Abstract

Poverty is an issue that is important and fundamental to always be solved by every country in the world. Poverty causes a one not to meet his own basic needs and their families that encompasses physical, mental and social needs. To solve this problem the government is attempting to find solutions in various ways, one of which is through a social assistance (Bansos), a surgical program, managed by the Local Government. The aims of this study were 1) to analyze the perceptions of beneficiaries of house surgeon about the existence of this program, 2) to know whether there is an increase in the quality of the house of the poor community before and after receiving assistance of surgical program, 3) to determine what constraints faced by the Government in the implementation of surgical programs, 4) to determine the efforts made to overcome the shortcomings encountered in the surgical program in Buleleng. The data used were primary data and secondary data. Data collection methods used were observation, questionnaires, and in-depth interviews. The tool analysis used was descriptive and nonparametric statistical analysis using average paired difference test (Wilcoxon test). The results obtained were 1) the perception of poor beneficiaries of the existence of the house most of the surgical program provides a positive statement (Agree and Strongly Agree), the rest gave a statement neutral, and negative statements (Strongly Disagree and Disagree). 2) The Ho is rejected. This means that there is an increase in the quality of the house of the poor community after receiving surgical assistance. 3) The constraints faced in the implementation of the surgical program are verification, exploration, socialization, and development. 4) Efforts being made to overcome the disadvantages faced by the government in the implementation of the program are to prepare a consultant surgical assistant, handing the main actors in the home surgery program to the village community, and there is a need to develop standard conditions of prospective beneficiaries.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh stres kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja dan komitmen organisasional karyawan. Responden penelitian adalah 66 orang karyawan. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dan digunakan teknik Partial Least Square (PLS) untuk menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan stres kerja berpengaruh negatif terhadap komitmen organisasional dan kepuasan kerja selanjutnya kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap komitmen organisasional.

Abstract

In the context of audit, dysfunctional behavior is considered to be deviant behavior conducted by auditor in the process of audit. Dysfunctional behavior should be avoided by auditor since it affects the reliability of report which can consequently be detrimental to public interest. The tendency of dysfunctional behavior can be reduced by identifing some causal factors arising from the internal side of auditor. This research investigates the influence of Machiavellianism and type of personality on the dysfunctional behavior of auditor. In this study, data were collected through questionnaire. The population constitutes auditors who work on public account firms in Bali with total sample of 72 auditors obtained by saturated sampling methods. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regressions technique. The validity, reliability, and classical assumption test has been conducted prior to examining the hypothesis. The results of this study show that Machiavellianism and type of personality have significant effects on auditor dysfunctional behavior. Auditor with high Machiavellian values and type ‘A’ personality will tend to engage in dysfunctional behavior.

Abstract

Along with the development of globalization and competition in economy, the economic potential possessed by Sukawati Art Market as a prime tourism shopping spot for tourists gradually slows down, this is due to the development of modern souvenir markets selling similar handmade products as those offered in Sukawati Art Market. Other factors predicted to cause the declining of trend of traders’ revenue are internal factors such as venture capitals used that are mostly the equity capital, varies length of business and uncertain working hours. While external factors, namely, difference of strategic and non strategic business location and inadequate parking facilities are the other important factors affecting the traders’ income of Sukawati Art Market. The aims of this study are: 1) to analyze the effects of venture capital, length of business, working hours, parking and business locations simultaneously to traders’ income of Sukawati Art Market, 2) to analyze the effects of venture capital, length of business, working hours, parking and business location partially to traders’ income of Sukawati Art Market 3), to determine the dominant factors causing trend of traders’ income declining of Sukawati Art Market. The samples used were amounting of 89 respondents from traders of Sukawati Art Market. The results of simultaneous analysis showed that the variable venture capital, length of business, working hours, parking and business location significantly affect the traders’ income of Sukawati Art Market. For the result of partial analysis, the venture capital, length of business, and business location had positive effects on the traders’ income of Sukawati Art Market while variable of working hours and parking partially had negative effect to the traders’ revenue of Sukawati Art Market. Venture capital is the dominant variable affecting traders’ income; therefore, the variable of venture capital has an important role in the efforts to improve the income of traders. Traders expect loan or non collateral credit to improve their business.
