Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO 2015) has emphasized the urgency of male involvement during the perinatal period to support accessibility of services for women and promote positive participation of men in their roles as partners and fathers. The purpose of the study was to implement and evaluate Husband Involvement in Postpartum Care to prevent complications during postpartum. The design of this community service activity used the technique of providing material to the mother's partner, and pre- and post-tests were given to the mother's partner. The results of the study showed an increase in maternal knowledge about breast care in postpartum mothers with an average value of 87.78.

Abstract

Implementation in improving numeracy was carried out in class XI of Mining Geology Department through the campus teaching program at SMKN 4 Palangka Raya. Activities carried out to improve literacy included an introduction to the 13th UPR Student Mining Competition (USMC), polygon framework mapping and data processing of theodolite measurement results, manual processing of theodolite data and making simple topographic maps as well as a discussion of blasting techniques. The implementation method was carried out interactively through a participatory approach and direct mentoring such as class discussions, questions and answers and direct practice so that students as the target of the activity could be actively involved in the learning process. From this activity, it was shown that students could gain insight and knowledge related to numeracy in the field of mining geology so that students could understand and make topographic maps from the results of calculations and manual processing of theodolite data.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises play an important role in the rural economy, yet they still face challenges related to business visibility and consumer access. Many rural MSMEs have not adopted digital technology, which makes their businesses difficult to find and limits their transaction systems. This community service activity aimed to promote the digitalization of MSMEs in Lekis Rejo Village Block K through business location mapping on Google Maps, implementation of a QRIS based digital payment system, and the creation of business banners as visual promotional media. The implementation method used descriptive and participatory approaches by directly involving MSME actors at every stage of the activity. The activity procedures included initial observation, socialization, assistance in business mapping, QRIS implementation, banner creation, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The results showed that all partner MSMEs were registered on Google Maps, were able to use QRIS as a payment method, and had business banners as visual identities. The evaluation indicated an increase in MSME actors’ understanding of business digitalization and a more open attitude toward the use of technology. This activity had a positive impact on improving business visibility and consumer access, and it supported the sustainable strengthening of rural MSMEs.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has encouraged various sectors, including non-formal education, to utilize digital technology as a medium for improving services and strengthening institutional branding. According to APJII data in 2024, 79.5% of Indonesia's population has accessed the internet, making the use of websites as an information medium increasingly important for training and course institutions (LKP). LKP Berlian Education continues to face challenges in providing adequate digital facilities, including the absence of a website as a platform for publication and information services. This community service program aims to enhance the competencies of LKP participants in creating and managing websites as an effort to strengthen branding and deliver information quickly, accurately, and online. The implementation methods include technical guidance, training, mentoring, and forum group discussions. Evaluation was conducted through pretest and posttest using a nominal scale, as well as a service satisfaction questionnaire using a Likert scale. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ abilities to understand basic website concepts, use the WordPress CMS, and manage digital content. Overall, this community service activity has proven effective in improving the digital competencies of LKP Berlian Education participants, particularly in the creation and management of websites as a means of institutional branding and information services

Abstract

Hypercholesterolemia is a condition in which blood cholesterol levels exceed the normal range, representing a major public health concern. This condition is closely associated with cardiovascular diseases, which, according to the WHO (2018), are the leading cause of death worldwide. The increasing prevalence of high cholesterol in Indonesia is influenced by changes in diet and lifestyle. Medication adherence plays a crucial role in achieving therapeutic success and optimal health outcomes. This study aimed to determine the level of medication adherence among patients with hypercholesterolemia at Kota Selatan Public Health Center (Puskesmas). The study employed a quantitative descriptive design using a survey method. The population consisted of 61 patients, with 31 respondents selected as the sample. The instrument used was the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale-8 (MMAS-8), and the data were analyzed using univariate analysis. The results showed that the level of medication adherence among patients was moderate, with 17 respondents (54,83%) categorized as adherent and 14 respondents (45,17%) as non-adherent. The highest adherence was observed among patients aged 24-44 years (100%), males (75%), those with a diploma or bachelor's education (86%), and those undergoing treatment for less than one year (67%). Overall, the level of medication adherence among patients with hypercholesterolemia at Kota Selatan Public Health Center was classified as moderate. Increased education and patient support are recommended, particularly for older adults, women, and those with education levels, to enhance treatmentt success.

Abstract

Drug planning and procurement in hospitals are two essential stages in the pharmaceutical supply management system, aimed at ensuring the availability of medicines with the right type, the right quantity, timely delivery, and cost efficiency. This study is based on the importance of effective and efficient pharmaceutical logistics management in ensuring the availability of medicines that meet the healthcare service needs of hospitals. Suboptimal drug management can negatively affect hospitals both medically and economically. The purpose of this study was to describe the drug planning and procurement processes at Daya Regional General Hospital in Makassar City. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document review related to drug planning and procurement. The study sample consisted of the Head of the Pharmacy Installation, Warehouse Coordinator, and the Officers in charge of Inpatient and Outpatient services who are directly involved in the planning and procurement process. Data analysis was conducted descriptively by reviewing the results of interviews and field observations. The findings indicate that the drug planning process at Daya Regional General Hospital Makassar is carried out using a combination of consumption-based and epidemiological methods. The consumption method is based on analyzing drug needs, stock inflow and outflow, and average usage patterns, while the epidemiological method refers to disease case data from previous periods. Drug procurement is conducted through three systems: e-purchasing, direct purchasing, and tendering, with funding sourced from BLUD and APBN. The study concludes that drug planning and procurement at Daya Regional General Hospital Makassar have been implemented in accordance with applicable guidelines, although several operational challenges remain. Strengthening coordination among units, optimizing the e-purchasing system, and improving pharmaceutical logistics management are required to ensure better drug availability and enhance the quality of healthcare services.

Abstract

Nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems have been widely developed to enhance the solubility, stability, and bioavailability of hydrophobic bioactive compounds such as glabridin. Glabridin is a major flavonoid derived from Glycyrrhiza glabra with various pharmacological activities; however, its application is limited due to poor water solubility and susceptibility to degradation. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of Tween 80 concentration on the physicochemical characteristics of pullulan–glabridin polymeric nanoparticles prepared using the nanoprecipitation method. Pullulan was employed as a biodegradable and biocompatible polymer matrix, while Tween 80 was used as a non-ionic surfactant at concentrations of 0.4%, 0.6%, and 0.8%. The nanoparticles were freeze-dried and characterized for particle size, polydispersity index (PDI), zeta potential, entrapment efficiency (EE), drug loading (DL), and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) analysis. The results showed that increasing Tween 80 concentration significantly improved nanoparticle characteristics. Nanoparticles with sizes of 105–145 nm, lower PDI values, and enhanced colloidal stability were obtained. The highest EE (87.60%) and DL (8.76%) were achieved at 0.8% Tween 80. FTIR analysis confirmed the absence of chemical degradation or interaction, indicating stable nanoparticle formation.
