Abstract

This qualitative research aims to explore the teacher's creativity in implementing Indonesian language learning through cursive letters at MI Nahdlatul Ulama 01 Purwosari Kudus and its impact.  The study involved the school principal, the Class III Indonesian language teacher, and 28 Class III students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation.  The findings revealed that the teacher's creativity in teaching Indonesian language through cursive letters involved the use of a scientific approach and the alternating habituation method accompanied by ice-breaking activities.  Media such as posters, whiteboards, and fine notepads were also employed. The positive impacts of this implementation included increased student enthusiasm, improved and neater student writing,  and gradual enhancements in learning outcomes for cursive letter writing.  However, negative impacts were observed in the prolonged time needed for the process and the perceived difficulty in writing cursive letters, posing a distinct obstacle for students.

Abstract

The character of nationalism and religion forms the identity of the younger generation, not solely as knowledge but also as manifested in action.  This study aims to unveil the culture of nationalism and religious character at Nasima Elementary School (SD Nasima) in Semarang.  A qualitative case study methodology involving observation, interviews, and documentation was employed. The findings highlight that school residents perceive nationalism and religion as an environment characterized by nuanced patriotism and religious commitment, shaping the core values of the school.  The internalization of nationalism and religious characters is evident through the attitudes and behavior of school residents during commemoration and celebration activities, engagements reflecting nationalism and religious character, appreciation for the diversity of Nusantara culture, and discipline in executing activities related to these characters. The habitual integration of these characters is discernible in various facets, including daily routines, incidental programs, learning activities, extracurricular engagements, and environmental conditions.  The results suggest that learning transcends the cognitive domain; character development, as an essential aspect of the affective domain, emerges as a crucial facet in education.

Abstract

This research is prompted by the prevalence of child delinquency cases, encompassing issues such as bullying, lack of manners, and early-age smoking.  Concerns arise regarding the potential implications of these juvenile delinquencies on subsequent behaviors in adolescence.  The primary objective of this study is to delve deeper into the Rahmatan Lil Alamin Islamic values education model based on Muhammadiyah school culture at the Muhammadiyah Flagship Elementary School.  The focus is on understanding the role of schools in instilling character values and exploring the benefits of the Rahmatan Lil Alamin Islamic values education model within the context of Muhammadiyah school culture, particularly in strengthening character values at the Lemahdadi Muhammadiyah Leading Primary School. This research employs a qualitative methodology with a descriptive analysis approach.  Data collection, analysis, and description occur simultaneously to address the formulated problem.  The research findings reveal that programs rooted in Muhammadiyah school culture,  including strengthening students' daily worship, Hizbul Wathan training, sacred footprint training, leadership training, market day, Tahfidz Qur'an, and language strengthening in foreign and regional languages, effectively instill the Islamic values of Rahmatan Lil Alamin in students. Teachers play a crucial role in this process through integration into school culture and internalization in religious activities. The various models of Rahmatan Lil Alamin Islamic values education, grounded in Muhammadiyah school culture, significantly contribute to the transformation of students' character and behavioral values. The outcomes indicate a positive shift towards humanist, tolerant, friendly, and democratic attributes among students.

Abstract

Mental health issue among Indonesian students is prevalent. The Indonesian National Adolescent Mental Health Survey reports that over one-third of Indonesian adolescents are grappling with mental health concerns, leading to higher stress levels and negative effect on the academic quality. To address this issue, it is necessary to introduce the concept of resilience to students as a preventive measure against more severe issues. Student-centered learning (SCL) emerges as a viable approach to instilling resilience. Therefore, this research focused on the internalization of resilience through the SCL model in Merdeka curriculum. This qualitative field research involved deputy head of curriculum, the homeroom teacher and students of class 6B. Data were gathered through interviews and observations, and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings suggest that the SCL model encourages active and enthusiastic student participation. Teachers employ various strategies, such as project-based learning, problem-based learning, technology integration, differentiated learning, and fostering a positive environment, to instill resilience in students. These initiatives empower students to cultivate resilience, equipping them with the essential skills to navigate life successfully in the future. This study concludes that SCL model in Merdeka curriculum can instill resilience in students, thus making students strong and resilient in receiving learning.
