Abstract

The increasing cost of Hajj in Indonesia has become an important issue that may influence Muslims' intention to register for the pilgrimage. In recent years, adjustments to Hajj costs have been implemented by the Government of Indonesia and the Indonesian Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) to ensure the long-term sustainability of Hajj financing. While these policies are essential for maintaining financial stability, they may also alter public perceptions regarding Hajj affordability and affect individuals' willingness to register. In addition, financial capability is considered an important factor influencing prospective pilgrims' readiness to fulfill the financial requirements for Hajj. This study aims to examine the influence of cost perception and financial capability on the intention to register for Hajj among Muslim communities in South Jakarta, Indonesia. A quantitative research design with a cross-sectional survey was employed. Data were collected from 100 Muslim respondents residing in South Jakarta who had not previously performed Hajj through a structured questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression analysis. The findings reveal that cost perception has a positive and statistically significant effect on Hajj registration intention. Financial capability also demonstrates a positive and significant influence on individuals' intention to register for Hajj. Furthermore, both variables jointly exert a significant effect on Hajj registration intention, explaining 29.0% of the variance in the dependent variable (R² = 0.290). These findings suggest that financial considerations remain important determinants of Hajj registration decisions, although other psychological, social, and institutional factors also contribute to individuals' intentions.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Islamic leadership on employee loyalty at PT Multi Servisindo Sarana, an Indonesian security service company operating in a highly competitive outsourcing industry where employee retention has become a critical organizational challenge. Islamic leadership is conceptualized through four prophetic leadership dimensions: Shiddiq (truthfulness), Amanah (trustworthiness), Tabligh (effective communication), and Fathonah (wisdom and competence). A quantitative research design was employed using a structured questionnaire distributed to employees selected through probability sampling with a simple random sampling technique. From a population of 1,056 employees, a sample size of 91 was determined using the Slovin formula. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS. The findings reveal that Amanah has a positive and statistically significant effect on employee loyalty, whereas Shiddiq, Tabligh, and Fathonah do not exhibit significant partial effects. However, the four dimensions of Islamic leadership jointly have a significant influence on employee loyalty (F = 31.391; p < 0.001), explaining 59.4% of the variance in employee loyalty (R² = 0.594). These findings suggest that trustworthiness represents the most influential leadership attribute in strengthening employee loyalty within the security services industry. The study recommends that organizations reinforce leadership practices grounded in Islamic values, particularly Amanah, to foster employee commitment, organizational stability, and long-term organizational performance.

Abstract

The issues surrounding Migration and the Problems of Muslim Minorities in the Modern World have become a hot topic of discussion and are constantly changing. Not only by Muslims but also by non-Muslims are fascinated by this issue. The coverage of foreign (Western) media that always corners Islam (not individuals in Islam) and global terror events is very effective in changing a country’s policy to fight against Islam. However, this does not mean that they (the West) are discriminatory actions against Muslims living there. This study aims to review migration events and how the conditions of Muslim immigrants are in Bali and several essential countries in Europe and Asia. This article is a library research and empirical facts were obtained from various current and reliable news sources. This research examines the extent of the fate of Muslim immigrants in multiple countries with different characters and critically examines how the policies of these countries impact Muslim minorities. In addition, a comparative study was also conducted on the condition of Muslim immigrants being minorities in several countries with different backgrounds and characters. The results of research are: Firstly, Western countries highly uphold human rights. Some of the friction occuring with the Muslim minority is a precautionary measure, rather than discrimination as it is often presented to them. Secondly, the conflict between Muslim minority and local population is motivated by two factors: (a) their ignorance of the real Islam and thinking that terrorist Islam is the same as King Salman in Saudi Arabia or Imām Khumaeni in Iran, and (b) improved security to protect the country and all of its people from acts of terrorism. Thirdly, discriminatory treatment occurs in the East World, China, Myanmar, Thailand are real examples that until now have not received a solution; even the United Nations has stated that the Rohingya are the most oppressed minority on earth. This study contributes to academic discourse by offering a nuanced understanding of migration and the treatment of Muslim minorities across diverse geopolitical contexts.
