Abstract

Disaster management is a critical component of national development, particularly in the aftermath of natural disasters. The relocation process of liquefaction disaster survivors in Petobo, located in South Palu, Central Sulawesi, underscores the pivotal role of the government in safeguarding Indonesian citizens' rights, including providing adequate housing within a healthy and secure environment. This research was conducted in the wake of the disaster with the primary objective of evaluating the legal protection and human rights afforded to survivors residing in Petobo Village, which has been designated as a red zone due to the severity of the disaster. The study uncovered significant damage to infrastructure, loss of life, and ecosystem degradation as direct consequences of the disaster. These findings underscore the government's obligation to provide permanent housing (hence HUNTAP) to fulfill the basic needs of survivors. Providing decent housing is fundamental to ensuring the well-being and dignity of every citizen affected by the disaster. Moreover, it aligns with the core principles of citizenship and human rights, which are essential for fostering sustainable and harmonious communities, particularly in regions grappling with the aftermath of natural calamities. Shortly, the relocation of liquefaction disaster survivors in Petobo, South Palu, Central Sulawesi, highlights the government's pivotal role in safeguarding its citizens' rights, especially in times of crisis. By prioritizing permanent housing and ensuring a healthy and secure environment for survivors, the government demonstrates its commitment to upholding human rights and fostering resilient communities in disaster-affected areas.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the construction of political literacy in the learning of Pancasila and civics through the development of students' political consciousness in Pasundan 2 Senior High School Cimahi City. This study is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The method of identifying the research topic uses a focus, and the data collection method uses interviews, documents, and observation. The data validity check method uses source triangulation. Then, the data analysis method using Miles and Huberman's model includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research methodology is qualitative, using a case study methodology. Based on several research findings, citizenship education as a means of legal and political education aimed at students' legal acquisition is still not functioning optimally. The findings indicate that civic education is being implemented within the school curriculum through various activities and assignments such as tours, interviews with local leaders, election coverage activities, OSIS election activities, and school activities. The results indicate that the implementation of civic education through Pancasila learning and civic education involves the development of learning materials and the use of learning models. Civic education for beginners in learning and curriculum. Factors that support or hinder the implementation of civic education include the implementation of the national curriculum, subject teachers, extracurricular activities, availability of facilities and infrastructure, etc.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a hybrid reflective micro-teaching model. The research method used is a type of research and development referring to the Borg and Gall R&D Cycle. The research results from reflection sheets indicate that some students could perceive the teaching for themselves. This is evidenced by the correspondence between friend's assessments and the results of their reflections. However, some students seemed less attuned to what was being taught. Peer observations and reflection on students' learning indicate a promising potential for improvement in students' self-assessment. For instance, some students reflected "good" in planning and implementing materials but couldn't demonstrate their abilities accordingly. Limited trials of the Reflective Microteaching model indicate a tendency for students to respond positively to the model. Observations using various instruments also show an inclination toward better understanding and increased awareness of learning planning and implementation. Nonetheless, there are still discrepancies between reflection results and friends' observations.

Abstract

During the pandemic, learning policies have transformed face-to-face to online-based learning. Technology and information play a crucial role in learning infrastructure, sources of teaching materials, tools, learning facilities, and learning media. The activeness of parents in accompanying children dramatically influences the effectiveness of learning activities, which ultimately contributes to maximum results. This research explored the characteristics of parental assistance and the problems that arose in online learning of Citizenship Education subjects in Jaya Mekar Padalarang Village. The results show that the home learning policy is considered burdensome by parents. Some reasons include difficulty managing time between working and guiding children, lack of adequate communication facilities, difficulty understanding lesson material, and inability to use technological devices. In this context, finding solutions or strategies that can help parents overcome these challenges is important. However, it's crucial to stress that with the right support and training, parents can significantly improve their support for their children's online learning. This effort can increase parents' active participation in supporting their children's online learning and inspire a positive change in the online education landscape.

Abstract

This research aims to identify ethical-philosophical issues arising from AI technology's presence in the academic world and identify the impact of AI's presence in the academic world on humanity's future as global citizens. This research is important to carry out because of the widespread use of artificial intelligence technology in education, which indirectly exacerbates the problems faced by humans as global citizens. This research serves as a model for investigating philosophical issues within the field. This type of research is often referred to as library research. The research process consists of three stages: data collection, data classification, and data analysis. The methodical elements used are description, language analysis, analytics, synthetics, and interpretation. The research results show: 1) The main ethical and philosophical problems that arise from AI's presence in the academic world are the crisis of human autonomy, the crisis of academic honesty, and the crisis of responsibility. 2) The presence of AI in the academic world impacts the future of humans as global citizens by causing a crisis of academic honesty. This crisis has the potential to escalate into a more serious issue, specifically an academic identity crisis, as the use of artificial intelligence becomes more commonplace in almost all aspects of human life. The presence of AI in the academic realm, particularly in relation to humanity's future as global citizens, intensifies the issue of identity crises.

Abstract

This research's objectives are to 1) develop a storybook with a picture (comic) as a learning media for Pancasila and Civic Education (PCE) and 2) to evaluate its effectiveness in improving the learning results of grade V elementary school students in learning the values of Pancasila. This is research and development by implementing the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research's subjects are 27 students of V (A), 28 students of V (B) and eight students of V (C) as experiment, control, and limited test classes, respectively. The result of the development found that the product, a book with pictures, is suitable for learning after being evaluated by a media expert and a material expert with evaluations of 99 and 71, respectively. The effectivity evaluation was conducted using a t-test on the experiment and control classes with sig. value of 0.000<0.005. The post-test results from the experiment and control classes are 70.64 and 60.93, respectively, which shows that the experiment class had higher mean results than the control class. The research concluded that the storybook with pictures is effective and suitable for enhancing the students' learning achievement.

Abstract

This research aimed to delineate the strategies for fostering tolerance among students through multicultural education at Sanggar Anak Alam Nitiprayan in Yogyakarta. Employing a qualitative methodology with a case study approach, the investigation was conducted within the premises of Sanggar Anak Alam Nitiprayan located in Bantul, Yogyakarta. Data gathering methods encompassed interviews, observations, and documentation, with subjects selected purposively. Triangulation was utilised to ensure data validity. Analysis followed the qualitative data analysis technique advocated by Miles & Huberman, involving stages of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The study yielded two principal findings: firstly, the integration of tolerance values into the school curriculum through multicultural education, and secondly, the cultivation of tolerance within classrooms via daily encounters, class agreements, communal prayer, and storytelling activities. Identified obstacles included diverse student potentials, varying parental attitudes, parental indoctrination conflicting with the SALAM curriculum, student non-compliance with agreements, facilitators adopting a lecturing rather than a facilitating role, and difficulties transferring students from formal educational backgrounds faced in adapting to the new environment.

Abstract

This research explains how the dimensions of critical thinking develop and are consistent in students by learning directly in a project-based contextual manner through small research that they choose. The research method used is descriptive analysis to analyse the dimensions of students' critical thinking abilities using a quasi-experimental design (a one-group post-test only design). Data was collected by involving active, even semester students taking general compulsory courses in Civic Education, totalling forty students with project model learning. Through small research-based learning or the project citizen model, critical thinking skills will be developed at four levels of critical thinking achievements. Four levels of critical thinking were made into fourteen questions. When the questionnaire has passed the validation process stage, which is prepared using a standard critical thinking ability scheme related to environmental awareness, the questionnaire is also adapted to respondents who have received project citizen model learning. The research findings on students' critical thinking ability towards awareness of environmental issues are included in the high category. Thus, this research shows the success of Civic Education courses in realising a sense of civic responsibility and civic awareness. Then, the results of this research give birth to citizens who can touch on environmental issues; this is the basis for the learning objectives of Civic Education, which is to educate citizens to understand their nation and country.
