Abstract

Engaging in organizational activities fosters individual growth; nonetheless, active participation necessitates individuals to invest their time, energy, cognitive effort, perseverance, and motivation. This correlational study aims to examine the relationship between self-esteem and academic resilience among student council functionaries in vocational high schools in Salatiga. By employing the quota sampling technique, a total of 143  student councils functionaries from six vocational high schools were recruited as participants Data were collected using the Self-esteem Inventory and the Academic Resilience Scale (ARS-30) and analyzed utilizing the Pearson Product Moment correlation coefficient.   The result demonstrated a positive, significant relationship between self-esteem and academic resilience (r = 0.363 α= 0.000). In other words, self-esteem emerges as a contributing factor to increased academic resilience among student council functionaries in vocational high schools in Salatiga. It is necessary for the schools to provide a problem-solving-based program to improve the self-esteem of students engaging in student council activities. Having a higher level of self-esteem, students will likely possess higher academic resilience.

Abstract

In Indonesia, students and teachers often engage in disciplinary behaviour. Discipline is the only educational characteristic that needs to be emphasized in schools. Most students have not shown good disciplinary character, where students are not on time to enter class during study hours, like to skip class during learning, and do not do assignments so the character of poor student discipline becomes a habit. This study aims to determine the role of the guidance and counselling teacher in the formation of the disciplinary character of students at MTS Al Washliyah. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative which examines the role of guidance and counseling teachers in the formation of students' disciplinary character. The data were collected through interviews, document analysis, focused discussions, and observations as outlined in field notes. The results of this study indicate that the role of the guidance and counselling teacher in the formation of the disciplinary character of students is going quite well. Guidance and counselling teachers collaborate with student representatives, homeroom teachers, and parents to solve the problems of students who lack discipline. Students who lack discipline are given individual counselling services and guidance and counselling teachers also make visits to students' homes to find out the factors causing these students to lack discipline and to discuss student problems at school with students' parents. The findings of this study are the role of guidance and counselling teachers in shaping the disciplinary character of students in MTS Al Washliyah.

This study uses a quantitative research design with quasi-experiments. To collect respondents used a purposive sampling method to obtain 30 students from all students of class XI. The instrument used in this study is the cyberbullying scale. The results of the study show that it is concluded that Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) can reduce cyberbullying behaviour, the approach used uses a more positive perspective on the counselee so that the counselee is treated as a "player" who actively determines the desired direction of change rather than a "patient" who must be handled.

Abstract

Strengthening the Pancasila student profile is the latest issue in the world of education in Indonesia. All projects and learning methods used aim to shape the character of Pancasila students. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group guidance using the traditional bilu-bilu game to strengthen the profile of students of Pancasila at SD N 60 Kota Timur. This research is a single case experimental design study with A-B design and involves four respondents using a random sampling method. The instruments used in this study were the Pancasila student profile scale and observation guidelines. The analysis technique used is clinical and statistical analysis. The results showed that there was a significant increase in the profile of Pancasila students through traditional bilu-bilulu games at baseline A1, intervention, and baseline A2. Schools can adapt classic games in guidance and counselling services or in the learning process to strengthen the Pancasila student profile. This study combines group guidance stages with traditional games, allowing students to gain meaningful experiences in each guidance session. The results of this study can be used as a reference for schools to develop group guidance service programs using local wisdom.
