboration, and innovation, resulting in Gen Z performance and mental health. This paper concludes that designing future workplaces for Gen Z will require a holistic approach, combining the excellence of technology with neuroscientific care for users.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis secara kritis konsep kepemimpinan Islam dalam konteks masyarakat multikultural dan pluralistik. Dalam dunia global yang semakin kompleks dan heterogen, pemimpin Muslim dihadapkan pada tantangan besar dalam mengelola perbedaan budaya, agama, etnis, dan ideologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode riset kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif, mengumpulkan dan mengkaji data dari berbagai literatur klasik dan kontemporer yang relevan, baik dari sumber-sumber keislaman (al-Qur’an, hadis, karya ulama) maupun teori sosial modern. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan Islam secara normatif memiliki prinsip-prinsip yang mendukung penguatan multikulturalisme dan pluralisme, seperti keadilan (al-‘adl), musyawarah (shūrā), toleransi (tasāmuḥ), dan penghormatan terhadap hak asasi manusia. Namun, dalam praktiknya, penerapan nilai-nilai ini sering kali terbentur oleh kepentingan politik, tafsir eksklusif terhadap ajaran agama, dan resistensi terhadap perubahan sosial. Oleh karena itu, kepemimpinan Islam kontemporer dituntut untuk membangun paradigma inklusif yang tidak hanya berakar pada nilai-nilai teologis, tetapi juga responsif terhadap dinamika sosial budaya yang majemuk. Studi ini merekomendasikan perlunya reinterpretasi terhadap teks-teks keagamaan dalam kerangka maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah guna memperkuat kapasitas pemimpin Muslim dalam menjawab tantangan pluralitas zaman modern.

Abstract

Innovation is a crucial factor to improve the competitiveness of an organization in the ever-changing digital environment. Efficient innovation management not only focuses on the creation of new products, but also considers transformation in processes, business models, and strategies implemented. This research applies a qualitative approach through a literature review method to explore innovation management strategies that can strengthen organizational competitiveness. The findings show that organizations must adopt a culture of innovation, leverage digital technology, and collaborate with external parties to create new value. In addition, challenges such as regulatory uncertainty, skills shortages, and resistance to change must be faced to ensure success in implementing innovation strategies. With a planned and responsive approach, organizations can improve their ability to survive and thrive in a competitive global market.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of workload and fatigue on operator productivity at the Paraxylene Refinery of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional RU IV Cilacap. Using a quantitative research method and a causal associative approach, data were collected via questionnaires from 64 employees selected through simple random sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple regression and path analysis techniques. The results indicate that workload has a significant positive direct effect on productivity, but a negative indirect effect through fatigue. Fatigue was found to have a significant negative impact on productivity and acts as a mediating variable in the relationship between workload and productivity. Simultaneously, workload and fatigue contribute 61.2% to variations in productivity. This study contributes to the literature by confirming fatigue as a significant mediator affecting operator performance in high-risk industrial settings.

Abstract

Digitalization has become a major catalyst in business transformation, including in the oil and gas sector, which has high operational complexity. This study aims to analyze the influence of digitalization on business process innovation and organizational performance at PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI) Refinery Unit (RU) VI Balongan, one of the strategic refineries in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 122 employee respondents at PT KPI RU VI Balongan, who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The digitalization variable was measured through indicators of digital technology adoption, improvement of employee digital culture and skills. Business process innovation was evaluated based on operational cost reduction, increased process speed, while organizational performance was measured through effectiveness and efficiency indicators. The data analysis technique used was Multiple Linear Regression (MLR). MLR was chosen because of its ability to test the simultaneous and partial influence of several independent variables on one directly measurable dependent variable. The results showed a regression coefficient of 0.975 with a t-value of 19.700 and a significance level of 0.000. This shows that digitalization has a very significant and positive influence on business process innovation. Meanwhile, the results of multiple linear regression analysis show that business process innovation has a regression coefficient of 0.474, with a t value = 7.080 and significance = 0.000. The Beta value of 0.529 indicates that business process innovation makes a significant contribution to improving organizational performance. The influence of digitalization and business process innovation on organizational performance has a fairly strong level of strength because the R2 value is getting bigger (approaching one) and it is known that the influence of digitalization and business process innovation on organizational performance is 0.843 or 84.3% while the remaining 15.7% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study such as leadership and management, organizational culture, human resource competencies and so on. The three variables are interrelated and form a value chain that strengthens the competitiveness and efficiency of PT KPI RU VI Balongan. Ultimately, the contribution of this study is to provide empirical evidence on the role of digitalization in improving organizational performance in the Indonesian oil refinery industry, while providing practical guidance for the management of PT KPI RU VI Balongan.
