Abstract

Spiritual care is essential in nursing, especially for patients with chronic or palliative conditions such as coronary heart disease. Although medical intervention is crucial, Islamic spiritual therapy using murottal has a significant impact on patient satisfaction. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of murottal in enhancing patient satisfaction among individuals with coronary heart disease. A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design was used with 52 participants at Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital, Palembang, Indonesia. Total sampling was applied, and data were analyzed using the paired sample t-test. Patient satisfaction was measured using a Likert-scale questionnaire to assess the impact of murottal spiritual care. The results showed that the control and intervention groups had a mean age of 54 ± 6.33 and 56 ± 8.65 years, with a disease duration of 10 ± 6.38 and 9 ± 4.33 years, respectively. Most participants were male (78.8% -control, 73.1% -intervention), had low education levels, and were unemployed. Before the intervention, dissatisfaction was reported by 84.6% of the intervention group and 88.5% of the control group. Afterward, 80.8% of the intervention group expressed satisfaction, while 76.9% of the control group remained dissatisfied. The t-test yielded a p-value of < 0.05 (0.000), indicating that murottal significantly increases patient satisfaction. Integrating murottal into nursing can enhance spiritual well-being and improve patient satisfaction, particularly in chronic and palliative care settings. Keywords: coronary heart disease, murottal, nursing care, patient satisfaction, spiritual care   Abstrak Peningkatan Kepuasan Pasien Jantung Koroner melalui Pelayanan Spritual Islami dengan Murottal dalam Praktik Keperawatan. Perawatan spiritual sangat penting dalam keperawatan, terutama bagi pasien dengan kondisi kronis atau paliatif seperti penyakit jantung koroner. Meskipun intervensi medis sangat krusial, terapi spiritual Islam menggunakan murottal memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap kepuasan pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas murottal dalam meningkatkan kepuasan pasien pada individu dengan penyakit jantung koroner. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimental dengan pretest-posttest pada 52 partisipan di Rumah Sakit Islam Siti Khadijah, Palembang, Indonesia. Teknik total sampling diterapkan, dan data dianalisis menggunakan paired sample t-test. Kepuasan pasien diukur menggunakan kuesioner skala Likert untuk menilai dampak dari perawatan spiritual Murottal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok intervensi dan kontrol memiliki rata-rata usia 54 ± 6,33 dan 56 ± 8,65 tahun, dengan durasi penyakit masing-masing 10 ± 6,38 dan 9 ± 4,33 tahun. Sebagian besar partisipan berjenis kelamin laki-laki (78,8% kontrol, 73,1% intervensi), memiliki tingkat pendidikan rendah, dan tidak bekerja. Sebelum intervensi, ketidakpuasan dilaporkan oleh 84,6% kelompok intervensi dan 88,5% kelompok kontrol. Setelah intervensi, 80,8% kelompok intervensi menyatakan puas, sementara 76,9% kelompok kontrol tetap tidak puas. Uji t menghasilkan nilai p < 0,05 (0,000), yang menunjukkan bahwa murottal secara signifikan meningkatkan kepuasan pasien. Integrasi Murottal dalam praktik keperawatan dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan spiritual dan kepuasan pasien, terutama dalam perawatan kronis dan paliatif. Abstract

Anxiety in preschool children during hospitalization can affect their psychological well-being, cooperation during procedures, and recovery process. This community service program aimed to implement the CITRA Module (Communication Through Interactive Therapeutic and Reflective Storytelling Approach) in nursing practice to reduce anxiety among hospitalized preschool children at Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital Palembang. The program was conducted from July to September 2025 and involved 10 nurses as training participants and 30 preschool children as intervention recipients. The method applied was training and education combined with clinical mentoring, including therapeutic storytelling education, simulation of CITRA implementation, direct clinical practice in pediatric wards, and evaluation through descriptive observation of children’s behavior and emotional responses. The results of descriptive evaluation showed a notable improvement in nurses’ therapeutic communication skills after training and mentoring. In addition, approximately 80% of children demonstrated a decrease in anxiety indicators such as excessive crying, physical tension, and fear of procedures. The CITRA Module proved to be feasible and practical to implement, enabling nurses to build more positive therapeutic interactions with children and enhance the quality of pediatric nursing care. This program is recommended for sustainable implementation in pediatric clinical nursing practice.

Abstract

Anxiety and depression are common psychological problems experienced by patients with chronic illnesses and may affect the recovery process. Islamic spiritual care is considered a complementary approach that can help enhance calmness and strengthen patients’ coping abilities. This community service program aimed to empower nurses through the implementation of the ARIS Module (Anxiety and Depression Reduction Through Islamic Spiritual Care) to improve their competence in providing spiritual care and to contribute to better psychological outcomes among patients. The program was conducted at Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital Palembang from August to September 2025 and involved 35 nurses. The activities included intensive training, demonstrations, role play, and supervised clinical practice, covering therapeutic communication, guided dzikr and prayer, selected Qur’anic verses, and spiritual reflection based on the ARIS Module. Evaluation was carried out through pre–post tests and monitoring of patients’ psychological responses. The program showed improvements in nurses’ knowledge and skills in delivering more structured, empathetic, and needs-based spiritual care. The implementation of the ARIS Module also contributed to reduced anxiety and depression among patients, reflected in greater calmness, relaxation, and readiness to face illness. This program provided a positive contribution to strengthening holistic nursing care in the hospital.

Abstract

Background: Hospitalization often triggers significant anxiety in preschool children due to unfamiliar environments, separation from parents, and invasive procedures. Interactive and therapeutic communication approaches are essential to support children’s emotional stability during care. Objective: This study aimed to develop and evaluate the CITRA Nursing Module (Communication through Interactive Therapeutic and Reflective Storytelling Approach) as an intervention to reduce hospitalization anxiety in preschool children. Methods: This research employed a Research and Development design using the ADDIE model. The module was developed through literature review, expert validation, and preliminary observations, then tested on 46 hospitalized preschool children at Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital Palembang between February and July 2025. Anxiety levels were measured before and after the intervention using a validated anxiety instrument for preschoolers. Paired statistical tests were used to determine intervention effectiveness. Results: The CITRA module was effective in reducing hospitalization anxiety. Post-intervention scores showed a significant decrease, indicating improved emotional comfort and coping abilities. Feedback from nurses and parents confirmed the module’s feasibility, practicality, and acceptability in clinical practice. Conclusion: The CITRA Nursing Module is an effective intervention for reducing hospitalization anxiety in preschool children. Its implementation has the potential to strengthen therapeutic communication and support child-centered hospitalization practices. Further research with a larger and more diverse population is recommended to enhance the generalizability of the findings.

Abstract

Anxiety and depression are common psychological problems experienced by patients with chronic illnesses, potentially worsening their clinical condition and quality of life. Nursing interventions that integrate an Islamic spiritual approach are considered to have the potential to enhance psychological calmness when coping with long-term disease. This study aimed to develop and assess the effectiveness of the ARIS Module (Anxiety and Depression Reduction through Islamic Spiritual Care) as a nursing intervention guideline to address anxiety and depression among patients with chronic illnesses. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) design using the ADDIE model, which includes needs analysis, design, content development, implementation in nursing practice, and evaluation. Effectiveness testing was conducted through a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest design involving 140 chronic illness patients who received care from January 2025 to July 2025 at Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital Palembang. The Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) and the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II) were used as measurement instruments. The findings revealed that the implementation of the ARIS Module significantly reduced anxiety and depression levels (p < 0.05) compared to pre-intervention scores. Patients also reported improved spiritual comfort and emotional support from nurses. This module was considered feasible, practical, and relevant for use in nursing practice focused on holistic care. The study recommends broader implementation of the module across various nursing services and the development of training programs to enhance nurses’ competencies in spiritual care.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Transformasi digital di pendidikan keperawatan mendorong kebutuhan instrumen evaluasi klinik yang lebih efisien, akurat, dan transparan. Evaluasi berbasis kertas memiliki keterbatasan dalam objektivitas, efisiensi, dan dokumentasi, sehingga diperlukan model evaluasi terintegrasi berbasis Android yang telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Tujuan: Menilai validitas dan reliabilitas berbasis kesepakatan penilai dari model evaluasi klinik berbasis Android menggunakan metode percent agreement. Metode: Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif melibatkan 43 responden multi-rater (mahasiswa, pembimbing, pakar keperawatan, dan pakar teknologi informasi) yang menilai lima indikator aplikasi (tampilan, navigasi, konten, reliabilitas, dan teknis) menggunakan kuesioner Likert 4 poin. Validitas dan reliabilitas dianalisis menggunakan equivalency percent agreement dengan batas kelayakan ≥70%. Hasil: Seluruh indikator memenuhi syarat kelayakan: tampilan (79,94%), navigasi (75,35%), konten (70,06%), reliabilitas (84,50%), dan teknis (81,59%). Skor total mencapai 77,63%, berada pada kategori “Baik” dan menunjukkan kesepakatan inter-rater yang konsisten. Saran: Implementasi aplikasi berpotensi diperluas pada berbagai setting klinik dan institusi pendidikan, sementara pengembangan lanjutan pada penelitian berikutnya dapat difokuskan pada penyempurnaan konten, antarmuka pengguna, serta penguatan analisis evaluatif untuk mendukung pengambilan keputusan akademik.Kata Kunci: Aplikasi Android; Evaluasi klinik; Pendidikan keperawatan; Reliabilitas; Validitas
