Abstract

Program geowisata merupakan bagian dari keunggulan geopark. Dalam hal ini, Aspiring Geopark Ujung Kulon dalam proses penetapan sebagai geopark nasional dan memerlukan upaya pengukuhan dalam berbagai lini, termasuk di wilayah Desa Wisata Sukarame yang menjadi salah satu kawasannya. Potensi geowisata secara fisik sangat signifikan, sementara kemampuan pelaku pariwisata setempat juga telah mumpuni mengusung ekowisata bawah air. Secara atraksi, aksibilitas, amenitas, Desa Wisata Sukarame sudah unggul; namun masih dapat dioptimalkan dari segi organisasi wisata (ansilieri) untuk terlibat aktif dalam program geowisata. Pelatihan ini merupakan bagian dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan oleh Program Studi Magister Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Bakrie. Kegiatan ini sekaligus merupakan bagian dari matakuliah Komunikasi Digital sebagai implementasi visi Universitas Bakrie yaitu experiental learning dan aktivitas Pusat Studi Geopark Universitas Bakrie yang bermitra dengan Badan Pengelola Geopark Ujung Kulon.

Abstract

Merangin Geopark is an area that has unique geology, biodiversity, and significant cultural and social values. This research involves analyzing the narratives used in the news coverage of Merangin Geopark to understand how the concept of geopark value in the stories conveyed to the public through the media. This research aims to analyze the concept of geopark value in news narratives with a case study on Merangin Geopark. This research method uses a qualitative approach by collecting and analyzing various news sources about Merangin Geopark. The data collected is then analyzed to identify the concept of geopark value depicted in the news narrative. The results showed that the news narrative of Merangin Geopark reflects the concept of geopark values which include aspects of natural beauty, geological uniqueness, environmental sustainability, cultural heritage and Geopark development. The concept of these values is reflected in the stories conveyed to the public, both through the depiction of amazing geological characteristics, abundant biodiversity, and local wisdom related to the culture and traditions of the local community, In addition, the values presented in the news narrative, such as uniqueness, vulnerability, and sustainability, are closely related to the characteristics of Merangin Geopark. It can be said that the prominence of news narratives in communicating the importance of geopark preservation and development depends not only on the content of the narrative itself, but also on factors such as news dissemination, the intended audience, and the social context.

Abstract

Young entrepreneurs are now seen as having the potential to become the backbone or support for the country's economy. The problems of young entrepreneurs are still closely related to the difficulty of marketing. One of the factors that causes the distribution of goods to be less widespread is because young entrepreneurs have not done online marketing. Empowerment of young entrepreneurs is believed to be able to provide more benefits to businesses. But how business actors can make it part of a strategy that supports businesses in their respective core activities and supply chains is still an obstacle. The solution offered in this service program is to provide training and assistance that focuses on improving the ability of young entrepreneurs in the field of marketing communication through the website. For this reason, several sub-discussions will lead to promotion through the website, improving product quality through innovation and the use of technology. This program is carried out with the aim of encouraging and increasing the productivity of the young entrepreneurial community in Prumpung, East Jakarta so that they have both hard skills and soft skills so that they are able to be economically and socially independent.

Abstract

The presence of spiritual tourism in the form of a hugging process, known as a self-cleansing ritual for Hindus, has now become much sought after by local and foreign tourists. The Melukat ritual, a sacred Hindu practice, involves a series of cleansing and purifying activities in a holy water spring, believed to provide spiritual and physical healing. This process provides benefits, namely self-healing from stress, trauma, depression, and so on, just by going through several believed stages. Tirta Empul Temple is the most popular Melukat location for tourists in Bali. The queue for those who want to carry out the Melukat process is always long and snakes every day, not only during the holiday season or holidays. This study focuses on observing tourist self-healing program activities through the Melukat ritual using the AKIELS Model analysis knife. The findings show that Tirta Empul Temple, in the minds of tourists, is attached to the Melukat ritual, which is believed to be self-healing for tourists because it provides calming benefits from stress, trauma, and depression. Tirta Empul Temple has become embedded in the minds of tourists, and it can be represented by the many visitors who come to do the ritual Melukat almost every day. This study produces an in-depth understanding of Hindu spiritual tourism branding by dissecting the aspects of brand awareness, knowledge, image, experience, loyalty, and spirituality in the tourist self-healing program through the Melukat ritual in Bali.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to develop the organizational capacity of Sukarame Tourism Village as a geo-tourism program in Pandeglang Regency. The activity was carried out with partners, namely the Pandeglang Regency Tourism Office and the Ujung Kulon Geopark Management Agency. Sukarame Tourism Village has achieved achievements as one of the best tourist villages in Indonesia. However, as one of the areas in the Ujung Kulon Geopark area, tourism village organizations still experience limited literacy related to branding strategies, promotion and marketing, and financial management. The method of community service is training and mentoring to design and implement geo-tourism promotion and financial management by optimizing the use of media. Training activities in the form of material presentation and discussion related to branding strategies, promotion and marketing, and financial management. While mentoring activities in the form of helping participants create social media for their business promotion. The results of the activity concluded that there was an increase in knowledge and understanding of branding, promotion and marketing strategies, and simple financial management according to accounting standards. The increase was seen from the results of the pre-test and post-test, there was an increase in participants' understanding related to financial management and reporting above 80%; understanding related to promotion and marketing above 12%; and understanding related to the importance of media in promotion and marketing as much as 88%. This activity provides other outputs such as content uploaded on social media, documentaries, and special websites for the development of geotourism programs.

Abstract

Previous studies have suggested that mass media plays a role in raising public awareness on environmental issues (Jurin, 2010), disseminating information to the community (Campbell, 1999) and educating the public on environmental issues. Media is also an important translator of scientific information and policy for audience (Boykoff, 2009). However, there are many barriers to the media to do those, especially in Indonesia (Mihardja, 2017). This paper describes the production process of environmental stories in Indonesia's mainstream media as well as various factors that influencing this process. The description is reviewed with a discussion of Media Theory to understand the challenges and opportunities faced by the media to carry out its role to participate in efforts to maintain the quality of the environment.

Abstract

This study examines the experiences of individuals with Near-Death Experiences (NDEs) or individuals who have had near-death experiences. This phenomenon is still without a concrete definition and clear mechanism, almost like a mystery, as it is not perceived by others, only felt by the individuals who experience it. There are few individuals with near-death experiences due to severe illness or tragic accidents. The Near-Death Experience phenomenon falls into the category of unique and rare events, with a relatively small number of studies from the perspective of transcendental communication in Indonesia. The aim of this study is to understand and describe how individuals interpret their experiences of transcendental communication when in a coma or abnormal consciousness. This study uses a phenomenological approach with three subjects. The results of this study are expected to deeply explore the experiences of individuals' transcendental communication with their Creator during near-death conditions. These experiences serve as lessons for everyone that death will surely come, hence the need to prepare with good deeds and worship. To delve deeper into the description of the near-death transcendental communication experiences, in-depth interviews were conducted with subjects who voluntarily agreed to participate. The subjects were selected using purposive sampling techniques, specifically snowball sampling. The study results indicate that the transcendental communication experienced by the three subjects involved communicating with their God, their Creator, resulting in profound meanings for them. All three subjects perceived their near-death condition as a pivotal point for behavioral change towards a better direction in life.

Abstract

Dalam dekade terakhir, terjadi peningkatan tanah longsor dan keruntuhan lereng yang signifikan. Guna menjawab permasalahan tersebut, stabilisasi lereng menggunakan metode geo-struktur menjadi sebuah kebutuhan. Seiring dengan perkembangan metode geo-struktur, metode soil bioengineering menjadi alternatif dalam stabilisasi lereng, baik untuk lereng alami maupun lereng buatan. Soil bioengineering sendiri merupakan metode ramah lingkungan untuk stabilisasi dan perkuatan pada lahan miring (lereng) melalui penanaman vegetasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan antara metode geo-struktur (menggunakan soil nailing dan perkuatan tiang) dan metode soil bioengineering (menggunakan vetiver grass dan switchgrass) dalam stabilisasi lereng. Analisis stabilitas lereng dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode elemen hingga dan mempertimbangkan nilai faktor keamanan (SF). Jika dibandingkan dengan metode geo-struktur, metode soil bioengineering ternyata mampu menandingi sebagai metode stabilisasi lereng pada tiga kondisi tanah yang berbeda, yaitu kondisi tanpa air, kondisi jenuh, dan kondisi tidak jenuh. Metode soil nailing menghasilkan pengaruh paling besar dalam peningkatan stabilitas lereng (SF = 1.384 – 3.096), sedangkan yang berpengaruh paling kecil adalah metode perkuatan tiang (SF = 1.045 – 2.236). Metode soil bioengineering dengan menggunakan switchgrass (SF = 1.060 – 2.322) dan vetiver grass (SF = 1.090 – 2.449), berada pada tingkat menengah di antara metode soil nailing dan perkuatan tiang. Bisa dikatakan bahwa metode soil bioengineering cukup setara dengan metode perkuatan tiang dalam meningkatkan nilai SF meskipun masih jauh di bawah metode soil nailing. Dengan demikian, metode soil bioengineering terbukti dapat menggantikan metode geo-struktur dalam meningkatkan stabilitas lereng.

Abstract

Seiring dengan perkembangan pesat teknologi informasi, perubahan pola komunikasi dalam masyarakat semakin terasa.. Media digital yang hadir memberikan kemudahan dalam menjangkau berbagai kalangan, termasuk pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM). Meskipun media digital menawarkan banyak manfaat, banyak pelaku UMKM yang masih kesulitan memanfaatkannya secara maksimal untuk promosi dan pemasaran produk mereka. Oleh karena itu, pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman mengenai pemanfaatan media digital bagi pelaku UMKM, khususnya dalam konteks pemasaran produk melalui platform digital. Pengabdian dilaksanakan dalam bentuk webinar yang mengundang narasumber ahli di bidang digital media, yakni CEO Hello Bill, untuk memberikan wawasan mengenai digital marketing dan pemanfaatan alat transaksi digital yang efektif. Webinar ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada pelaku UMKM mengenai penggunaan media digital dan alat digital dalam mempermudah transaksi dan promosi produk. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta UMKM memperoleh pemahaman baru tentang bagaimana media sosial dan alat digital dapat digunakan untuk memperluas pasar mereka dan mengembangkan usaha secara lebih efisien. Dengan demikian, pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat membantu pelaku UMKM dalam beradaptasi dengan perkembangan teknologi digital dan meningkatkan daya saing usaha mereka melalui pemanfaatan platform digital, serta mendukung pelestarian budaya melalui promosi produk-produk khas Indonesia.

Abstract

SMK Jayawisata 2 merupakan sekolah kejuruan yang berfungsi untuk menghasilkan tenaga kerja terampil yang dapat beradaptasi dengan tuntutan kebutuhan dunia kerja. Namun, tidak sedikit dari lulusan SMK Jayawisata 2 yang susah dalam mendapatkan pekerjaan. Berdasarkan observasi awal, siswa-siswi masih mengalami keterbatasan literasi terkait strategi digital untuk memperkuat identitas dan reputasi pribadi melalui media sosial yang sangat dibutuhkan dalam menghadapi dunia kerja pada saat ini. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan kepada siswa-siswi SMK Jayawisata 2 dalam melakukan pengelolaan media sosial sebagai alat dalam membangun personal branding yang dapat mengembangkan keterampilan. Metode kegiatan berbentuk seminar yang terdiri dari pemaparan materi dan sesi tanya jawab interaktif yang dapat membuka akses informasi kepada peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta yang diukur melalui pre-test dan post-test dengan rata-rata peningkatan pemahaman terhadap materi sebesar 69,5%. Selain itu, hasil review kegiatan menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan yang tinggi dari peserta.
