Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design a series of automatic turn signal lights on and off using GPS and maps to help motorcyclists be comfortable in driving traffic within and between cities, and help motorcyclists use turn signal lights correctly and precisely when turning them on and off. With this tool, riders can turn on and off the turn signal automatically by simply connecting the tool and application to the internet or bluetooth, making it easier for riders to ride motorbikes. This research uses engineering research methods which include system design, hardware design, software design, hardware and software testing, and test analysis. The programming used is Arduino IDE software. The working principle of this system is that the turn signal lights will automatically be driven by a relay, before the device will be connected to maps through a web-based application as a bridge. This web application connects to Maps to get route data and uses a Bluetooth connection via the HC-05 module to send signals to the Arduino Uno R3. After turning, Maps sends a signal back to turn off the turn signal. The test results show the relationship between speed and active time on the automatic turn signal device, that the higher the speed of the vehicle being traveled, the shorter the active time of the turn signal lights to the turn to be passed, and vice versa. So this research is useful for motorists to turn on and off the turn signal automatically.

Abstract

This study develops an automatic vacuum cleaner based on ultrasonic sensors with Arduino Mega as the main control unit. This system is designed to improve cleaning efficiency with automatic navigation that can detect and avoid obstacles without requiring a line path as a guide. This tool can move automatically using ultrasonic sensors to detect obstacles around it and adjust its direction of movement so as not to hit objects blocking its path. This tool integrates an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor, DC motor, L298N motor driver, and a relay to control the vacuum cleaner. Testing was carried out on an area of 120 cm × 120 cm divided into nine boxes, with an average cleaning result of 8.4 papers/box. These results indicate that the tool has effective and reliable cleaning capabilities. With this innovation, automatic vacuum cleaners can provide a practical solution for people in maintaining home cleanliness efficiently.

Abstract

This research is aimed at designing a rice pest repellent device using IoT (Internet of Things) based telegrams, the purpose of this design is to improve monitoring and security of rice in the fields in an effort to minimize crop losses caused by rice pests in the form of sparrows and bondol. The tool designed will collect information data continuously from sensors installed around the rice through Internet of Things connectivity and the data can be accessed via telegram on the user's smartphone. With the ESP32 Devkit which acts as the brain of the programming and will move the cans around the rice fields connected to the rope by the servo motor if there is a movement detected by the PIR sensor, a notification will be sent to the telegram on the smartphone. It is hoped that there will be an increase in the efficiency of monitoring and security of rice plants in the fields with the implementation of the rice pest repellent device designer using IoT (Internet of Things) based telegrams

Abstract

Human health is highly dependent on adequate daily fluid intake. Unfortunately, public awareness of monitoring water consumption remains low. This research aims to design and build an Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart dispenser capable of automatically and personally recording and monitoring water consumption. This system uses an RFID sensor to identify the user, an infrared sensor to detect the presence of a glass before filling it, and a water flow sensor to measure the volume of water consumed. Each user's water consumption data is sent and recorded in a Google Spreadsheet, and the desired volume of water can be adjusted in the Blynk application. Test results show that the system can work effectively in recognizing the user, controlling the water flow according to the set volume, and transmitting data accurately to the IoT platform. This tool is expected to raise awareness of the importance of body hydration and support digital health monitoring in homes, schools, offices, and healthcare facilities

Abstract

The integration of digital modules in higher education has become increasingly vital in enhancing student engagement, collaboration, and critical thinking, especially in post-pandemic learning environments. Research Team-Based Learning (RTBL) is a collaborative pedagogy that emphasizes problem-solving, peer interaction, and research-based inquiry. This theoretical review explores the role of digital modules in supporting RTBL by synthesizing findings from 15 international open-access studies published between 2020 and 2025. Using a narrative review method guided by PRISMA procedures, studies were selected from reputable databases (e.g., DOAJ, PLOS ONE, Frontiers) based on criteria including relevance to RTBL and use of digital instructional materials. Thematic analysis identified four dominant themes: student engagement, digital literacy, instructional design, and post-pandemic implications. Findings indicate that digital modules enhance the effectiveness of RTBL by providing flexible access to learning materials, promoting active participation, and enabling peer-to-peer interaction. However, their impact is highly dependent on students’ digital literacy, the quality of instructional design, and institutional infrastructure. Poorly designed modules or limited digital skills can hinder collaborative learning outcomes. This review concludes that digital modules are not merely supplementary tools but essential enablers of RTBL success. Their implementation requires a balanced strategy that integrates pedagogical, technological, and institutional support. Future research should explore longitudinal impacts, AI-driven instructional feedback, and cross-cultural adaptations to optimize the use of digital modules in collaborative higher education settings.

Abstract

A common problem in learning is the low achievement of students, which is influenced by differences in students’ understanding and learning styles, as well as the insufficient application of innovative and student-centered learning models. Therefore, an instructional approach that can address these issues is needed, such as differentiated learning combined with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This study employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects were tenth-grade students of the Electrical Installation Engineering program at SMK N 2 Sawahlunto. Data collection was conducted using pretest and posttest instruments to assess students’ learning outcomes. The data obtained were analyzed using N-Gain scores and classical completeness. The results indicate that the implementation of differentiated learning integrated with the PBL model is quite effective in improving students’ learning outcomes. This is evidenced by an increase in the average posttest score to 86.06 from a pretest score of 59.66. The implementation of differentiated learning was proven to significantly enhance students’ learning achievement, as reflected by a normalized gain score of 0.66, which falls into the medium category, with a classical completeness of 97%.
