Abstract

This research is motivated by the moral crisis among Indonesian youth, characterized by high rates of violence, bullying, and value degradation within educational environments. While moral education in Islam is central to forming a complete human being, its implementation faces significant contemporary challenges. This study aims to analyze the moral education values from Imam Al-Ghazali’s perspective in the book Bidayatul Hidayah and determine their relevance to national character education in Indonesia. The research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, utilizing Bidayatul Hidayah as primary data and relevant literature as secondary sources, analyzed through descriptive-analytical techniques. The results indicate that Bidayatul Hidayah contains fundamental moral values covering relations with God (habl min Allah), oneself, and society (habl min al-nas), emphasizing the process of tazkiyatun nafs (soul purification) by integrating knowledge and practice. Furthermore, these values demonstrate strong conceptual, methodological, and socio-cultural relevance to Indonesia's national character education. The study concludes that Al-Ghazali’s moral values can serve as a practical and conceptual reinforcement for national character education, recommending their integration to foster students with noble character and spiritual maturity.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning media at SMP Negeri 1 Sekampung and analyze its impact on learning effectiveness and student motivation. The research is driven by the urgent need for pedagogical innovation to create interactive and contextual learning experiences that align with the digital generation's characteristics. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving school principals, PAI teachers, and students. The results indicate that integrating AI platforms such as Kahoot, Quizizz, and ChatGPT significantly increases student engagement and personalizes their understanding of Islamic concepts. The implementation follows a systematic process of integrating AI into lesson plans, interactive delivery, and automated evaluation providing instant feedback. Despite benefits, challenges such as infrastructure limitations, unstable internet, and the need for enhanced teacher digital competence were identified. In conclusion, AI-based media holds transformative potential to improve PAI learning quality, provided it is supported by adequate infrastructure, teacher training, and a strong emphasis on maintaining spiritual and moral values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the pedagogical strategies employed by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in building noble character (akhlakul karimah) among students at SMA Riyadlul Ulum Sukoharjo, North Lampung, as a response to the growing phenomenon of moral degradation among adolescents. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive approach with a phenomenological design, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the principal and PAI teachers, and documentation study. The findings reveal an integrated implementation of five core instructional strategies: (1) direct instruction through interactive lectures and role modeling; (2) indirect instruction via religious culture habituation; (3) interactive instruction through reflective group discussions; (4) independent study using daily moral journals; and (5) experiential learning through social activities and student organizations. These strategies effectively fostered discipline, honesty, and responsibility, supported by a strong school culture, although social media remained a primary inhibiting factor. The study concludes that the synergy of these five pedagogical approaches provides a holistic framework for internalizing moral values, transforming them from abstract concepts into daily behavioral habits. These results imply that character building in secondary schools requires a collaborative ecosystem between structured teaching, personal reflection, and real-world practice to effectively address modern moral challenges.

Abstract

Learning of Al-Qur'an Hadith in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah still tends to be textual, so students' understanding of the meaning of the verses is often less contextual and meaningful. This study aims to describe teacher professionalism in developing innovative, environment-based learning media through the use of a herbarium. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that teacher professionalism is reflected in two main activities: planning and environmental exploration based on Qur'anic verses, as well as the preparation and presentation of herbaria as contextual learning media. The use of herbarium media was able to improve students' cognitive understanding, foster affective attitudes such as gratitude and environmental awareness, and develop psychomotor skills through the activities of compiling and presenting their work. This media has advantages because it is contextual, economical, and increases students' active involvement. However, it requires a relatively longer time and depends on the environmental conditions around the madrasah. It is recommended that teachers at MINU continue to develop environment-based learning media and combine them with other innovations to enrich meaningful Al-Qur'an Hadith learning that is oriented toward character building.

Abstract

Learning classical Islamic texts at Tri Bhakti Attaqwa Islamic Boarding School still faces various challenges, particularly in students’ ability to read unvowelled Arabic texts and understand the content independently. Differences in students’ basic abilities also become obstacles in the learning process. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the sorogan method in improving students’ understanding of classical Islamic texts from the perspective of Lev S. Vygotsky’s sociocultural theory. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects consisted of female teachers and students participating in sorogan learning activities. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing using triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The findings indicate that the sorogan method effectively improves students’ ability to read, translate, and understand classical Islamic texts gradually. The learning process reflects the concepts of zone of proximal development (ZPD) and scaffolding, where students develop through direct and gradual guidance from teachers. In addition to improving cognitive abilities, the sorogan method also fosters students’ independence, discipline, and responsibility in learning. Therefore, the sorogan method remains relevant as an effective learning approach for classical Islamic texts in line with modern developmental learning theory. ABSTRAK Pembelajaran kitab kuning di Pondok Pesantren Tri Bhakti Attaqwa masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, terutama dalam kemampuan santri membaca teks Arab tanpa harakat dan memahami isi kitab secara mandiri. Perbedaan kemampuan dasar antar santri juga menjadi kendala dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi metode sorogan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman santri terhadap kitab kuning berdasarkan perspektif teori sosiokultural Lev S. Vygotsky. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas ustadzah dan santri yang mengikuti kegiatan sorogan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan teknik triangulasi untuk menjamin keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode sorogan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan santri membaca, menerjemahkan, dan memahami isi kitab kuning secara bertahap. Proses pembelajaran mencerminkan konsep zone of proximal development (ZPD) dan scaffolding, di mana santri berkembang melalui bimbingan langsung dan bertahap dari ustadzah. Selain meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif, metode sorogan juga membentuk kemandirian, disiplin, dan tanggung jawab santri dalam belajar. Dengan demikian, metode sorogan tetap relevan sebagai metode pembelajaran kitab kuning yang sesuai dengan perspektif teori perkembangan modern.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) pada materi Sirah Nabawiyah dalam pembentukan akhlak karimah peserta didik di SDN 24 Negeri Katon Pesawaran, dengan fokus pada aspek perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan (field research). Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan melibatkan 1 kepala sekolah, 1 guru PAI, dan 12 peserta didik sebagai informan. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, dengan uji keabsahan melalui triangulasi sumber, teknik, dan member check. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Sirah Nabawiyah berkontribusi dalam pembentukan akhlak karimah, khususnya pada aspek kejujuran, tanggung jawab, dan sopan santun yang mengalami peningkatan secara signifikan, meskipun aspek kedisiplinan masih relatif rendah. Metode storytelling yang dipadukan dengan diskusi dan tanya jawab terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan peserta didik serta mendorong internalisasi nilai melalui pengalaman belajar yang kontekstual. Keterbatasan media pembelajaran dan alokasi waktu menjadi kendala utama yang menghambat optimalisasi proses refleksi dan penguatan nilai. Evaluasi pembelajaran telah mencakup aspek kognitif dan afektif, meskipun masih memerlukan pengembangan instrumen penilaian sikap yang lebih terstruktur. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pembelajaran Sirah Nabawiyah tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai transmisi pengetahuan, tetapi juga sebagai mekanisme pembentukan karakter yang efektif, dengan catatan perlunya penguatan pada aspek media, waktu, dan evaluasi pembelajaran.

Abstract

The implementation of the Independent Curriculum (Curriculum Merdeka) is a form of educational transformation in Indonesia, emphasizing student-centered learning, strengthening competencies, and providing more space for teachers to develop innovative learning strategies. In its implementation, the Independent Curriculum requires the use of learning media that can create an active, creative, and enjoyable learning environment. The purpose of this study is to identify the use of smart TVs in supporting the Independent Curriculum, thus providing an overview of the implementation process, supporting factors, obstacles encountered, and its contribution to the implementation of learning in schools.This research method uses a qualitative approach with field research, aiming to deeply understand the implementation of smart TVs as a learning medium to support the independent learning curriculum at Al-Qur'an Tri Bhakti Attaqwa Middle School. This qualitative field research was chosen so that the researcher could directly visit the research location, observe, and understand the phenomena that occur naturally and contextually. The implementation of Smart TV as a learning medium to support the Independent Curriculum has been successful and has made a positive contribution to the learning process. Smart TVs can help teachers deliver material in a more engaging, interactive, and easily understood way for students. Although the school currently only has one Smart TV, its utilization can still be optimized through a well-organized system of alternating use between classes. Smart TVs have several advantages, including :Increased student activity during process learning, mens how that Smart TV is able to encourage student involvement in the learning process. However, in its implementation there are several obstacles faced. One of them isthe other one istendency to rely on the presentation of material via Smart TV. Thus, this study recommends various variations in learning methods by teachers and is able to make a good contribution to supporting and making the independent curriculum a success in an active, innovative and appropriate manner to the development of educational technology in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran guru dalam implementasi Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta di MIN 1 Lampung Tengah serta mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pelaksanaannya. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pendidikan karakter dalam menghadapi berbagai permasalahan moral dan sosial peserta didik di era modern. Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta diterapkan sebagai pendekatan pendidikan yang menanamkan nilai kasih sayang, kepedulian, toleransi, dan hubungan harmonis antara guru dan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan (field research). Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan kepala madrasah, guru, dan dokumen pendukung. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memiliki peran penting sebagai pendidik, pembimbing, motivator, fasilitator, dan teladan dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik. Implementasi Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta dilakukan melalui pembiasaan budaya 5S (senyum, salam, sapa, sopan, santun), kegiatan keagamaan, pendekatan humanis, dan komunikasi yang penuh kasih sayang. Faktor pendukung implementasi kurikulum meliputi dukungan kepala madrasah, kerja sama antar guru, kegiatan keagamaan, dan lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif. Adapun faktor penghambat meliputi perbedaan karakter peserta didik, pengaruh lingkungan luar sekolah, kurangnya perhatian sebagian orang tua, serta tuntutan administrasi dan target akademik guru. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan kerja sama antara sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat agar implementasi Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta dapat berjalan secara optimal dalam membentuk peserta didik yang berkarakter dan berakhlak mulia.

Abstract

Islamic This research examines the application of the Taqlid method in teaching Mahfudzot to female students in class 1 Intensive B at KMI Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Putri 8. This method emphasizes repetition and imitation, where female students imitate the teacher's pronunciation directly before understanding the meaning in depth. The learning stages include conveying vocabulary, explaining the material, and repeating verses until the students are able to memorize them well. The research results show that the Taqlid method has a number of advantages, such as making the memorization process easier, increasing understanding, and fostering enthusiasm for learning. However, this method also faces obstacles, such as limited time, difficulty in maintaining student concentration, and problems such as feeling sleepy during learning. However, the Taqlid method has proven effective in helping female students master Mahfudzot, an important subject that contains advice and moral values. This research emphasizes the importance of structured teaching strategies and the need for solutions to overcome obstacles in implementing this method. With optimization, the Taqlid method can be an effective approach to improving learning outcomes, character formation and academic readiness of female students.
