Abstract

This study analyzes the relationship between discipline and work motivation and teacher performance, both individually and simultaneously, in the context of elementary education. Methods a quantitative correlational associative design was used. All 30 teachers at public elementary school 3 Negara Ratu, South Lampung were selected via census sampling. Data were collected using a validated 30-item likert-scale (1-5) questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regressions, preceded by normality (Shapiro-Wilk), multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests. Results is work discipline and motivation simultaneously and significantly influence teacher performance (F = 14.059; p = 0.000 < 0.05). Work discipline (β = 0.407; p = 0.033) and work motivation (β = 0.498; p = 0.019) each have a significant positive effect. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.510) indicates that both variables explain 51% of the variance in teacher performance. Conclusion is work discipline and work motivations are key determinants of teacher performance. Schools should enforce consistent work regulations and cultivate motivational environments to improve educational quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze graffiti as a medium for learning fine arts in elementary schools, particularly in exploring students' learning experiences in depth. The study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method conducted at Beringin Raya 1 Elementary School, Kemiling District, Bandar Lampung City from June to August 2025. Participants were selected through purposive sampling techniques from third-grade students who showed a high interest in fine arts. Data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation of works, then analyzed using a six-stage thematic analysis, namely data familiarization, initial coding, theme search, theme review, theme definition, and report writing. The results of the study revealed three main themes, namely: (1) expression of identity through personal symbols, (2) freedom to experiment with color and shape, and (3) positive and meaningful learning experiences. These three themes show that graffiti, when integrated into formal learning with an approach that frees expression, is able to activate the core components of creativity while fostering students' intrinsic motivation. This study concludes that graffiti has great potential as a medium for learning fine arts that is contextual and relevant to students' contemporary visual culture, and recommends its more explicit integration into the elementary school fine arts curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of AI, particularly educational robotics and chatbots, as learning partners for elementary students through a systematic literature review approach. Data were collected from journal articles, conference proceedings, and research reports published between 2022 and 2025. The analysis integrates qualitative content analysis (coding, categorizing, and thematic synthesis), bibliometric mapping using VOSviewer, and citation analysis using Publish or Perish to identify research trends, dominant themes, and existing gaps. The findings indicate that educational robotics enhances students’ motivation, critical thinking, and collaboration through experiential and STEM-based learning, while AI-powered chatbots support personalized learning by providing instant feedback and fostering learner autonomy, particularly in language literacy and basic mathematics. However, the results reveal that AI is still predominantly positioned as a supporting instructional tool rather than a fully developed learning partner. Bibliometric and citation analyses further indicate a fragmentation between technological advancement and its pedagogical application in primary education, especially in relation to affective and socio-emotional aspects. The implementation of AI also faces several challenges, including limited infrastructure, high costs, and varying levels of digital literacy among teachers. This study concludes that optimizing AI as a learning partner requires stronger alignment between technology, pedagogy, and learner characteristics. The findings contribute to the development of pedagogically meaningful AI integration and provide recommendations for educators, technology developers, and policymakers.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the feasibility and effectiveness of electronic student worksheets based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) using the Liveworksheet platform in improving the scientific literacy skills of elementary school students. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of the study were 24 fifth-grade students of State Elementary School 10 Metro Timur. Data were collected through expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and scientific literacy ability tests in the form of pretests and posttests. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques, qualitative descriptive techniques, and improvement tests using N-Gain. The results showed that the developed electronic student worksheets obtained a very feasible category from the aspects of material, language, and media. Student responses to the use of electronic student worksheets were in the very good category with a percentage of 91%. The results of the effectiveness test showed an increase in scientific literacy skills with an N-Gain value of 0.72 which is included in the high category. These findings indicate that PBL-based electronic student worksheets using liveworksheet are appropriate, practical, and effective teaching materials to support the improvement of elementary school students' scientific literacy skills.

Abstract

This study maps the development of local wisdom research in Indonesia using a bibliometric approach to identify publication trends, dominant themes, emerging topics, and research gaps. Data were retrieved from Google Scholar on 13 May 2024, covering publications from 2015 to 2024. After screening and deduplication, 545 validated documents were analyzed using Publish or Perish, Mendeley, and VOSviewer through citation analysis, keyword co-occurrence, network visualization, overlay visualization, and density mapping. The results show a substantial increase in publication output, particularly after 2022, indicating growing scholarly attention to local wisdom in relation to education, culture, and sustainable development. The dominant thematic clusters are centered on character education, curriculum integration, student learning, and value transmission demonstrating that local wisdom has primarily been positioned as pedagogical within indonesian scholarship. Overlay analysis reveals a shift from preservation-oriented studies toward implementation-based themes such as innovation, strategy, and contextual learning. However, weak keyword connectivity is found in areas related to student engagement, participatory learning, experiential approaches, digital preservation, and interdisciplinary collaboration, indicating underexplored directions in the current literature. The findings further suggest that local wisdom research in Indonesia is more education-oriented than ecological or governance-oriented, differing from several international trends in indigenous knowledge studies. Future research should therefore prioritize student-centered learning models, technology-supported cultural preservation, and stronger collaboration between educational institutions and local communities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Interactive Flat Panel (IFP)-based tug-of-war gamification on the motivation and mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students. The study used a quantitative approach with a one group pretest–post-test design involving 28 third-grade elementary school students in Jember Regency. The research instruments were learning outcome tests and motivation questionnaires based on the ARCS (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, and Satisfaction) model. Data were analyzed using normality tests, N-gain tests, and paired samples t-tests. The results showed that there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes and motivation after the implementation of IFP-based gamification. The average learning outcome score increased from 56 to 87 with an N-gain of 0.71 (high category), while learning motivation increased from 57 to 80 with an N-gain of 0.52 (moderate category). The results of the paired samples t-test showed a significant difference between the pretest and post-test in both variables (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the integration of gamification and IFP media not only increases student learning engagement but also strengthens conceptual understanding through interactive and collaborative learning experiences. This research provides a novel contribution to the development of classical gamification-based mathematics learning, particularly through an IFP-based tug-of-war game model that can accommodate direct group interaction.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of Project Based Learning (PjBL) on critical thinking skills and character development in elementary school students. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent pretest–posttest design group design. The study population consisted of fifth-grade students of Indrasari 1 Public Elementary School, Martapura District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan, consisting of three classes. Two classes were randomly selected as research samples, namely class VA as the experimental class implementing PjBL and class VC as the control class, each consisting of 35 students. Data analysis was carried out using one sample t-test, MANOVA with Hotelling's T² criteria, and independent t-test. The results of the assumption test showed that the data met the analysis requirements, both multivariate normality (sig. 0.12–0.86 > 0.05), multivariate homogeneity (Box's M pretest = 4.161; sig. = 0.087 and posttest = 2.906; sig. = 0.840), univariate normality (sig. 0.07–0.20 > 0.05), and homogeneity of variance (critical thinking ability sig. = 0.430; character sig. = 0.671). The MANOVA results before treatment showed no difference in the initial mean between the two groups (Hotelling's T² = 0.016; F = 0.546; sig. = 0.582 > 0.05). The results of the study showed that PjBL learning was effective in improving students' critical thinking skills and character, compared to conventional learning
