Abstract

The present study was aimed at discovering the educational values of Minangkabau Ethnic's merantau culture to be used as educational content, particularly in Career Guidance and Counseling. The educational values were dug from various "petatah petitih and pantoums of Minangkabau Ethnic" which affecting the Minangkabaunese perantau such as mindset, attitude, and behavior. The present study employed qualitative approach with ethnographic realism by exploring the wisdom of Merantau of Minangkabau Ethnic. The data were collected through interview with the culture figure and literature study. The finding of the study showed that in Minangkabau's Merantau Culture, there are four educational values namely the value of career success, knowledge and experiences, mental and social resilience, and the value of life skill. The finding of the study can be used as a reference in guidance and counseling to develop a local wisdom-based program.

Abstract

This type of research is development research (R&D) using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The subjects of the study were 3 experts (media experts, material experts, and language experts), 3 teachers, and fifth grade students at SDN 22 Ujung Gurun, SDN 24 Ujung Gurun, and SDN 05 Padang Pasir. The validation results showed a validity level of 93.75% from media experts, 88.63% from material experts, and 90.6% from language experts, all of which were included in the "very valid" category. Based on the results of teacher and student responses, it is known that the percentage of practicality of learning media at SDN 22 Ujung Gurun reached 92.15% student responses and 95.8% teacher responses, at SDN 24 Ujung Gurun 95.35% student responses and 91.6% teachers, and at SDN 05 Padang Pasir 87.5% students and 95.5% teachers. In addition, the results of the effectiveness test showed an N-Gain value of 0.8054 at SDN 05 Padang Pasir and 0.7825 at SDN 24 Ujung Gurun, including the high category. Thus, it can be concluded that the diagnostic assessment based on i spring suite has been valid, practical, and effective for use in Pancasila learning for grade V elementary school

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar matematika peserta didik kelas IV di SDN 31 Jati Tanah Tinggi. Hal ini disebabkan kurangnya keterlibatan peserta didik secara aktif dan model pembelajaran yang kurang bervariatif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw berbantuan media Wordwall terhadap hasil belajar Matematika peserta didik kelas IV SDN 31 Jati Tanah Tinggi. Metode penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan Quasi Eksperimental Design dengan rancangan penelitian Posttest Only Control Design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas IV SDN 31 Jati Tanah Tinggi, dengan sampel kelas IV B sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas IVA sebagai kelas  eksperimen dengan jenis pengambilan sampel adalah sampel jenuh. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan tes akhir berupa soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 13 butir soal. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik deskriptif menghasilkan rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen 87,75 dan rata-rata nilai kelas kontrol 72,55. Berdasarkan analisis statistik melakukan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji u mendapatkan hasil bahwa Asymp.Sig (2- tailed) sebesar 0,001. Berdasarkan pengujian Uhitung,< Utabel (0,001< 0,005) H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw berbantuan media Wordwall terhadap hasil belajar Matematika peserta didik di kelas IV SDN 31 Jati Tanah Tinggi.

Abstract

Many university students exhibit low self-regulated learning, which contributes to various academic challenges. Overcoming this, in this study, the use alam takambang jadi guru as a cultural philosophy has its strength in increasing self-regulated learning. This study aims to test the effectiveness of symbolic modeling with alam takambang jadi guru to improve university students' self-regulated learning. The research was carried out experimentally using a single-subject design. The design used is a baseline–intervention–maintenance approach. The population in this study consists of university students selected using the purposive sampling technique, specifically three individuals who exhibit low self-regulation. The instrument used in this research is a self-regulated learning scale with high reliability and validity. The intervention will be conducted in six sessions, utilizing video media as a symbol. The results of this study showed that the intervention had an effect, with a steady increase in understanding and application that was self-regulated by the students at their university. Thus, university students’ cultural understanding contributed to improvements in self-regulated learning through increased cognitive, motivational, and behavioral knowledge. The conclusions of these findings can be used as a basis for counselors to apply and adopt this technique. Counselors can use this technique by using a group format to reach a large number of university students.

Abstract

 The implementation of the 2013 curriculum has generated mixed responses from various groups,especially for those implementing education in schools. There are still teachers who do notunderstand the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. The purpose of this study is to determine theperceptions of elementary school class teachers on the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. Thisstudy uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach, which is a form of research thatproduces numerical data on data analysis regarding the observed object . The results showed theperceptions of elementary school class teachers in Kuranji District, Padang City on thecomprehension aspect data of 74.72% with good categories, 70.22% acceptance aspects with goodcategories, and 65.20% evaluating aspects with good categories. The average perception ofelementary school class teachers on the implementation of the 2013 curriculum was 70.04% with agood category.

Abstract

 This research is motivated by findings during initial field observations that the majority of teachers donot place too much importance on character values in literature learning in elementary schools. In fact,literary learning is an educational tool that plays a major role in the world of education to shape anddevelop children's personalities. literature plays a role as character building which is believed to have amajor role in the development of character in children so that they are able to develop human beingswho are completely fun from an early age.Short stories, as a part of literary work that will be taught tochildren, actually can be analyzed the character values they have so that the positive energy can betransmitted to children. The purpose of this study was to analyze the character values in the short storiesin the third grade students' book of the theme 8 Praja Muda Karana. The approach used is a qualitativeapproach in the form of analysis of short stories in class III SD books. The subjects of this study were allshort stories contained in the third grade students' book of 8 Praja Muda Karana theme. The shortstories in the third grade students' book of the theme 8 Praja Muda Karana consist of eight short stories.The short story is entitled I am an independent child, independently doing homework, independentduring worship, practicing independently, I like adventure, cycling with friends, being a receptionist,holding charity activities. After being read and analyzed, it was found that there are several charactervalues that can be transmitted to children including: independence, friendly / communicative, religious,tolerance, discipline, hard work, curiosity, love for the country and several other noble characters.

Abstract

This research is a study of the structure of nanocomposites whose composition is varied between Fe3O4 and Graphene Oxide. The purpose of this study is to determine the structure of Fe3O4-Graphene Oxide nanocomposites from corn cob waste. This type of research is experimental research, which begins with sample preparation from corn cob waste, carbon activation, graphene oxide synthesis, sonication and neutralization of graphene oxide, and synthesis of Fe3O4-Graphene Oxide nanocomposites using the ball milling method by varying the composition. Crystal size and structure were characterized by XRD, functional groups were characterized by FTIR, surface morphology, particle size and porosity were characterized by SEM. The results of the research on the structure of Fe3O4-Graphene Oxide nanocomposites from corn cob waste, obtained XRD results show that the crystal structure is Hexagonal, Cubic, and Orthorhombic with the average crystal size of the best Fe3O4-Graphene Oxide composition variation at 30%: 70% composition, because the particle size produced is quite small from other composition variations, namely 39.19 nm. FTIR results show that all compositional variation comparisons have C-H, O-H, C≡C, C=O, C=C, C-O, and Fe-O bond functional groups. SEM results show the morphology of Fe3O4 is spherical, while the morphology of graphene oxide is in the form of chunks. The particle size value gets smaller as the Fe3O4 composition increases, because the more Fe3O4 composition causes the surface of the graphene oxide particles covered to get bigger. In addition, particle size can also affect the porosity of nanocomposites, the smaller particle size can increase porosity because more particles can occupy space.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kearifan yang terkandung dalam budaya Minangkabau sehingga dapat digunakan untuk mempengaruhi kepribadian masyarakat khususnya pelajar muda etnik Minangkabau. Budaya Minangkabau saat ini mulai terkikis dalam kepribadian orang Minangkabau karena minimnya sosialisasi nilai-nilai budaya kepada generasi muda. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan Etnografi. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan studi literature, wawancara tokoh budaya dan observasi lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa internalisasi pendidikan karakter berbasis kearifan lokal Minangkabau dapat terjadi melalui mata pelajaran Budaya Alam Minangkabau (BAM) atau mulok di Sumatera Barat, melalui cerita-cerita tradisional Minangkabau dan petatah petitih yang sarat dengan kearifan lokal Minangkabau mulai ditinggalkan. Hal ini menyebabkan karakter Keminangkabauan mulai menghilang dalam kepribadian generasi muda. Oleh karena itu diperlukan internalisasi pendidikan karakter berbasis kearifan lokal Minangkabau melalui mata pelajaran Budaya Alam Minangkabau (BAM) di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 23 Kecamatan IV Koto Aur Malintang Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Internalisasi pendidikan karakter berbasis kearifan lokal dalam mata pelajaran BAM ini diharapkan dapat menanggulangi degradasi moral di kalangan generasi muda saat ini. Mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal Minangkabau dalam kehidupan sehari-hari berarti turut melestarikan budaya lokal yang menjadi sumber kekayaan budaya Nasional.

Abstract

This article was written as a reflection of the community service activities of Adzkia University lecturers. This service is carried out in the context of basic level leadership training activities for the OSIS team (Intra-School Student Organization) and class leaders at Senior High School Pariangan District, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra Province, Indonesia. The topic presented was entitled "Development of Minangkabau Culture-Based Performance Character for Independence". After that, we distributed inventories to measure the quality of student leadership performance. The research method uses descriptive quantitative methods. Research inventories measure aspects of knowledge, attitudes and skills. The knowledge aspect measures the character of critical and creative performance. The attitude aspect measures of individual attitudes, social attitudes and spiritual attitudes. The skill aspect measures of communication skills, collaboration skills and digital skills. The results showed that the leadership performance of SMA Negeri 1 Pariangan students were in the "good quality" criteria. The performance character with the highest quality is found in the religious attitude performance character with the Respondent's Achievement Level of 95.66%. The critical performance character gets the lowest score but is still in the "good quality" category with the Respondent's Achievement Level of 78.19%. The measurement results explain that the leadership performance character student of Senior High School Pariangan District, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra Province, Indonesia is "good quality".

Abstract

Pendidikan dan politik adalah dua elemen penting dalam system sosial politik disetiap Negara, baik Negara maju maupun Negara berkembang. Namun pada kenyataanya politis pendidikan banyak terjadi penyelewengan oleh beberapa oknum yang terlibat sehingga berdampak buruk kepada pendidikan di Indonesia. Untuk melihat lebih lanjut kenapa terjadinya politisi pendidikan di Indonesia maka peneliti tertarik melakukan penelitian wacana untuk menjabarkan lebih lajut tentang politisi pendidikan di Indonesia. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan teks berita tentang politis pendidikan di Indonesia. Analisis data yang digunakan representasi, relasi, dan identitas. Adapaun hasil penelitiannya di dapatkan bahwa politisi pendidikan terjadi karna kurang kompaknya anatar pihak satu dengan yang lain dimana di sini terdapat tiga pihak yang berperan penting yaitu pemerintah, Lembaga pendidikan, dan Masyarakat. Dejalan dengan aliran filsafat pragmatis dimana mendukung kerjasama antara pemerintah, lembaga pendidikan, dan masyarakat untuk mencapai hasil yang lebih baik.
