Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the goal of making machines smarter and providing significant changes towards practical application. One of the AI ​​is the tashkeel application which is used to automatically give a vowel to an Arabic text by writing or pasting Arabic text and it will automatically be honored. However, not all practical tools give scientifically correct results. Sometimes there are differences in terms of syntax or the study of words and groups of words that form a phrase, clause and sentence. Because, it is known that the application is a tool without knowing the scientific basis so that it gives a sense of doubt about the correctness of the results. So that the researcher analyzes how the syntax errors or mistakes in compiling the linguistic structure in Arabic so that it is in accordance with the nahwu rules. It is intended that in the future, the Tashkeel application can be used by the general public without any doubts. This research uses literature study method through several books, journals and analysis from various related sources. So that the data obtained is that the harokat obtained through the tashkeel application is considered correct in accordance with the rules of Arabic nahwu, then the community, especially students or students, can easily use the application to improve maharah qiraah.

Abstract

As English is massively learned, it becomes one of compulsory subject in university level. However, it can be a problem for EFL (English as Foreign Language) learners of ESP (English for Specific Purposes), such the students of Islamic studies. Therefore, students need more learning sources that can be easily accessed to facilitate them study English. This study intends to develop English supplementary media for students of Islamic studies. This study is conducted qualitatively using Research and Development design and applies ADDIE: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation as research model. The participants of this study are 35 second semester students of Islamic studies in Tarbiyah Faculty, IAIN Kediri. The researchers used questionnaire to collect information about what English skill students need to learn as students of Islamic studies. Furthermore, the researchers designed and developed the media according to the result of preliminary study. Then, the media is validated by experts using prepared validation sheet. To ensure its effectiveness and to find out students' response towards this media, the researches implemented the developed media to the students. In the end, students show positive response towards the developed media. This media is expected to be used extensively by early year students of Islamic study.

Abstract

This pesantren education model not only maintains its existence, but it also significantly contributes to the advancement of science. Within the world of pesantren, there is a term known as pesantren tradition. Pesantren tradition is defined as the habits practiced by pesantren residents. Therefore, to envision the future of pesantren education and its potential to play a strategic role and be considered an option, it is essential to possess open-mindedness and courage to address its challenges fundamentally and comprehensively. One approach to achieving this is by cultivating habits and traditions within pesantren. The results have shown that several traditions have developed in the boarding schools studied by the author, which are related to both scientific and skill-based fields. In science, these traditions include writing books, practicing reading the yellow book, following the rules of learning Nahwu and Sharaf, and fostering the habit of memorizing vocabulary (in Arabic and English). In the field of skills, there are traditions such as engaging in foreign language conversations (in Arabic and English), reading maulid, observing the pilgrimage tradition, participating in muhadharah/foreign language speech practice (in Arabic, English, and Indonesian), adhering to the rules of memorizing the Qur'an, memorizing prayers for the deceased, conducting haul prayers and congratulatory prayers, upholding haulan traditions, and practicing khat/calligraphy.

Abstract

ChatGPT Open AI is an artificial intelligence-based machine technology that is trained to be able to mimic human conversation using NLP (Natural Language Processing) technology. In fact, ChatGPT can be used to produce questions with good and effective techniques. Therefore, the opportunity to use this technology is wide open for education in Indonesia, one of which is in helping to make HOTS (high order thinking skills) questions quickly and easily for teachers to practice 21st century skills. These skills include critical thinking skills, creative thinking skills, collaboration, and communicative skills. The research method used is in the form of an experiment using a laptop with 4 GB of RAM connected to an internet network and a ChatGPT account which can be created for free at https://chat.openai.com. The results of experiments carried out using ChatGPT can produce HOTS questions in the amount of 5 multiple choice questions complete with discussion on optical material that still needed further examination. The total time needed to complete this experiment is approximately 3 minutes, including the time to document the ChatGPT processing results.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate students' opinions on extensive reading using the Wattpad platform and its advantages in enhancing English language proficiency. The study employed descriptive qualitative writing methods and conducted in-depth interviews with two undergraduate English education majors from a North Sumatra state university. These participants were purposively selected due to their substantial engagement in Wattpad's extensive reading for over three years. Data collected from the interviews were analysed to answer the research question. The findings demonstrate that extensive reading on Wattpad positively impacts students' language proficiency and supports better language memorization. In conclusion, this study sheds light on the benefits of online platforms like Wattpad in facilitating in-depth reading experiences for language learners.

Abstract

The online learning process and the use of instructional media which are still limited to printed books allow students to misunderstand mathematical concepts. This study aims to develop interactive learning media using power point and prove the quality of the media through the analysis of the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the media on student learning outcomes. The type of research used is Research and Development with the ADDIE development model includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluate. The instruments used in this study were validation sheets, response questionnaires, and mathematics learning achievement test questions. The results of the validation of media and material experts obtained calculations of 269 and 247 with very valid categories. The results of the questionnaire validation obtained a score of 1,924 in the very practical category. The results of the study test after the application of learning media Mission Task obtained the percentage of classical completeness of 86.36%, this means that the media is effective on mathematics learning outcomes. if the students' comprehension results are included in the fairly high category on the indicator question number 3b and very high on the other question indicators based on the total scores of all students

Abstract

The efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers in fostering student morals have an important urgency in forming good character. The purpose of this study was to find out the concepts used by teachers in providing Islamic Religious Education to SDIT Almarjan Duta Indah Bekasi students. The research method is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used in this study included class observation, teacher interviews, and document study. The subjects in this study were students of SDIT AlMarjan, Bekasi City. The results of the study show that the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers in fostering student morals have positively impacted student character development. Teaching practices that involve interactive learning, the use of role models, and the use of religious values in the context of everyday life help students understand and internalize moral and ethical values. Thus, the implications of the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers in fostering student morals are very important in improving student character, strengthening religious identity, improving the quality of Islamic religious education, and contributing to the formation of a moral society.

Abstract

In line with the rapid development of information and communication technology and globalization in the 21st century, reforms are needed in the world of education as a source of needs. The success of a nation is often based on progress and development in the world of education. One of the contributions of technology in the world of education is to make it easier for teachers to establish good communication with students or with students' parents. The existence of learning media is able to concretize concepts and ideas and is able to foster learning motivation in students. The learning resources that will be tested are in the form of materials and programs, namely by developing a simple android application Solar System. Validation was obtained with the "Very Eligible" category for each aspect in the form of a questionnaire filling instrument by lecturers of the Faculty of Tarbiyah at the IAIN Kediri.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence-based English apps, both web-based and mobile-based, have recently been massive. They offer users huge benefits especially for non-native students to enhance their English skills. Such applications should assist Indonesian students since English is a foreign language. This research aims to find out how interested English teachers are in utilizing apps in teaching and what factors influence it. This qualitative research is carried out with a semi-structured interview method that involves 9 English teachers from 7 schools spread across some areas in East Java Province. Embracing junior and senior high school levels is because English is a compulsory subject based on the current curriculum in Indonesia, Kurikulum Merdeka. Using thematic content analysis, the research reveals that only one English teacher employs English apps for supporting the teaching and learning of English while the remaining ones preserve traditional ways and media. The low interest in applying the English apps is because of some factors: 1) inadequate facilities like school computers and Wi-Fi, 2) no mobile phone for students in some schools, especially Islamic boarding schools, and 3) lack of teacher knowledge about certain good English apps. Hopefully, this research contributes to better knowledge and awareness about the importance of utilizing artificial intelligence such as English apps in teaching English to gain better education in the sophisticated era.

Abstract

The independent character of students is an important thing that must be possessed in the teaching and learning process. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between students' perceptions of Spiritual and Religiosity extracurriculars partially and together with the independent character of students at the MTS Level in East Bekasi District, Bekasi City. The research method used is a quantitative method with a correlation research type. Data analysis used the partial Paired T-Test, Anova Test, and the determinant coefficient test used the SPSS application. This study used random sampling with a sample of 187 students from a population of 352 students. The subjects in this study were high school level students specifically for class XI. The results of this study indicate that all research hypotheses are proven (sig.5%). Variable (X1) students' perceptions of Spiritual extracurriculars and variable (X2) Religiosity have a significant relationship with variable (Y) students' independent character. In addition, there is also a partial relationship between X1 and Y and X2 and Y.
