Abstract

This study aims to understand the working mechanisms of the brain and nervous system of elementary school children and their influence on learning and cognitive development. The brain and nervous system play an important role in regulating mental and physical activities such as perception, memory, attention and motor skills. Children in primary school are still experiencing significant brain development that affects their ability to receive, process and store information. This study uses a descriptive approach through literature research and direct observation of students' neurological responses during various learning activities. The results show that the relationship between brain function, the nervous system, and the learning environment plays an important role in improving students' conceptual understanding and practical skills. The significance of this research is expected to help teachers and educators develop more effective learning methods while still paying attention to the neurological factors that play a role in the learning process of elementary school students. Abstract

The Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model is an approach aimed at enhancing critical thinking and problem-solving skills in elementary school-aged children. At this developmental stage, students are capable of more logical and concrete thinking, and they begin to understand cause-and-effect concepts and connect ideas more effectively. In addition to their growing memory capabilities, students at this stage also start to learn how to plan and make decisions based on rational thinking. Therefore, the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) emphasizes active involvement of students in the learning process through the resolution of real-life problems that are relevant to their everyday lives.This research aims to analyze the influence of PBL on the cognitive development of elementary school students through a literature review method. Based on the literature study, PBL has been shown to be effective in stimulating cognitive development in students, particularly in critical, logical, and analytical thinking aspects. Through this approach, students are not only required to understand concepts but also to apply their knowledge in real-world situations. Abstract

This study investigates mindfulness practices' influence on improving social-emotional competence, learning motivation, and emotion regulation (specifically the amygdala) in elementary school students. Through a literature review, this study analyzes various previous studies on mindfulness implementation in elementary school children. The results of the study indicate that mindfulness has significant potential in improving various aspects of child development, including social-emotional competence, learning motivation, and emotional regulation abilities. The mechanisms of mindfulness in influencing the amygdala as the centre of emotion are also discussed in this study. The implications of the findings of this study for the development of curricula and learning practices in elementary schools will be further explained. Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of neuroscience in education through a literature review on brain-based learning processes. Neuroscience provides deep insights into how the brain processes, stores, and retrieves information, which can be used to design more effective learning strategies that align with how the brain functions. In this study, various literature related to neuroscience and education were analyzed to identify key principles underlying the learning process, such as attention, memory, and motivation. The findings indicate that understanding the structure and function of the brain, including the role of the prefrontal cortex, amygdala, and hippocampus, is crucial for developing more adaptive and effective teaching methods. Integrating neuroscience into education can help create a more conducive learning environment, optimize student engagement, and improve learning outcomes. Abstract

This study examines the influence of traditional games on children's motor development as an important aspect of growing up. As children grow older, their gross motor skills improve, and traditional games play a significant role in stimulating this development. Games that use simple materials and reflect the culture of the community not only involve physical activity but also support children's cognitive and social development. The method used in this study was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to evaluate 20 qualitative and quantitative research journals. The study analyzed various forms of traditional games, such as jump rope, cricket, and congklak, which were shown to improve children's fine and gross motor skills, coordination, and social skills. The results of the analysis show that traditional games have a significant influence in improving children's motor skills, both at the early childhood education (PAUD) and primary school (SD) levels. From the literature review, it was found that traditional games provide extensive benefits for children's physical and social development. Thus, the integration of traditional games in physical education activities in schools is strongly recommended as a holistic and effective approach to support children's motor development. Abstract

Based on the results of observations, it shows that the results of studying science and technology on food chain material for class V students at SDN Kembangan Utara 08 Petang. are still low. Most experience difficulties in achieving the minimum completion criteria (KKM) score. The causal factor is monotonous learning. Educators only use lectures in delivering learning material. Therefore, researchers are trying to make improvements by implementing a roleplaying model which is expected to help in completing science learning. This research method uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The type of research is pre-experimental, which only involves one sample class, namely the experimental class, without a comparison class. Learning outcomes in science and science subjects using the roleplaying model for class V students at SDN Kembangan Utara 08 Petang. have increased. In cycle I the average student score was 75.78571 and in cycle II the average student score was 80.55556, an increase of 4.76985 for the average student score in food chain material. And with the roleplaying model, science and science learning can be carried out completely with good learning results. It can be concluded that the application of the roleplaying model can improve the science and science learning outcomes of class V students at  SDN Kembangan Utara 08 Petang.   Keywords: the results of studying, minimum completion criteria, roleplaying

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the implementation of the Discovery Learning Model on Critical Thinking Skills in Mathematics on Integer Material. Students VII (Seven) of SMPN 1 Malingping. The method in this study using quantitative with the experimental plan used in this study is Pretest-Post-test Control Group Design (Sugiyono, 2011). In this design there are two groups that are randomly selected, then given a pre-test to determine the initial condition is there a difference between the experimental group and the control group. The experimental class chosen by the researcher is students of SMPN Negeri 1 Malingping class VII A with a total of 25 students, and as a control class, namely VII B with a total of 25 students in the mathematics subject of Integer material. Based on the results of the study H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, namely the average learning outcomes of students about the critical thinking skills of students in the experimental class, namely Class VII-A with the Discovery Learning treatment is better than the control class, namely Class VII-B which is given treatment with the Conventional Learning method. So the author concludes "There is a positive influence on students' critical thinking skills by using Discovery Learning media on class VII-A students of SMP Negeri 1 Malingping in the 2023/2023 Academic Year. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the use of the Game-Based Learning (GBL) learning model on fractional arithmetic operations in grade V elementary school. This study uses a literature review research type with the selected review model being a narrative review. This study was conducted through the stage of collecting library source data, namely by analyzing published journals. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of the Game-Based Learning (GBL) model in mathematics learning, especially on fractional material, can have a positive effect on a pleasant learning atmosphere for students so that students can create a different learning experience from other learning models. Mathematics learning using the game-based learning model can create an interactive learning atmosphere because this learning model requires students to actively participate in the learning process as game players. The method used is qualitative, with data sources used in the form of secondary data obtained from several journals published in the last five years, articles, and previous research that have been analyzed by the author related to the problems to be studied in this study. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning system at SKH Negeri 02 Kota Serang in developing the competence and independence of students with special needs. The research uses a qualitative approach with literature analysis and direct observation at the school. The findings indicate that the application of constructivism theory, individualized learning, and the Montessori method can positively impact the development of students' competence and independence. However, there are still challenges such as limited facilities, the use of less interactive conventional teaching methods, and a lack of teacher training. This study concludes that despite the implementation of various approaches, improvements are needed in educational infrastructure and specialized teacher training. The development of more interactive methods and the use of diverse assistive technologies will support the enhancement of students' independence. This research is expected to contribute to the development of a more effective and responsive learning system for students with special needs. Abstract

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of project-based learning (PjBL) methods in improving the logic and decision-making skills of elementary school students. Using literature studies, an analysis was conducted on many relevant studies to understand the impact of PjBL in the educational context. The findings indicate that PjBL is effective in developing logical thinking and decision-making skills through solving real problems. This approach emphasizes collaboration, active exploration, and student involvement in projects that are relevant to everyday life. In addition to strengthening analytical and critical thinking skills, PjBL also encourages independent learning and teamwork, making it a suitable method for the needs of modern education.
