Abstract

Stunting is when a childs’ growth is permanently stunted. This condition is usually characterized by shorter heights than children of the same age. The Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) approach includes various positive health behaviors such as personal hygiene, environmental sanitation, and healthy eating. Implementing PHBS can start in early childhood schools. Implementation at the PAUD level is very important in stunting prevention efforts. PAUD is the initial phase of children's formal education, where they begin to learn many things, including about health and hygiene. Methods for the implementation of this service activity: (1) preparation and planning; (2) training and education (3) Demonstration and Practice: (4) Reporting and Dissemination. The results of this service are increased knowledge and practice of PHBS through watching educational videos, practicing how to wash hands with soap properly and correctly, and preventing stunting through the introduction of local-based processed foods and group photos. The conclusion is that clean and healthy living education is very important to prevent stunting, especially in educational institutions such as PAUD Ar-Rizki Gampong Suak Puntong. Unhealthy lifestyles often cause stunting, or stunted physical growth, in children.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is a trait that can be cultivated through social roles and experiences, reflecting the inherent entrepreneurial characteristics in individuals and fosters innovation. In Indonesia, vocational education aims to develop skilled human resources at the secondary education level (UU No. 20 of 2003). Vocational schools (SMK) are intended to produce productive, creative, and independent individuals who can efficiently utilize available resources. Aceh Barat Regency ranks tenth out of 23 regencies in Aceh Province in educational success, measured by the Human Development Index (HDI). Despite this, poverty remains above 20%. SMKs can potentially increase HDI and reduce poverty by equipping students with specific skills. The creative outputs of SMK students can form the basis of small industries in West Aceh. Therefore, it is crucial to motivate and invest in vocational education to foster young entrepreneurs. To become entrepreneurs, students need to understand business language, particularly accounting. Vocational education should integrate basic business skills such as accounting, especially in engineering fields, to prepare students for entrepreneurship. This community service activity was conducted at SMK Negeri 2 majoring Engineering and Technology Meulaboh. The activities help students understand entrepreneurship and the importance of accounting as the language of business, equipping them to start businesses based on their school projects. The results indicated that students understood the relationship between accounting and entrepreneurship. The collaboration between the school, lecturers, and students created potential for sustainable activities to prepare future entrepreneurs. Continuous investment in vocational education is essential for developing entrepreneurial skills and reducing poverty in Kabupaten Aceh Barat.

The results demonstrate that students developed a greater enthusiasm for reading and improved their ability to retell stories they had read. Furthermore, the program significantly contributed to building students’ confidence to speak in public. This activity not only raised awareness of the importance of literacy from an early age but also equipped teachers with strategies to support students struggling with reading comprehension. The program successfully engaged students and promoted a culture of reading in the community. It is recommended that similar literacy programs be sustained and further developed to instill lifelong reading habits. Teachers and parents should continue to play a collaborative role in encouraging literacy, ensuring the continuous growth of students' intellectual and social development.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the economic potential of Pulo Aceh residents by developing processed starfruit (belimbing wuluh) products. Gampong Paloh, Pulo Breuh Subdistrict, is rich in natural resources, including an abundance of starfruit. However, the community's use of starfruit has been limited to producing sunti acid for personal kitchen use, without leveraging its market potential. To address this, the program targeted housewives in fishermen groups, providing training on processing starfruit into dodol, syrup, sunti acid, and jam. The program employed methods such as interviews, outreach, training sessions, discussions, and hands-on mentoring to ensure practical skill development. The outcomes include: (a) increased understanding of entrepreneurship and its role in improving family economies, (b) improved ability to process natural resources into high-quality, marketable products, (c) enhanced skills in producing starfruit-based products such as dodol, jam, and syrup, and (d) better knowledge of packaging, labeling, and simple financial management to create a product identity. The program succeeded in empowering participants with entrepreneurial and processing skills, contributing to economic improvement. Future initiatives should focus on online sales training, establishing a robust e-commerce community, and expanding product diversification to include marine resources, such as tuna and other seafood, to further boost the local economy.

Abstract

PT. Cisarua Mountain Dairy (Cimory), a producer of premium food and dairy products in Indonesia, was established in 2005. This article emphasizes the importance of brand protection education as a marketing strategy for Cimory. This protection is regulated by Law No. 20 of 2016 concerning Trademarks and Geographical Indications, which covers registration, exclusive rights, and law enforcement. Trademark registration provides exclusive rights and prevents unauthorized use. The research method involved a direct visit to Cimory Dairy Land On The Valley in Semarang, where the author gathered information about brand identification, production processes, and trademark protection. The research results indicate that brand protection education is crucial for maintaining brand reputation and integrity, as well as reducing the risk of infringement. Companies like Cimory can be more effective in protecting their intellectual assets, preventing unauthorized use, and maintaining consumer trust. Steps such as trademark registration and internal education are key to marketing strategies aimed at strengthening brand positioning in the market and preventing potential infringements that could harm the company.

Abstract

Effective data management is essential for policymakers, particularly in Torongrejo Village, where data collected from citizens is processed to assess village potential and inform decision-making. Currently, the data management practices in Torongrejo Village remain primarily manual and have not fully embraced available data processing technologies. An initial survey revealed that many village operators require guidance in utilizing these technologies for efficient data management. This service activity aims to address this gap by providing training and support to empower the village apparatus in managing technology-based data, ultimately striving towards a self-sufficient data management system. Implementing this initiative involves several stages: identifying initial problems, socializing the activity, planning, executing the training, and monitoring the outcomes. The training's effectiveness was evaluated through questionnaires assessing participants' understanding of technology-based data management. The results indicate a significant improvement in the village apparatus's comprehension of data management techniques before and after the training, highlighting the importance of technological integration in enhancing local governance.
