Abstract

Forward sales in Islamic finance, particularly through Salam and Istisna’ contracts, are important financing instruments for supporting the real sector in accordance with sharia principles. This article examines the sharia provisions governing Salam and Istisna’ contracts and identifies practical issues encountered in their implementation in Islamic banking. The research method used is a literature review with a descriptive qualitative approach, examining various primary and secondary sources such as fatwas from the National Sharia Council, academic journals, and relevant regulatory documents. The findings indicate that Salam and Istisna’ contracts have strict Sharia provisions to avoid riba, gharar, and uncertainty, with the main differences lying in the payment mechanisms and the nature of the goods being traded. However, in practice, there are various challenges such as inconsistent regulations, operational risks, low public literacy, and limitations in infrastructure and human resources. To address these issues, an optimization strategy is needed, including improved education, product innovation, regulatory harmonization, and strengthened risk management and technology utilization. The optimal implementation of Salam and Istisna’ contracts has positive implications for the development of Islamic banking, expanding financial inclusion, and promoting sustainable economic growth based on Islamic principles. This article provides recommendations for regulators, industry players, and academics to collectively create a healthy and sustainable Islamic financial ecosystem

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of workload and job insecurity on turnover intention through job satisfaction as a mediating variable at PT Java Wood Industri. The research uses a quantitative explanatory approach with a sample of 303 employees selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS 26. The results show that workload has a significant positive effect on turnover intention, while job insecurity does not significantly affect turnover intention. Job satisfaction also has a significant positive effect on turnover intention. However, neither workload nor job insecurity significantly affects job satisfaction, and job satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between workload/job insecurity and turnover intention. The findings suggest that companies should focus on managing workload and improving job satisfaction to reduce employee turnover intention.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of public service, quality of work life, and integrity on the performance of village officials in Bulakamba District, Brebes Regency. A quantitative approach was used with a survey method. The population in this study consisted of all 149 village apparatus employees in Bulakamba District. The sample size was determined using the Slovin formula with a 5% margin of error, resulting in 109 respondents selected based on the criteria of being over 17 years old and having at least one year of work experience. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study show that public service has a positive and significant effect on the performance of village officials. The quality of work life also has a positive and significant effect, indicating the importance of a supportive work environment. In addition, integrity has been proven to have a positive and significant impact on performance, emphasizing that honesty and responsibility are crucial factors in improving work outcomes. Simultaneously, public service, quality of work life, and integrity jointly contribute 45.00% to the performance of village officials, while the remaining 55.00% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of integrity, work efficiency, and job characteristics on the performance of village apparatus, with organizational commitment serving as a mediating variable. The research was conducted among village officials in Wanasari District, Brebes Regency, involving 109 respondents selected using a quantitative approach through questionnaire-based data collection. The data were analyzed using SmartPLS. The results of the path coefficient analysis indicate that integrity has a positive effect on organizational commitment, with a coefficient value of 0.286. Work efficiency also exerts a positive influence on organizational commitment, with a coefficient of 0.215, suggesting that officials who complete tasks efficiently and accurately tend to demonstrate higher levels of commitment. Job characteristics, such as role clarity and task challenge, also contribute positively to organizational commitment, with a coefficient of 0.138. Furthermore, integrity, work efficiency, and job characteristics each have a direct impact on the performance of village officials, with coefficient values of 0.086, 0.167, and 0.088, respectively. Notably, organizational commitment plays a significant mediating role, with a direct effect on performance amounting to 0.206. These findings underscore the importance of organizational loyalty and a strong sense of institutional belonging in enhancing the effectiveness of village apparatus. Strengthening organizational commitment emerges as a critical factor in maximizing the impact of integrity, work efficiency, and job characteristics on performance outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of individual competence, work attitude, and internal communication on employee performance at PT Kido Mulia Indonesia. The background of this research is based on the importance of competent human resources, a positive work attitude, and effective internal communication in improving employee productivity. The research method used is quantitative with an associative approach. The sample consisted of 99 respondents who are employees of PT KMI, selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The results show that, partially, the variable of individual competence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a t-value greater than the t-table value and a significance level below 0.05. Similarly, work attitude and internal communication variables also have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Simultaneously, the three independent variables significantly influence employee performance. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.736 indicates that 73.6% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by the three independent variables, while the remaining 26.4% is explained by other variables outside the model. The managerial implication of this research emphasizes the importance for company management to enhance employee competence through training programs, foster a positive work culture, and strengthen effective internal communication systems. These actions are expected to support the sustainable improvement of employee performance.

Abstract

The industrial revolution has encouraged companies to adopt technology in their business operations. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of perceptions of application usability and digital marketing on consumer purchasing decisions through applications. The study was conducted in the Denpasar area with a sample of 100 respondents. Data analysis in this study utilized multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that perceptions of app usability and digital marketing significantly influence consumer purchasing decisions through apps, both partially and simultaneously. Recommendations include that companies enhance app features and incorporate promotions within their apps.

Abstract

Shariah-based investments are increasingly in demand in Indonesia along with the increasing awareness to invest according to Islamic principles, such as being free from usury, gharar and maysir. However, low financial literacy is an obstacle in choosing the right instrument, especially for novice speculators. This study aims to identify the right type of Islamic investment and its selection criteria. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach, analyzing various academic and relevant sources. The results showed that Islamic mutual funds, sukuk, and gold are the most appropriate instruments because they are low-risk, affordable, and in accordance with sharia principles. The findings are expected to be an educative reference to improve financial literacy and encourage public participation in sustainable halal investment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze effective digital marketing strategies in increasing sales of household appliance products at Toko Mekar. The growth of digital technology has changed the business landscape, and businesses must adopt relevant marketing strategies to stay competitive. Through a qualitative approach, data is collected through in-depth interviews with Store owners who have implemented digital marketing strategies. The analysis was conducted to identify patterns, challenges, and successes in implementing the strategy. The findings show that those who implement digital marketing strategies well tend to have a significant increase in their sales. Factors such as a good understanding of the target market, creativity in content, and the appropriate use of digital platforms have proven to be effective in increasing the visibility and appeal of products on their stores. This research provides valuable insights for business actors and other stakeholders about the importance of digital marketing strategies in increasing business competitiveness and growth in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the work time allocation of traditional weavers in Pringgasela Selatan Village, East Lombok Regency, as well as the factors that influence it, namely age, education, work experience, and number of family dependents. The village is known as a center of traditional Sasak weaving, passed down through generations and serving as a key source of income, particularly for women. The study employed a descriptive quantitative approach using survey questionnaires. A total of 77 respondents were selected purposively, specifically those with at least five years of weaving experience. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that the average weaving time allocation was 7.8 hours per day. Simultaneously, the variables of age, education, experience, and family dependents significantly influenced work time allocation (F significance value < 0.05). Partially, age and experience had significant negative effects, indicating that older and more experienced weavers tend to spend less time working due to efficiency or physical limitations. In contrast, the number of family dependents had a significant positive effect, indicating greater economic pressure to work. Education was found to have no significant effect. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 64.27%, indicating a good model fit. This study contributes theoretically to the literature on labor time allocation and practically provides insights for developing policies on women's empowerment and the preservation of traditional weaving crafts in local communities.

Abstract

The role of transformational leadership, organizational culture, and work motivation in improving employee productivity in manufacturing companies is discussed in this study. Companies face great challenges to maintain and improve their productivity in an era of globalization and intense competition. Employees get inspiration and motivation from transformational leadership, and a positive corporate culture encourages teamwork. To ensure that employees remain energized and dedicated, it is crucial to have high work motivation. The method used is a quantitative method involving data analysis using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM). With an R2 value of 0.953, the third variable has a positive and significant impact on employee productivity. The results show that in a competitive business environment, increasing productivity through developing better leadership, improving organizational culture, and increasing work motivation is essential.
