Abstract

Research on science learning achievement is still not optimal due to the low use of IT media. Apart from that, students are still not used to applying science concepts to everyday life problems. Data collection techniques in this research used pre-test and post-test methods, using multiple choice questions and essays. This research aims to test the impact of the Problem Based Learning model integrated with augmented reality media on the academic performance of class V students. The research carried out utilized quantitative methods with a quasi-experimental design or non-equivalent control group design. The research sample was class V students at Nusukan Elementary School with 28 experimental group students and 28 control group students. The research instrument is in the form of multiple choice questions and essays through validity and reliability tests. The research results show that there is a significant difference between the post-test results for the experimental class, namely 93 and the post-test results for the control class, namely 71. This can be shown from the results of the N-Gain test analysis in the experimental class, which was 85.15% and in the control class, which was 63. .99%. Based on the results of the independent t-test, there are significant differences in the experimental class and control class on student learning achievement. The research results show that augmented reality media is very helpful in the problem orientation step because it is able to encourage students to understand and find solutions to problems or challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model supported by LiveWorksheets in improving learning achievement and science literacy skills of fourth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 16 Karangasem. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were students from classes IV A and IV B, with the object of the study being the effectiveness of student learning. The results of the study indicate that the effectiveness of student learning can be categorized as moderate, with listening activities obtaining the highest scores and oral activities obtaining the lowest scores. Teachers play a crucial role in enhancing student learning achievement by considering factors such as varied teaching methods, personalized approaches, motivation, and student engagement.The implications of this research provide a deeper understanding of the factors influencing student learning effectiveness, as well as designing more effective teaching strategies.

Abstract

The background of this study stems from the observation that teaching methods, such as problem-based learning using PowerPoint, tend to be less engaging and fail to optimally develop students’ critical thinking abilities. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of applying the Project Based Learning model supported by Powtoon interactive video media on students' critical thinking skills on water cycle material in elementary schools. The method used was a quasi-experiment with a Non Equivalent Control Group design, involving two classes of 25 students each. The research instrument consisted of pre-test and post-test questions that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that the application of the Project Based Learning model supported by Powtoon significantly improved students' critical thinking, especially in interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation, information relate to the water cycle. In the results of Cosen's D analysis, the project-based learning model with powtoon video media has a very significant increase compared to the problem-based model with PPT media on students' critical thinking skills, this shows an effect size of 1.182 which means a very large influence.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to describe the significant differences in students' reading ability after applying the Project Based Learning model with interactive media Wordwall game, compared to the Inquiry Learning Model with interactive video media Edpuzzle. Methodology: The research involved 46 students divided into two groups: a control group using the Inquiry Learning Model with Edpuzzle interactive video, and an experimental group using the Project Based Learning Model with Wordwall media. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test, and analyzed using the N-Gain value test. Validity and reliability tests were conducted on the instruments used. Results: The control group showed an N-Gain score of 0.42 (considered good enough), while the experimental group showed a higher score of 0.59, indicating a 59% improvement in reading ability (from 56% to 75%). Students in the experimental group demonstrated more enthusiasm and creativity, particularly in the process of product creation and interactive question exercises. Applications/Originality/Value: This research highlights the effectiveness of combining project-based learning with game-based media like Wordwall in enhancing reading skills. The interactive, product-oriented, and engaging learning process fosters not only better comprehension but also student motivation and creativity—making it a valuable approach for language learning environments.

Abstract

Research problems include the lack of HOTS questions, the absence of animation-based mathematics questions, and the lack of enthusiasm among students to study mathematics. The purpose of the study is to characterize the efficacy, viability, and validity of the developed HOTS questions. The benefits of this research include providing references for teachers in developing HOTS questions, helping students improve their cognitive abilities, and improving the quality of mathematics education in schools. This research focuses on developing higher order mathematical thinking (HOTS) questions which are presented in the form of PowerPoint animations. The development process follows the Tessmer model, which includes initial preparation, appraisal of oneself, review by an expert, individual testing, testing in small groups, and field testing. The product developed is a collection of HOTS mathematics questions for elementary school students, intended to improve their maths learning results and motivation. This research also analyzes HOTS questions in textbooks and workbooks, designs HOTS questions based on Bruner's theory, and validates the questions with experts and students. The data collected includes quantitative data from validation and field testing, as well as qualitative data from feedback and suggestions from experts. Data were analyzed using various techniques, including validity analysis and coefficient calculations.

Abstract

Penggunaan metode konvensional dan pembelajaran berpusat pada guru memengaruhi kemauan dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Hal ini sejalan dengan hasil observasi dan tes pada siswa kelas II yang menunjukkan rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis menggunakan model Problem Based Learning berbantu gamifikasi materi perkalian siswa kelas II SDN Bratan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas II semester genap tahun ajaran 2023/2024 yang berjumlah 18 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis materi perkalian pada siswa kelas II SDN Bratan. Implikasi penelitian dapat menjadi acuan dalam pengembangan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

In the 21st century, educational innovations are essential to enhance student engagement and the relevance of learning materials to their cultural and technological contexts. This study investigates the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning model integrated with the Culturally Responsive Teaching approach, supported by Augmented Reality  media, on the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at Banjarejo Elementary School, specifically in the topic of flat shapes. It also compares the learning outcomes between classes utilizing this innovative model and those employing conventional teaching methods. Employing a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental design, the study involved two classes: IV A as the experimental group (N = 20) and IV B as the control group (N = 20). Research instruments included validated and reliable multiple-choice and essay questions. The independent t-test analysis revealed significant differences in learning outcomes between the two groups. The findings indicate that the PBL model combined with CRT and AR is effective, achieving an N-Gain value of 58.45%. This approach fosters contextual, interactive learning that aligns with students, cultural backgrounds, demonstrating its potential to enhance educational practices in mathematics.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the need to enhance learning in the digital era, focusing on developing students' critical thinking, innovation, and creativity through technology-based education. This training addresses several key issues: (1) many teachers at Penggok 3 State Elementary School in Sragen struggle with using digital technology to support learning; (2) the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach is rarely applied; (3) students' interest in Indonesian culture is low; and (4) integrating technology into education is now essential. Teacher training is crucial for developing individual capabilities to create a better learning environment. This training aims to enhance primary school teachers' understanding and application of CRT, enabling them to design student worksheets (Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik - LKPD) and educational videos that reflect students' cultural diversity. Additionally, it aims to develop teachers' skills in using the Canva graphic design platform to create engaging, interactive, and culturally relevant LKPD and educational videos. The training on creating LKPD and educational videos with a CRT approach using Canva for teachers at Penggok 3 State Elementary School in Sragen yielded positive outcomes. Over 50% of teachers successfully created LKPD and educational videos using the CRT approach through Canva. Additionally, there was a 14.3% increase in understanding of the CRT approach, based on pre-test and post-test results.

Abstract

Sampah merupakan hal yang tidak asing lagi dibicarakan terutama didaerah perkotaan seperti Kota Semarang. Sampah anorganik adalahsampah yang tidak dapat mengalami pembusukan secara alami. Perluadanya penanganan secara terpadu dari berbagai pihak baik darisekolah, masyarakat, pemerintah, maupun pihak swasta untukmenangani masalah sampah di Kota Semarang. Berdasarkan hasilobservasi di SLB N Semarang, kepedulian guru dan siswa terlihatmasih rendah untuk mengelola sampah khususnya sampah anorganik.Selain itu media pembelajaran yang ada di sekolah tersebut jugamasih minim. Oleh karena itu, kami melakukan pelatihan pembuatanmedia pembelajaran edukatif dari sampah anorganik di SLB NSemarang. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini yaitu: 1) meningkatan kepeduliansiswa dan guru dalam melaksanakan program 3R (Reduce, Reuse,Recycle), 2) memperbaiki sikap siswa dan guru untuk membuangsampah pada tempatnya, 3) meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalammembuat media pembelajaran edukatif melalui pemanfaatan sampahanorganik, 4) mengurangi masalah sampah di SLB N Semarang.Pelatihan dilaksanakan selama 4 kali pertemuan tatap muka setiaphari Sabtu, yaitu mulai tanggal 27 April sampai dengan 1 Juni 2013.Ada 10 jenis media pembelajaran yang telah berhasil dibuat selamapelatihan. Hasil pencapaian di atas membuktikan bahwa programpelatihan ini berhasil untuk mendaur ulang sampah anorganik yangtidak bernilai menjadi produk media pembelajaran edukatif danmerupakan usaha pelaksanaan program 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle)yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di SLB N Semarang.Program lanjutan dari pelatihan ini adalah menyediakan modul danCD pembelajaran bagi guru yang berisi tentang langkah-langkahpembuatan media pembelajaran edukatif dari sampah anorganik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran permainan tradisional engklek pada pembelajaran bangun datar terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas V MI Muhammadiyah Waru. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi Eksperiment (pre test dan pos test). Populasi penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan siswa kelas V MI Muhammadiyah Waru yang berjumlah 100 siswa. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VB MI Muhammadiyah Waru dengan jumlah 35 siswa. Data yang dianalisis adalah hasil pre test dan pos test angket motivasi belajar. Selanjutnya, data dianalisis dengan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang efektif antara metode pembelajaran permainan tradisional engklek dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas V MI Muhammadiyah Waru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan thitung -2,953 < - ttabel 1,995, sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode pembelajaran permainan tradisional engklek berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas V MI Muhammadiyah Waru. Metode permainan tradisional engklek merupakan salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran matematika. Permainan ini dimodifikasi menjadi suatu metode pembelajaran matematika yang aktif dan menyenangkan. Pada permainan tradional engklek terdapat unsur matematika berupa gambar-gambar bangun datar. Metode ini cocok untuk diterapkan karena sesuai dengan karakteristik peserta didik usia Sekolah Dasar yang masih suka bermain.
