Abstract

This research focuses on the implementation of ISMUBA (Islam, Muhammadiyah, and Arabic) learning at Darul Arqam Muhammadiyah Gombara Islamic Boarding School, Makassar, and its impact on improving the practice of progressive Islamic treatises. ISMUBA is a typical Muhammadiyah curriculum that integrates progressive Islamic values with mastery of Arabic, aiming to produce a young generation of faith, piety, and noble character. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with phenomenological, theological, and pedagogical approaches. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the implementation of ISMUBA in the classroom involves structured learning and the use of diverse teaching methods, such as demonstrations of worship practices, role-play in Arabic, and Qur'an interpretation sessions. Learning outside the classroom includes visits to places of worship, Islamic social studies, and daily Arabic language practice. This study found that the implementation of ISMUBA at Darul Arqam Muhammadiyah Gombara Islamic Boarding School is effective in improving the practice of progressive Islamic treatises among students. This is shown through increased worship discipline, a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings, and better Arabic language skills. Challenges faced include limited resources and coordination, but can be overcome by increasing the number of qualified teachers and providing adequate learning facilities. The results of this study are expected to make a positive contribution to the development of learning models that are more effective and relevant to the needs of santri in this modern era.

Abstract

Education should be a tool to respect human dignity, prepare individuals to be able to live in this world and interact with others, education cannot be understood in one single interpretation. Therefore, Islamic education has an important role in supporting or even threatening plurality, ethnic, religious and cultural diversity in Indonesia. Pluralistic epistemology is a view that emphasizes the value of tolerance towards differences and diversity. Pluralistic epistemology assumes that there is no one approach that can explain everything, and there is no single source of truth that can be used as a benchmark. Pluralistic epistemology emphasizes the importance of accepting and respecting the differences and diversity of perspectives that exist in society. This research is a study of the epistemology of Islamic education which aims to discuss tolerance from a pluralistic epistemological perspective. This research was carried out with a descriptive approach through a literature review or theoretical study by studying journals or books related to the epistemology of Islamic education, while data analysis was carried out using the content analysis method. The results of this research show that tolerance in a pluralistic epistemological perspective emphasizes the importance of respecting diversity of views and different ways of understanding truth. According to the pluralistic epistemological approach, there are various methods for obtaining truth and knowledge. In this context, tolerance does not only mean respecting differences, but also openness to listening, understanding and respecting various existing views, whether in the realm of religion, culture or belief. In education, the application of pluralistic epistemology has a significant impact on the development of inclusive attitudes, mutual respect and a deep understanding of diversity. With this approach, Islamic religious education, for example, can become more open and less dogmatic, providing space for students to develop a broader understanding of various religious and cultural perspectives. This also contributes to the creation of a more tolerant, harmonious society, and is able to reduce potential social conflicts originating from differences in beliefs and traditions. However, it is important to remember that although pluralistic epistemology values multiple perspectives, the non-negotiable basic principles of religion must still be maintained.

Abstract

Creating students who have good character is the main goal of national education, and one effort to create this goal is by implementing character education programs in schools. In this case, the school principal as a leader has an important role in taking policies to implement character education programs in schools. The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of school policies in realizing character education at SMA Negeri 1 Kuta Baro Aceh Besar. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data was collected using observation, documentation and interview methods. Next, the data was analyzed through stages of data reduction and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the implementation of school policies in realizing character education at SMA Negeri 1 Kuta Baro Aceh Besar was carried out by involving multi-stakeholders, including teachers, school committees, students and parents. Some of the character education programs implemented at SMA Negeri 1 Kuta Baro Aceh Besar are complete reading of the Al-Qur'an, zhuha prayer activities every morning, congregational zhuhur prayers, Islamic studies, yellow book meudrah, tahsin/tahfiz of the Al-Qur'an , reading Yasin and reading zikr regularly every Friday. The implementation of the character education program at SMA Negeri 1 Kuta Baro is the school's effort to realize Islamic culture in students' daily lives. The program is designed and implemented to support the formation of students' character. The implementation of the character education program as a school culture at SMA Negeri 1 Kuta Baro involves all elements of the school, including teachers and education staff, who play an active role in monitoring and evaluating its implementation.

Abstract

Internalisasi Nilai-Nilai Pendidikan Islam Berbasis Toleransi Antar Siswa di SMP Muhammadiyah 11 Tello Baru Makassar. Dibimbing oleh Rusli Malli dan Abdul Azis Muslimin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Untuk mengetahui internalisasi nilai-nilai Pendidikan Islam di SMP Muhammadiyah 11 Tello Baru Makassar, (2) Untuk mengetahui proses Internalisasi nilai-nilai Pendidikan Islam berbasis toleransi antar siswa di SMP Muhammadiyah 11 Tello Baru Makassar, (3) Untuk mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam menginternalisasikan nilai- nilai Pendidikan islam berbasis toleransi antar siswa di SMP Muhammadiyah 11 Tello Baru Makassar.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian adalah Kepala Sekolah, Guru PAI, dan siswa non muslim Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pedoman observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.Penelitian ini menghasilkan bahwa: 1) Internalisasi nilai-nilai Pendidikan islam yang di tanamkan kepada peserta didik di SMPN Muhammadiyah 11 Tello Baru Makassar, yaitu nilai akidah, nilai syariah, dan nilai akhlak. Pada nilai akidah yang ditanamkan di SMP Muhammadiyah 11 Tello Baru nilai akidah yang meliputi pengajaran secara lisan dan pengajaran melalui perilaku. Pada nilai syariah yang di utamakan yaitu kegiatan keagamaan yang bersumber dari Alquran dan nilai akhlak yang ditanamkan, yaitu melalui kegiatan pembiasaan yang disesuaikan dengan ajaran islam. 2) Proses Internalisasi Nilai-Nilai Pendidikan Islam Berbasis Toleransi Antar siswa di SMP Muhammadiyah 11 Tello Baru Makassar, berlangsung dari dua aspek yaitu aspek komponen Internalisasi yang terbagi menjadi tiga komponen yaitu: Peserta didik, Guru PAI, Kepala Sekolah. Aspek proses internalisasi yang terbagi menjadi dua proses yaitu: Proses Kognitif dan Proses Afektif 3) Adapun faktor- faktor yang menghambat dan mendukung internalisasi nilai- nilai pendidikan agama islam berbasis toleransi antar umat beragama di SMP Muhammadiyah 11 Tello Baru adalah Faktor Pendukung yang meliputi kemampuan pendidik dalam menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai pendidikan islam berbasis toleransi antar umat beragama yang baik, kebijakan sekolah yang toleran, dan kesadaran siswa yang tinggi mengenai toleransi dan Faktor penghambat meliputi : pengaruh media sosial yang provokatif sehingga menimbulkan sikap fanatisme yang berlebihan dan pengaruh lingkungan luar yang negatif.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengeksplorasi perbedaan pandangan tentang upah guru di lembaga pendidikan Islam (dayah) dan sekolah. Sementara dayah mengutamakan komitmen, tanggung jawab, dan dedikasi tanpa pamrih, sekolah mengakui perlunya gaji/upah guru. Artikel ini membahas dasar  perbedaan penerapan gaji/upah guru di lembaga madrasah dan dayah dengan menganalisis pandangan para filsuf Muslim. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik penelitian pustaka, memanfaatkan buku, artikel, dan sumber lain untuk pengumpulan data. Analisis data melibatkan perbandingan landasan berpikir tentang upah guru di dayah dan sekolah, beserta perspektif para ulama seperti Al-Ghazali, Al-Zarnuji, Ibn Jama’ah dan Ibn Sahnun. Temuan mengungkapkan sudut pandang yang beragam tentang upah guru, dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor seperti jenis ilmu yang diajarkan dan sumber finansial. Pengaruh Al-Ghazali pada dayah dan peran pemerintah di sekolah berkontribusi pada perbedaan perspektif. Pada akhirnya, penelitian ini menyoroti misi dan tujuan yang berbeda antara dayah dan sekolah, dengan yang pertama memprioritaskan kesalehan dan yang terakhir menekankan pengetahuan dan keterampilan, yang mengarah pada variasi dalam komponen pendidikan mereka, termasuk upah guru.

Abstract

Pursuing higher education is a multifaceted decision influenced by financial, social, and psychological factors. This study examines the interest of students at the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, Ar-Raniry State Islamic University, in pursuing postgraduate education amid an economic recession. It focuses on a sample of 70 fourth-year undergraduate students. Using a quantitative descriptive research design, the data were collected through a structured questionnaire consisting of 10 yes/no questions and 10 Likert scale questions, which were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results show that 77.1% of the respondents acknowledged that the economic recession influenced their educational choices, while 87.1% believed that obtaining a higher degree would improve their career prospects. Financial constraints were a major concern, with 55.7% reporting a decrease in their family's ability to pay for education, yet 82.9% reported relying on scholarships or financial aid as a critical factor in their decision-making process. Despite the economic challenges, 90% of students remained optimistic about overcoming financial barriers, driven by both intrinsic (51.4% motivated by personal and professional growth) and extrinsic (94% recognizing career benefits) motivations. Social and academic support also played a critical role, with 92.9% influenced by mentorship and 97.1% by encouragement from family and friends. Concerns about educational quality persisted, however, as 87.1% of students perceived the recession as hurting higher education institutions. These findings underscore the need for higher education institutions and policymakers to expand financial aid programs, improve academic mentoring, and align educational curricula with the demands of the broader labor market to ensure equitable access to higher education during times of economic instability.

Abstract

Quality education is highly dependent on the teaching strategies used by teachers to improve student learning outcomes. Role-playing is one approach to increase student engagement in learning. The purpose of this study was to see how the role-playing method affects student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education subjects at SMP Negeri 2 Tapaktuan, South Aceh. This study used quantitative techniques using a pre-test, post-test, control experimental design. This study involved two groups: the experimental group used the role-playing method, and the control group used the usual method. To assess student understanding, the research instrument was a written test with multiple choices and fill-in-the-blank questions. Data collection strategies included giving pre-tests and post-tests to both groups before and after the learning process. The data obtained were analyzed using a t-test for two independent samples. The results showed a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group. The average post-test score of the experimental group was 80.30, while the control group was 72.3, with a t value (2.59) greater than the t table (2.02), indicating that the role-playing approach was more effective in improving student learning outcomes compared to the lecture method. Thus, this study reveals that the use of role-playing strategies can improve students' learning outcomes, especially in terms of social skills and problem solving.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pembinaan ubudiyah dalam pembentukan religiusitas santri di Dayah Modern Darul Ulum Banda Aceh. Pokok permasalahan yang diangkat adalah bagaimana proses pembinaan ubudiyah dilakukan di dayah tersebut, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat terhadap pembinaan ubudiyah dalam pembentukan religiusitas santri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan metode pembinaan ubudiyah yang diterapkan di Dayah Modern Darul Ulum dan menemukan faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambat dalam pembentukan karakter religius para santri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskripsi, dimana pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi terkait kegiatan pembinaan di dayah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembinaan ubudiyah yang dilakukan di Dayah Modern Darul Ulum meliputi kegiatan ritual seperti shalat berjamaah, Membaca AL-Qur’an, Wirid zikir dan do’a, program renungan malam atau muhasabah serta pembelajaran akhlak. Pembinaan tersebut memiliki pengaruh signifikan dalam membentuk religiusitas santri, yang tercermin dari peningkatan kesadaran ibadah, pengetahuan agama, dan perilaku sehari-hari yang lebih islami. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pembinaan ubudiyah di Dayah Modern Darul Ulum Banda Aceh menunjukkan hasil yang positif dalam pembentukan religiusitas santri. Namun, untuk mencapai hasil yang lebih optimal, diperlukan upaya untuk mengatasi faktor penghambat, seperti membangun kesadaran santri terhadap ibadah, adanya komunikasi dengan wali santri, dan memberikan perhatian lebih pada dampak teknologi dan lingkungan sosial di luar dayah. Dengan demikian, pembinaan ubudiyah dapat berjalan lebih efektif dan menghasilkan santri yang tidak hanya cakap dalam beribadah, tetapi juga memiliki karakter Islami yang kuat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Abstract

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi pelajaran pendidikan agama Islam di Pesantren Asy-Syuhada Cirebon. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini termasuk dalam pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan juga studi dokumentasi. Pengolahan data dilakukan melelui beberapa tahapan. Tahapan pertama adalah pengumpulan data kemudian dilanjutkan dengan tahap kedua berupa reduksi data. Setelah itu dilanjutkan kepada penyajian data dan tahapan terakhir adalah penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan penelitian ini maka ditemukan beberapa hasil penelitian. Pesantren Asy-Syuhada adalah lembaga pendidikan Islam yang berada dibawah naungan KEMENAG. Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam telah diterapkan pada lembaga pendidikan tersebut. Santri di Pesantren Asy-Syuhada Cirebon adalah anak yang sedang dalam usia pelajar SMP. Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam pada Pesantren Asy-Syuhada dilakukan melalui pengajaran terjadwal dengan pembahasan kitab kuning yang dilaksanakan di luar jam pelajaran sekolah. Pembelajaran masih banyak menekankan pada aspek pengetahuan atau kognitif, sedangkan aspek afektif dan psikomotorik masih belum terlalu nampak. Penilaian maupun evaluasi pembelajaran pada aspek afektif dan psikomotor masih perlu untuk ditingkatkan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang distorsi gerakan radikalisme yang menyasar pesantren. Pesantren sering kali diberi kesan sebagai lembaga yang mencetak kader-kader radikal. Hal tersebut merupakan konsekuensi dari peristiwa pengeboman yang terjadi di WTC Amerika Serikat dan Bom Bali. Pesantren di Indonesia dalam memberikan pengajaran kepada santri sangat bertolak belakang dengan nilai-nilai radikalisme yang diasumsikan oleh orang Barat terhadap dunia Islam. Berangkat dari permasalahan di atas, penulis tertarik untuk melakukan kajian mendalam tentang anatomi gerakan radikalisme Islam di pesantren. Untuk mengupas hal tersebut, penulis menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan library research untuk mengumpulkan data yang selaras dengan tema yang sedang penulis kaji. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman pesantren sebagai sarang radikalisme merupakan sebuah distorsi. Dalam perdebatannya, pesantren mengajarkan nilai-nilai Rohmatan lil alamin yang dalam hal ini sangat bertolak belakang dengan ajaran radikalisme.
