Abstract

This research aims to analyze the direct and indirect effects of school principal supervision, school culture, and work motivation on teacher discipline at vocational high schools (SMKN) in Banjarmasin City. The study was motivated by preliminary observations indicating a lack of teacher discipline. This quantitative research involved a sample of 234 teachers out of a total of 563, selected through Proportional Random Sampling. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS. The results showed that school principal supervision, school culture, and work motivation have both direct and indirect effects on teacher discipline. Specifically, the effect of school principal supervision on teacher discipline is 0.283, the effect of school culture is 0.348, the effect of school principal supervision on work motivation is 0.449, and the effect of school culture on work motivation is 0.355. Indirectly, the effect of school principal supervision on teacher discipline through work motivation is 0.111, and the effect of school culture on teacher discipline through work motivation is 0.088. It is recommended that school principals maintain the quality of supervision and a positive school culture while providing relevant professional development programs to sustain teacher discipline and work motivation.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze the influence of the Principal's Transformational Leadership, Organizational Culture, Work Environment on the Performance of Public Elementary School Teachers in North Labuan Amas District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency. The research method uses a quantitative approach, correlational research design uses cross sectional techniques. The research population was 214 teachers from 28 elementary schools in LAU sub-district and 140 respondents were taken as research samples using proportional random sampling techniques. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results of data collection were analyzed using SPSS Version 25. Data analysis took the form of descriptive analysis, classical assumption testing, hypothesis testing using path analysis with the multiple regression method, and the Soebel test. The results of the analysis of the regression coefficient values ​​of the principal's transformational leadership variable on teacher performance were 0.368, the organizational culture variable on teacher performance was 0.308, the work environment variable on teacher performance was 0.251, the principal's transformational leadership variable on organizational culture was 0.629, the work environment variable on culture organization is 0.237, the principal's transformational leadership variable on teacher performance through organizational culture is 0.046 and the work environment variable on teacher performance through organizational culture is 0.022. The conclusion of this research is that the principal's transformational leadership, organizational culture, work environment and teacher performance are in the high category. There is a partial direct influence between the principal's transformational leadership, organizational culture, work environment and elementary school teacher performance in LAU District. There is an indirect influence between the principal's transformational leadership on teacher performance through organizational culture and the work environment of SDN in LAU sub-district

Abstract

This research is based on the low fine motor ability in scissors activities according to the pattern in Group B, the solution to solve this problem is by using a combination of Project Based Learning, Direct Instruction models with illustrated paper media. The purpose of this study is to describe teacher activities, children's activities and the results of children's fine motor development. The approach used is a qualitative approach with the type of Classroom Action Research (PTK) with 4 meetings. Data analysis showed that teachers' activities achieved a score of 40 with the criterion of "Excellent". The child's activity achieved a score of 90% with the criterion of "Very Active", and the results of fine motor development reached a score of 90% with the criterion of "Successfully Developing". Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning, Direct Instruction model with illustrated paper media can increase teacher activities, children's activities, and children's fine motor development. So this research can make learning innovations in the selection of the right models and media to develop scissor skills according to patterns. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan motorik halus pada kegiatan menggunting sesuai pola pada Kelompok B solusi pemecahan masalah ini yaitu dengan menggunakan kombinasi model Project Based Learning, Direct Instruction dengan media kertas bergambar. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan aktivtas guru, aktivitas anak dan hasil perkembangan motorik halus. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan 4 kali pertemuan. Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas guru mencapai skor 40 dengan kriteria “Sangat Baik”. Aktivitas anak mencapai skor 90% dengan kriteria “Sangat Aktif”, dan hasil perkembangan motorik halus mencapai skor 90% dengan kriteria “Berhasil Berkembang”. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Project Based Learning, Direct Instruction dengan media kertas bergambar dapat meningkatkan aktivitas guru, aktivtas anak, perkembangan motorik halus anak. Maka penelitian ini dapat menjadikan inovasi pembelajaran dalam pemilihan model serta media yang tepat untuk mengembangkan keterampilan menggunting sesuai pola.

Abstract

The phenomenon that occurs at this time, students tend to spend their time on entertainment matters only compared to academic matters, this is a problem for students who like to delay doing school work. Academic procrastination may continue to increase each year, therefore this study aims to determine the picture of self-regulation, peer conformity, and academic procrastination, as well as to determine the contribution between self regulation and peer-to-peer conformity to academic procrastination using quantitative approaches with this type of contribution research. The data collection tool used a series and the sampling technique was simple random sampling. So there are 98 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 25 Banjarmasin as the research sample. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistics, simple linear regression, and multiple linear regression. The results of the study stated that grade VIII students had moderate academic self-regulation and procrastination, while peer conformity was in the high category. Then the results of the study stated that there was a contribution between self-regulation and peer conformity to academic procrastination with a value of sig 0.000 <0.05. In other words, students who have moderate self-regulation and high peer conformity in students will tend to do academic procrastination.

Abstract

Evaluasi sistem pendidikan berbasis Rapor Pendidikan merupakan inisiatif strategis pemerintah untuk mendorong peningkatan mutu satuan pendidikan secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesiapan kepala sekolah dasar di Kota Banjarmasin dalam mengimplementasikan evaluasi tersebut. Menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui angket yang diisi oleh 85 kepala sekolah. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan kepala sekolah tergolong cukup baik, dengan rerata tertinggi pada aspek pemahaman kebijakan (4,12) dan kepemimpinan instruksional. Sebaliknya, aspek sarana dan prasarana memperoleh skor terendah (3,51), menjadi kendala utama dalam pelaksanaan evaluasi yang menyeluruh. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya peningkatan dukungan infrastruktur dan pelatihan yang lebih adaptif. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap penguatan kapasitas kepala sekolah dalam mendayagunakan data mutu pendidikan serta mendorong kolaborasi antara pemerintah pusat dan daerah dalam ekosistem evaluasi pendidikan nasional.

Abstract

Rendahnya kecakapan sosial-emosional anak dalam mematuhi peraturan kelas disebabkan karena metode pengajaran yang kurang menarik, monoton, satu arah, dan abstrak. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, yaitu menggunakan model Cooperative Learning, metode bercerita, serta metode reward and punishment. Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru dan anak, serta menganalisis perkembangan aspek sosial-emosional anak dalam konteks kepatuhan terhadap aturan kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis PTK sebanyak tiga kali pertemuan. Lokasi penelitian bertempat di TK Rahayu Banjarmasin, dengan subjek penelitian berupa 15 orang anak dari kelompok B. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui metode observasi, yang selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aktivitas guru dengan kategori sangat baik pada pertemuan ketiga. Aktivitas anak mencapai 100% pada pertemuan ketiga. Perkembangan sosial-emosional anak mencapai 100% pada pertemuan ketiga. Penggunaan kombinasi metode reward and punishment, bercerita, dan model Cooperative Learning terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas guru, partisipasi anak, dan perkembangan sosial-emosional peserta didik. Disarankan hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif metode pengajaran untuk mengembangkan kecakapan sosial-emosional anak.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the planning of educational facilities and infrastructure needs at PKBM Al Ghoutsillah as a strategic effort to enhance the quality of education. Adequate facilities and infrastructure are essential components in creating an effective learning environment and supporting the achievement of educational objectives. This research employs a qualitative approach with data collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving administrators, tutors, and learners. The findings reveal that the planning process is carried out through identifying learner needs, mapping curriculum requirements, and evaluating the condition of existing facilities. Despite facing financial limitations and resource constraints, PKBM Al Ghoutsillah strives to meet the minimum standards of learning facilities by optimizing internal resources, prioritizing procurement based on urgency, and establishing collaborations with various partners. The study shows that structured and adaptive planning contributes to improved student engagement, increased learning effectiveness, and better overall educational service quality. Furthermore, the research provides significant implications for PKBM management development, particularly in strengthening procurement policies, facility maintenance strategies, and collaborative initiatives to support the sustainability of non-formal education services.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the instructional supervision program at SMAN 5 Banjarmasin by examining its execution quality, feedback effectiveness, and the extent to which follow-up actions support improvements in teachers’ classroom practices. Data were collected through interviews with the principal, teachers, and supervisors, classroom observations, and an analysis of supervision documents. The findings indicate that supervision has contributed to enhancing teacher reflection and lesson planning; however, it has not consistently led to sustained changes in teaching practices. The supervision process remains largely administrative, offering limited opportunities for pedagogical guidance, deep reflection, and collaborative problem-solving. Differences in stakeholders’ perceptions and irregular observation schedules further reduce the consistency and quality of supervision. Moreover, follow-up actions after supervision are insufficiently structured, resulting in only a small proportion of recommendations being implemented by teachers. These findings align with existing literature emphasizing the importance of dialogic supervision, ongoing coaching, and systematic monitoring to ensure that professional development translates into classroom practice. The study recommends strengthening supervisors’ competencies, utilizing more comprehensive observation instruments, and adopting evaluation models such as CIPP to ensure that supervision functions as a professional learning process rather than a procedural requirement. With these improvements, the supervision program is expected to play a more effective role in enhancing teaching quality and supporting continuous teacher development. Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the influence of transformational leadership of school principals, work climate, and work commitment on teacher performance in public elementary schools across Pulau Petak District. The research problem focuses on understanding how leadership and organizational factors influence teacher performance both directly and indirectly, with work commitment as a mediating factor, and the objective is to examine both direct and indirect effects among variables, highlighting the role of work commitment in mediating the relationship between leadership, work climate, and teacher performance. The research employed a quantitative approach using path analysis to test the hypotheses. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using regression tests and Sobel tests. The findings reveal that (1) transformational leadership, work climate, work commitment, and teacher performance are all in the good category; (2) transformational leadership, work climate, and work commitment have direct effects on teacher performance; (3) transformational leadership and work climate have direct effects on work commitment; and (4) transformational leadership and work climate indirectly affect teacher performance through work commitment. These results indicate that teacher performance is influenced not only directly by leadership and work climate but also indirectly through work commitment, emphasizing the importance of transformational leadership and a supportive work climate in strengthening teachers’ commitment and enhancing their performance.
