Abstract

This community service activity aims to assist Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institutions in implementing Islamic educational play methods that are oriented towards character building in children from an early age. The assistance is provided through teacher training, the development of Islamic play activity kits, and direct practice with children. The methods used include observation, training, workshops, intensive mentoring, and evaluation. The results of the activity show an increase in teachers' understanding of Islamic educational play methods, the development of play activity kits integrated with Islamic values, and increased child involvement in activities that foster religious attitudes, discipline, cooperation, and responsibility. This program makes a real contribution to PAUD institutions in building children's character in a fun and age-appropriate way

Abstract

Community service is an implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education which emphasizes the real contribution of academics in addressing the socio-religious needs of society. This activity was carried out through the regular Didikan Subuh program at the mosque in Tarai Bangun Village with the aim of instilling Islamic values, cultivating worship practices from an early age, and strengthening the role of the mosque as a center of non-formal education. The method used was a participatory method with a descriptive qualitative approach, with the subjects of the activity being elementary school children totaling 35–45 participants. The program was implemented throughout September 2024, involving lecturers, students, mosque administrators, and the local community. The activities included the habituation of performing congregational Subuh prayers, tadarus (Qur’an recitation), interactive sermons, memorization of short prayers and verses, the delivery of Islamic exemplary stories, and the practice of daily Islamic manners. The results of the program indicated an increase in children’s enthusiasm with consistent attendance levels. They became more disciplined in performing worship, accustomed to reciting daily prayers, and showed positive behavioral changes both at home and at school. This program also strengthened the role of the mosque as a center for Islamic character development and enhanced synergy between higher education institutions and the community. Although there were challenges such as inconsistent attendance of some participants and limited time for memorization, solutions in the form of small study groups and simple rewards were effective in increasing children’s motivation. Thus, this program proved to be effective in shaping a Qur’anic generation with noble character while also strengthening the harmonious relationship between lecturers, students, mosque administrators, and the community

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the competence of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers in developing digital-based Islamic edutainment learning media while fostering a spirit of edupreuneurship. The methods used included needs analysis, training, workshops, intensive mentoring, and participatory evaluation. The results of the activity showed that PAUD teachers were able to create digital Islamic learning media in the form of simple animated videos, digital interactive books, and Islamic audio-visual content that was engaging for children. Furthermore, the teachers understood strategies for packaging these products to have economic value as edupreuneurial products. This activity successfully increased digital literacy, creativity, and entrepreneurial awareness among PAUD teachers, thus supporting a more innovative and effective learning transformation

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide information on sharia marketing as a sustainable and ethical community empowerment strategy in Pekanbaru. The sharia approach to marketing emphasizes not only economic profit but also upholds moral values, justice, and social sustainability. Through participatory community service activities, this program involves micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Air Putih Village of Pekanbaru in developing product marketing strategies that comply with sharia principles. The results of the activity indicate that applying the principles of honesty, transparency, and social responsibility in product promotion and distribution can increase consumer trust, expand market networks, and encourage inclusive economic growth in the community. Furthermore, collaboration between academics, government, and the community plays a crucial role in creating a sustainable sharia marketing ecosystem. The study is expected to reinforce the urgency of integrating Islamic values into daily business practices as a solution for ethical and equitable economic development in urban areas like Pekanbaru

Abstract

Child marriage and domestic violence (KDRT) remain prevalent social issues in rural areas, including around Madrasah Aliyah Miftahul Hasanah, Gondosuli Village, often driven by low legal awareness and strong cultural pressure. Based on this condition, this community service program aimed to enhance legal literacy among Islamic high school students, enabling them to understand, identify, and prevent child marriage and domestic violence through a preventive educational approach. This program was conducted by observing the conditions of partners, interviewing various parties, and interacting directly with madrasah aliyah students. The results of this program showed a significant increase in students' understanding of the legal age for marriage and the forms of domestic violence. The indicators of the results of this activity are demonstrated through an increase in students' understanding of the minimum age for marriage, their ability to identify forms of violence, and the emergence of reflective awareness among students to communicate issues openly. In conclusion, preventive legal education proved effective in improving students’ legal awareness. This program recommends integrating basic legal topics into non-formal educational activities within the madrasah and strengthening collaboration between educational institutions and universities in protecting children and preventing community-based violence

Abstract

The Digital Intensive English Programme is designed to improve the English speaking skills of prospective PPL–KKN international participants through digital-based learning. This programme is conducted online for one month (17 July–15 August 2025) and involves 10 students from the PAI and PBA Study Programmes at STAI Masjid Syuhada Yogyakarta. The method used is Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), which is implemented in synchronous sessions for targeted oral communication practice. The main results show an improvement in students' speaking skills and confidence, with an average increase of 30% in fluency and pronunciation based on a comparison of pre-test and post-test results. In addition to linguistic achievements, this programme also strengthened digital literacy and reflective, collaborative, and adaptive attitudes in learning. These findings confirm the programme's contribution as an effective digital-based community service model to prepare students for international communication needs and support the internationalisation agenda of Islamic higher education institutions

Abstract

This article aims to describe the implementation and outcomes of a community service program designed to enhance the creativity and technological skills of pre-service teachers through training on the development of interactive e-books using Canva. The program was initiated in response to the limited ability of students to optimally utilize Canva’s interactive features for designing innovative and applicable digital learning media. The community service method employed was training and mentoring based on a hands-on practice approach. The program was conducted through three main stages: needs analysis, training implementation, and evaluation. The participants were fifth-semester students of Nurul Jadid University, Probolinggo. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and an assessment rubric for the e-book products. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques to examine participants’ responses and the quality of the developed e-books. The results indicate that the majority of participants provided positive responses to all aspects of the training. The program contributed to improvements in participants’ understanding of Canva, creativity in designing interactive e-books, and self-confidence in developing and utilizing digital learning media. It can be concluded that training on interactive e-book development using Canva is effective in improving the technological skills and creativity of pre-service teachers and in supporting their readiness to meet the demands of 21st-century education

Abstract

Accurate and sustainable data management is a critical requirement for Satuan Pendidikan Muadalah (SPM) in meeting national education reporting standards through the Education Management Information System (EMIS). In practice, limited digital literacy and technical competence among administrative staff often hinder effective EMIS implementation. This community service program aims to strengthen the administrative capacity of SPM Al-Mashduqiah Kraksaan through a structured and need-based EMIS training initiative. The program was implemented using a participatory empowerment approach, actively involving partners in problem identification, training implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to capture changes in staff competence and institutional readiness. The results demonstrate a substantial improvement in administrative staff skills, particularly in data entry accuracy, validation, and independent system management. In addition, the program produced an EMIS Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) as a sustainable institutional output. Overall, this initiative contributes to strengthening institutional capacity, improving digital data governance, and enhancing the readiness of Islamic educational institutions to support ongoing digital transformation policies

Abstract

Low reading literacy among primary school students, exacerbated by the dominance of digital entertainment, highlights the need for collaborative and sustainable literacy intervention models. This article aims to examine the effectiveness of a service-learning–based collaborative model in improving children’s literacy through a read-aloud program in primary education. Employing a qualitative case study design, the research was conducted at an Indonesian primary school through structured stages of literacy socialization, guided read-aloud activities, and a read-aloud competition involving teachers, parents, and community stakeholders. The findings indicate improvements in students’ reading motivation, read-aloud skills particularly intonation, articulation, and text comprehension and self-confidence, alongside strengthened stakeholder participation in the school literacy ecosystem. This study contributes by proposing a replicable service-learning–based collaborative literacy model that bridges school–community engagement and provides a practical framework for enhancing primary literacy development in similar educational contexts

Abstract

The training to be an inspirational and fun teacher for teachers in Kampar Village is behind many problems in schools that show the fullness of teaching and learning that occurs to teachers and students. The service is carried out using methods with planning, implementation, post-activity, and practice methods, Q&A and discussion, and Evaluation and Feedback stages. This service is intended for elementary, middle, and high school teachers in Kampar Village as many as 20 teachers. The results of this training activity show that there is a change in the knowledge of teachers with competencies that a teacher must have, which includes hard skills and soft skills. Judging from the comparison of the results of Preetest and Posttest, there is a change in teachers' knowledge about being inspiring and fun teachers. So that teachers are moved to evaluate themselves and improve their ability to become inspirational and fun teachers. Given that these activities such as training are essential to support teachers' duties in teaching, it is hoped that in the future there will be similar activities that will continue to be carried out periodically and continuously by parties involved in education management, such as the government and institutions or the Education Management Foundation
