Abstract

Critical Discourse Analysis in Educational Service Advertisements Study by Norman Fairclough. Thesis. This research aims to describe the linguistic features of critical discourse analysis in Educational Service Advertisements. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The qualitative descriptive method is research that produces data in the form of words or verbally. The focus of this research is critical discourse analysis at the level of analysis of educational service advertising texts which are studied using the Norman Fairclough model. The data in this research is written discourse in Educational Service Advertisements. The data collection techniques used are observation and note taking/recording. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that there are forms of AWK linguistic features in Educational Service Advertisements. The linguistic features are lexical processes, meaning relations, metaphors, euphemistic expressions, formal and informal words, positive and negative evaluation, nominalization, passification, use of positive and affirmative sentence forms, sentence modes, modality, text ordering, and control. participants. From data 1 to data 16 what was found were the linguistic features of lexical processes, meaning relations, positive sentence forms and participant affirmation and control.

Abstract

This paper discusses the implementation of transformational leadership by the Principal of Alfasihi Kindergarten (TK Alfasihi). Transformational leadership is considered crucial in creating an innovative and adaptive educational environment, particularly at the early childhood education level. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method to analyze how the Principal of TK Alfasihi applies the four dimensions of transformational leadership: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. Data were collected through observations, interviews with the principal and teachers, and document analysis. The results show that the Principal of TK Alfasihi has successfully implemented a transformational leadership style, which has had a positive impact on teacher performance, student learning motivation, and the overall organizational culture of the school. The implications of these findings provide insights into the importance of transformational leadership in enhancing the quality of early childhood education.

Abstract

Program Aksi Bersih Pantai bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan, khususnya di kawasan wisata Pantai Garassi. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan dapat mengurangi volume sampah yang mencemari pantai, memperbaiki estetika kawasan, serta mendukung keberlanjutan ekosistem pesisir. Kegiatan Aksi Bersih Pantai melibatkan berbagai elemen masyarakat, seperti komunitas, relawan, dan pemerintah setempat, yang berkolaborasi dalam kegiatan pembersihan pantai, edukasi lingkungan, serta sosialisasi mengenai dampak negatif sampah terhadap ekosistem laut dan kehidupan masyarakat pesisir. Program ini dirancang untuk menumbuhkan perubahan positif dalam perilaku dan pola pikir masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan sampah di kawasan wisata. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kualitas destinasi wisata Pantai Garassi agar menjadi lebih bersih, nyaman, dan berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, Aksi Bersih Pantai tidak hanya berfokus pada kegiatan pembersihan fisik, tetapi juga berperan sebagai sarana edukasi dan pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam menjaga kelestarian lingkungan pesisir.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the use of infographic media on the motivation to learn and comprehend news texts of grade VII students of SMP Hasanuddin Gowa. The background of this research departs from the low motivation and ability of students to understand news texts, especially in Indonesian learning which requires students to be able to analyze information critically and systematically. Infographic media was chosen as an alternative because it has attractive visual characteristics, is concise, and is able to present complex information in a more understandable way. The research method used was a pseudo-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class that obtained learning using infographic media and the control class that obtained conventional learning. Data collection techniques include learning motivation questionnaires, news text comprehension tests, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity), t-test, and MANOVA test to see the effect simultaneously. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class on the aspect of learning motivation, where the experimental class had a higher average motivation score after the use of infographic media. In addition, students' understanding of news texts in the experimental class also increased significantly compared to the control class. MANOVA's analysis strengthens the finding that infographic media has a simultaneous effect on students' motivation to learn and comprehension of news texts. Thus, this study concludes that infographic media is effectively used as a learning medium in news text materials. Infographics not only increase students' motivation to learn, but also help students understand the content of the news more comprehensively. These findings recommend the use of innovative visual media in Indonesian learning to improve the quality of students' learning processes and outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Discovery Learning learning model with the Think, Talk, Write (TTW) strategy to improve the application of narrative text writing learning in grade V students at UPT SDN 16 Bangkala, Jeneponto Regency. This research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach by adapting a 4D development model which includes the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The research instruments consisted of expert validation sheets, observations, teacher and student practicality questionnaires, and writing ability tests. The results of expert validation showed that the developed learning model was in the very feasible category, with a feasibility score of 92%. The practicality test also showed high results, namely 91% of teachers and 89% of students, which indicates that this learning model is easy to understand, easy to apply, and encourages active involvement of students in the learning process. Descriptively, the results of the pre-test and post-test illustrate a change in students' ability to write narrative texts, from an initial average score of 62.50 to 82.30 after the application of the developed learning model. Thus, this study concludes that the Discovery Learning learning model with the Think, Talk, Write strategy is feasible, practical, and has the potential to support the improvement of the writing skills of elementary school students. This model is recommended to be implemented more widely in Indonesian language learning, especially in narrative writing skills, and can be used as a reference for the development of literacy learning at the elementary education level.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country rich in diversity, and the role of religion in life remains a relevant and dynamic topic. Historically, religion has played a significant role in shaping the order of social life. The study of men and women is generally referred to as gender studies. Unlike the term sex, which focuses more on the biological differences between men and women, gender focuses more on the relationship between men and women in terms of their roles and responsibilities. Gender justice and equality are the primary objectives of this study. Gender injustice is the primary issue that becomes the topic of the problem. Gender injustice is the process of marginalization and impoverishment of women. This injustice is caused by several factors, including government policies, traditional beliefs, religious interpretations, customs, and scientific assumptions.

Abstract

Consultation (shura) is a fundamental principle in Islamic teachings that functions not only as political ethics, but also as a collective method for social and family decision-making. Although many studies highlight consultation in the context of state affairs, studies on its implementation in household dynamics are still limited. This study aims to analyze the concept and meaning of musyawarah in Surah Ali Imran (3): 159, Surah al-Syura (42): 38, and Surah al-Baqarah (2): 233 based on the interpretations of classical and contemporary exegetes, as well as analyzing the relevance and implementation of these principles in building harmony in household life. This study uses a thematic interpretation (maudhu'i) method. Data collection was conducted through library research by referring to classical and contemporary interpretation literature. The results of the study show that deliberation in the Qur'an includes the principles of gentleness, equality, mutual agreement, collective participation, and moral responsibility. Surah Ali Imran (3): 159 emphasizes the importance of gentle and communicative leadership; Surah al-Syura (42): 38 places deliberation as a key characteristic of a community of believers, including within the family environment; while Surah al-Baqarah (2):233 emphasizes deliberation as a fundamental principle in family relationships, especially between husband and wife. Abstract

This thesis examines legal issues related to village head elections, with a case study in Kota Bangun 2 Village, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The background highlights the importance of village head elections in village democracy, but the lack of attention to the village head election regime is a weakness in itself. The results of the study show that violations in Pilkades can be caused by poor supervision, such as administrative disputes and election result disputes. The factors causing Pilkades disputes include internal factors (non-neutral committees, problematic voter lists, unhealthy campaign processes, fanaticism among supporters, and lack of social control) and external factors (local government intervention, regulatory weaknesses, political and power interests, and proximity to local authorities). The mechanism for resolving Pilkades disputes is regulated in Law No. 6 of 2014 concerning Villages, Government Regulation No. 47 of 2015, Minister of Home Affairs Regulation No. 112 of 2014 in conjunction with Minister of Home Affairs Regulation No. 72 of 2020, and Kutai Kartanegara Regency Regulation No. 3 of 2015 in conjunction with Kutai Kartanegara Regency Regulation No. 3 of 2018. However, in practice, the resolution of Pilkades disputes is often not in accordance with the proper mechanisms, as was the case in the Pilkades in Kota Bangun 2 Village.

Abstract

The primary challenge of contemporary Islamic propagation (dakwah) is maintaining the relevance of the Qur'anic message amidst the changing times. This study aims to dissect a strategic formulation in the effort to revive the values of the Qur'an (Iḥyā’ Al-Qur’an) as an epistemological foundation for propagation that remains current. Through a qualitative research method with a library research approach, this study analyzes the Living Qur'an framework as a concrete manifestation of Iḥyā’ Al-Qur’an, which integrates the dimensions of text, interpretation, and the sociocultural reality of the Muslim community. The findings indicate that this approach serves as an operational "code" that translates revelation into dynamic life practices, subsequently strengthening the spiritual resilience and social cohesion of the community. Its implementation in community-based education and empowerment programs has proven capable of internalizing Qur'anic values more profoundly. Thus, the Iḥyā’ Al-Qur’an strategy offers a paradigm for sustainable propagation, where the Islamic message does not stop at knowledge transmission but undergoes a transformation into a collectively lived ethos, thereby ensuring its continuity across generations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan secara analitik tentang “Pola Gerakan Dakwah Muhammadiyah di Buton Masa Orde Lama.”. Data-data dalam penelitian ini bersumber dari hasil wawancara mendalam, pengamatan dan telaah atas sejumlah dokumen yang berkaitan dengan tema penelitian. Seluruh data dianalisis berdasarkan mekanisme dan proseudur kerja sejarah, yaitu: heuristik, kritik, intrepretasi dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan: Pertama, gerakan dakwah Muhammadiyah di Buton setelah masa kemerdekaan dimulai pada tahun 1955. Dakwah Muhammadiyah pada masa ini, focus pada upaya mencerahkan akal budi, penguatan pengamalan agama dan menjauhkan masyarakat dari prilaku bid’ah,takhyul dan khurafat. Hingga tahun 1960 pola pendekatan dakwah Muhammadiyah di Buton didominasi model dakwah bi al-lisan (verbal) dan “cenderung” bersifat reaktif terhadap tradisi keberagamaan masyarakat setempat.Kedua Memasuki awal tahun 60-an, pola bi al-lisan (verbal) berpadu dengan aksi sosial dan pemberdayaan. Yaitu memberi santunan kepada kelompok lemah dan mendirikan lembaga pendidikan mulai dari tingkat dasar hingga menengah. Capain terpuji Muhammadiyah pada tahun 1961, ketika organ ini berhassil mendirikan sekolah Pendidikan Guru Agama Pertama (PGAP) di Bau-Bau.
