Abstract

This paper discusses the relationship between uncertainty, trust and the application of formal governance mechanism in Indonesian family SMEs. The data were obtained through survey to 360 family firms in indonesia. This study used factor analysis to validate the construct and multiple regression analysis to examine the hypothesis. The moderation testing indicated that trust moderated the relationship between uncertainty and formal governance was negatively significant

Abstract

Abstract— In an emerging economy such as Indonesia, family firms represent the most common form of business organization. This study discussed the supply chain strategy mechanism for inter-firms relationships in context of family small medium enterprises (SMEs). This study investigated in what situation family SMEs should apply relational or and formal supply chain strategy mechanism. This study used multiple regression analysis to examine hypothesis. In the data collection, questionnaires were distributed to 350 owners and managers of small-medium enterprises, around seven cities in Java Island in Indonesia. Results indicated  two factors asset specificity and uncertainty – influenced both formal and relational supply chain strategy. Through the investigation of supply chain strategy mechanism in family SMEs this study contributes to answer the appropriateness of the application supply chain strategy mechanism in Family SME

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in socio-economic development in Indonesia. However, MSMEs are more vulnerable to changes that result in losses, because MSMEs have limited resources. The Covid-19 pandemic is a serious challenge for SME operations. The resilience of their MSMEs is a priority during the pandemic. This study was conducted to explore the factors that affect the resilience of SMEs in Solo Raya. Using a quantitative approach, hypothesis testing uses Partial Least Square (PLS). The results obtained that the characteristics of Islamic entrepreneurship and Islamic social capital together have a significant effect on the resilience of MSMEs, especially in the context of Covid-19. The results of the study highlight that improving the characteristics of Islamic entrepreneurship should be prioritized to increase the resilience of SMEs

Abstract

Abstrak: Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Al-Quran Ath-Thohiriyah Muhammadiyah (PPTAAM) mengalami kesulitan dalam mencari santri baru. Sehingga, pihak pondok mengatasi masalah tersebut melalui pemasaran media sosial. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Al-Quran Ath-Thohiriyah Muhammadiyah bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan pengurus Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Al-Quran Ath-Thohiriyah Muhammadiyah tentang penggunaan sosial media marketing untuk meningkatkan jangkauan pemasaran. Kegiatan berupa pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada pengurus pesantren yang berjumlah 10 orang. Proses kegiatan yang dilakukan: (1) sosialisasi dan persiapan pengabdian; (2) pelatihan dan pendapingan digital marketing, branding, konten digital dan sosial media; dan (3) evaluasi pemahaman peserta. Hasil pengabdian didapati bahwa pelatihan telah terlaksana dengan baik, adanya peningkatan pemahaman pengurus terhadap materi sosial media marketing, hasil pretest peserta rata-rata 75% dan setelah pelatihan hasil posttest peserta rata-rata 99%, ada peningkatan 24%. Respon peserta terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan sangat bagus. Setelah diadakan pelatihan ada kenaikan jumlah follower media sosial pesantren dan jumlah percakapan melalui direct message (DM) Instagram.Abstract: The Tahfidz Al-Quran Islamic Boarding School Ath-Thohiriyah Muhammadiyah (PPTAAM) is having difficulties in finding new students. To overcome this problem, social media marketing will be implemented. Community service at the Tahfidz Al-Quran Ath-Thohiriyah Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School aims to increase the knowledge of the administrators of the Tahfidz Al-Quran Ath-Thohiriyah Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School regarding the use of social media marketing to increase marketing reach. Activities in the form of training and mentoring for boarding school administrators totaling 10 people. The community service process carried out: (1) socialization and preparation for community service; (2) training and assistance in digital marketing, branding, digital content and social media; dan (3) evaluating participants' understanding. The results of the service found that the training had been carried out well, there was an increase in the management's understanding of social media marketing materials, the results of the pre-test participants were on average 75% and after the training the post-test results for participants were an average of 99%, there was an increase of 24%.The response of the participants to the implementation of the activity was very good. After the training, there was an increase in the number of pesantren's social media followers and the number of conversations via Instagram direct messages (DM).

Abstract

Research aims: As the dust of the COVID-19 pandemic settles, one apparent theme of the resulting economic crisis is uncertainties. The uncertainties especially hurt the MSMEs, which often possess limited organizational resources and capabilities. Referred to the ability to evolve as the environments do, resilience has been seen as a mantra for MSMEs’ survival and success. The purpose of the current study is twofold. Firstly, this study seeks to examine the effect of innovation, resource capability, and social capital on the resilience of MSMEs in Indonesia. Secondly, this study is aimed to examine the relationship between company performance and resilience.Design/Methodology/Approach: Employing a quantitative approach, hypothesis testing utilized Partial Least Square (PLS) data analysis techniques with the SmartPLS 3.0 program. The population in the current inquiry was MSMEs owned by families in Solo Raya, Indonesia. The number of MSMEs involved was 215 MSMEs owned by families.Research findings: Resource capability, innovation, and social capital were found to positively influence the performance of MSMEs, which in turn affected the resilience of MSMEs.Theoretical contribution/Originality: The research findings provide a business resilience construct in third-world, grassroots enterprises where social and cultural factors dominate.Practitioner/Policy implication: Governmental programs, such as exhibitions or workshops, aimed at strengthening MSMEs’ social capital and internal capabilities and cultivating innovation culture are encouraged to assist MSMEs’ survival during economic hardships.Research limitation/Implication: This study only focused on MSMEs in the Greater Solo Region of Central Java, Indonesia, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Further studies thus are encouraged to test the results in other economic and cultural settings.

Abstract

Research aims: This study aims to determine whether entrepreneurial capability mediates the association between an internship, entrepreneurship training, networking learning, and startup performance.Design/Methodology/Approach: This research design is quantitative. The population in this exploration totaled 869 UMS Independent Entrepreneurial Students. Purposive sampling was the sampling method used. The sample size of this study was 250 respondents. Utilizing SMARTPLS software, the Partial Least Square (PLS) was employed to analyze the data in this study.Research findings: Internships, entrepreneurship training, and networking learning had a significant positive effect on startup performance by fostering a portion of their entrepreneurial capabilities.Theoretical contribution/Originality: This research contributes to the field of entrepreneurship in startup companies. In addition, it provides insight into the millennial generation's entrepreneurship to motivate them to become young entrepreneurs. This research also discusses corporate entrepreneurship.Practitioners/Policy implications: Companies need to know what factors affect startup performance so that they can make policies based on the existing conditions for the creation of quality startup companies.Research limitations/Implications: Based on the research done and the research results obtained, several limitations to the research exist. The questionnaire in this study was closed so that each respondent only answered the answer criteria provided. It could allow each respondent to answer the questionnaire, not by the actual situation. Also, the respondents in this study were only limited according to the level of respondents who were within the sample criteria. In this study, it was only limited to the independent and mediating variables. As for other factors that might affect startup performance, they were not examined.

Abstract

Research aims:  This research aims to determine the effect of perceived creativity, positive emotion, affective commitment on people intention to interact.Design/Methodology/Approach: The population in this research was Instagram users who experienced online purchasing fashion product from July to December in 2023. The sampling technique is employed purposive sampling to decide 225 respondents. The data has been examined for validity and reliability. The data analysis method used quantitative and descriptive.  A Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) approach is used for data analysis using Smart PLS.Research findings: Our study found a positive relationship between perceived creativity and positive emotion, as well as affective commitment. On the other hand, the study also revealed that perceived creativity does not have a positive correlation with users’ interaction intention. Similarly, positive emotion did not show a positive relationship with affective commitment. However, the study also demonstrated a positive correlation between positive emotions and affective commitment with people’s intention to interact.Theoretical Contribution/Originality:  this study gives meaningful contribution to Stimulus-Organism-Response theory by incorporating creativity to assess Instagram social media platform.Practitioners/Policy Implications:  These findings can assist business owners and social media marketers in developing creative marketing campaigns and building strong bond with their followers.Research Limitations/Implications: the limitation of this study is only assessing Instagram on fashion industry. Future research could replicate the study with different industries and collect respondent with a specific occupation to get better understanding on online consumer behavior

Abstract

One of the problems in Tawang Village, Weru Subdistrict, Sukoharjo Regency is the accumulation of organic waste (leaves from the garden) and food waste, which can cause environmental pollution and transmit diseases, and also inorganic waste (used goods) that are abandoned, but can still be recycled.  This service activity aims to encourage the community to manage inorganic waste in the form of waste savings and process organic waste into compost. This activity is expected to motivate the community to protect the environment and improve the community's economy through waste utilization. The target of this activity is health cadres from Tawang Village for waste management education, making waste savings, and processing compost fertilizer. The method of activity in this community service is in the form of education and refresher information about waste, types of waste, and changing the mindset of the community that inorganic waste can still be collected, saved and sold and has economic value. Until organic can be composted. Educational media in waste management training uses power point media and animated videos. Waste management education activities by forming waste savings in health cadres in Tawang Village showed an increase in knowledge by 0.64 points with an average pre-test score of 11.64 points and an average post-test score of 12.28 points. There is an increase in the results of inorganic waste collection every month, waste savings are also increased.

Abstract

The work environment, self-efficacy, and job satisfaction can influence employee performance in efforts to improve it. This study aims to determine how employee performance at PT PLN UP 3 Surakarta is affected by the work environment and self-efficacy, with job satisfaction acting as a mediator. A Likert scale questionnaire was used to collect quantitative data, with a sample size of 61 employees from PT PLN UP3 Surakarta. The results showed that there is no significant relationship between the work environment and employee performance, a significant relationship between self-efficacy and employee performance, a significant relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance, a significant relationship between the work environment and employee performance when mediated by job satisfaction, and a significant relationship between self-efficacy and employee performance when mediated by job satisfaction.
