Abstract

Today's society thinks more realistically and critically in choosing educational institutions for their families. Therefore, educational institutions, through the principal as a manager, must carry out their duties with a transformative leadership style so that the positive image of the school increases so that it becomes the community's first choice to send their families to the school. This study presents a transformative leadership strategy for improving the school's image so that it exists amid competition between educational institutions. This research uses a qualitative case study approach. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews, and documentation. The object of this research is Islamic Senior High School of Nurul Jadid. The results showed that: Transformative leadership can create and enhance a positive image of the school where the positive image of Islamic Senior High School of Nurul Jadid can be seen from the achievements in academic and non-academic fields; The strategy used by the principal in improving the positive image of Islamic Senior High School of Nurul Jadid is by empowering and increasing the discipline of all school members which in its implementation is influenced by supporting factors, namely academic achievement, pleasing personality, and high socialization while the inhibiting factor is the lack of awareness of new teachers in educating students.

Abstract

This research was conducted to present the principal's assertive behaviour in creating a superior school. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The research site is Madrasah Ibtida'iyah Nurul Mun’im Paiton Probolinggo. The results showed that the principal's proactive behaviour in creating an excellent school at Madrasah Ibtida'iyah Nurul Munim Paiton Probolinggo was indicated by the behaviour of providing information; searching for information; giving an opinion; reflecting the message content; giving criticism or praise; accepting criticism or praise; Express feelings; and share feelings. In terms of capabilities, the head of Madrasah Ibtida'iyah Nurul Mun'im Paiton Probolinggo is proven in the form of an attitude of consistency and idealism in deciding and implementing policies; and a person who is honest and open to others so that he becomes a respected and authoritative person. Based on the research, the principal's assertive behaviour can create a superior school through the principal's proactive behaviour, which is romantic, consistent and respectful towards others.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of blended learning management in developing students' soft skills in the new normal era. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The location of this research is MI Raudlatul Jannah I Maron Probolinggo Data collection is done with primary and secondary data. Preliminary data were obtained through in-depth interviews and observation. At the same time, secondary data is obtained through documents and learning tools. The results showed that the application of blended learning management at MI Raudlatul Jannah I consisted of planning, implementing, and evaluating. The application of blended learning in the new normal era can develop students' soft skills in four aspects, namely discipline, honesty, attitude, and communicativeness.
