Abstract

The purpose of this community service program is to improve teenagers' understanding of ethics in communicating through WhatsApp. The implementation method of this program includes three main stages, namely lectures, discussions, questions and answers, and practice. Through lectures, participants were given a strong understanding of the importance of ethics in communicating online and knowledge of the Electronic Information and Transaction Law relating to communication ethics. Discussion and Q&A sessions allowed participants to share their experiences and views, so that they could learn from each other. Hands-on practice allowed participants to implement their knowledge in real situations, so they could develop better communication skills. This program only involved 19 teenagers. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct follow-up activities involving more participants from various backgrounds to generalize the results of this activity. This program has significant practical implications, which can help create a more civilized online environment and avoid negative behaviors such as insinuating and blaspheming fellow social media users as well as increasing public awareness about the importance of ethics in communicating through social media.

Abstract

Understanding the application of zakat accounting principles in sharia economics in accordance with the provisions applicable in Indonesia is important for the younger generation. Consequently, it is imperative to comprehend the way the younger demographic engage with one another, to effectively address the incorporation of zakat empowerment. Community Service Activities (PkM) are carried out by first observing partners' initial difficulties, then the counseling method uses lecture techniques. It is hoped that through community involvement, the PkM initiative will enable young community groups to understand the importance of Zakat in the local economy and that BAZ/LAZ, local institutions, will be able to use it to help increase Zakat payments and distribute Zakat. more easily accessible, as an effort to improve the economy. Increasingly competitive market issues and rapid business changes throughout the world today require organizations to reconsider supply chain management (SCM) strategies because the same SCM strategy may not be suitable for all organizations. The success of a strategy in a particular business does not necessarily mean its success in other businesses. The result of this PkM Program is that participants form an attitude of understanding and realizing the role of Zakat accounting in supporting the economic function of SCM from an Islamic perspective.

Abstract

This study projected the action of political literacy and promoting the ability to discern hoaxes among first-time voters during the 2024 election by instituting an anti-hoax education initiative. The research employed a socialization approach employing interpersonal communication (AKP) techniques. One hundred students enrolled in semesters 1 to 4 at the Faculty of Education and Islamic Studies (FEBI) of Langsa State Islamic University (IAIN) constituted the participant pool, organized into 10 small groups. Each group featured a designated facilitator tasked with guiding discussions focused on the identification of hoaxes in electoral contexts. The instructional materials encompassed topics such as electoral processes, the democratic system, hoax detection strategies, and penalties for disseminating hoaxes. The study's outcomes revealed a favorable response from first-time voters and a noteworthy transformation in their comprehension of hoaxes. These conclusions were drawn from the evaluation outcomes and responses to both pre- and post-tests administered to all participants. The implications of these findings underscore the significance of anti-hoax education as an initial stride toward cultivating astute and critical first-time voters in the context of elections. This investigation contributes to the advancement of analogous educational models and the establishment of more robust election procedures in subsequent occurrences
