Abstract

Mathematical concepts understanding at the elementary school level is often hampered by the abstract and lack of contextual nature of the material. This study aims to theoretically analyze the role of manipulative media in improving mathematical concept understanding and active student engagement. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive analysis approach to various academic sources from the last ten years (2015-2025). The findings indicate that manipulative media functions as a cognitive bridge that transforms abstract concepts into concrete experiences through tactile and motor interactions. The integration of manipulative media with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model has been shown to improve memory retention, reduce mathematical anxiety, and strengthen students' problem-solving skills. This study also highlights the transformation of manipulative media from physical to digital forms, such as GeoGebra and AI-based simulations, which offer greater flexibility in modern learning. The novelty of this article lies in the complementary synthesis of physical and digital media within the framework of Piaget's and Vygotsky's constructivist theories. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the use of adaptive and innovative manipulative media is a primary prerequisite for creating meaningful mathematics learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of digital literacy in responding to the threat of radicalism in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at the secondary school level. Using a qualitative case study approach across several schools in Bondowoso, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings show that digital literacy is not only related to technical skills but also encompasses critical awareness of how to select and evaluate religious information to avoid exposure to radical ideologies. Islamic education teachers play a crucial role by curating digital content, using interactive media, and facilitating reflective discussions to instill the values of religious moderation. The challenges identified include limited infrastructure, uneven digital competence among teachers, and insufficient support for school policies. Overall, the integration of digital literacy into Islamic Religious Education plays a strategic role in shaping critical, tolerant, and moderate attitudes as a preventive measure against radicalism in educational settings.

Abstract

The development of digital technology encourages the birth of new innovations in the field of fashion design, one of which is through the use of Quick Response (QR) Code as an information medium and visual elements. This innovation not only serves as a means of accessing information, but also has the potential to enrich user experience, and innovative value in fashion products. This study aims to analyze the perception of Fashion Designers students towards the innovation of implementing QR Code in Argenta Nala fashion design, by reviewing the aspects of ease of use, readability, completeness of information, user experience, and clarity of appearance. The study uses a quantitative approach with a percentage descriptive method. Data was collected through the distribution of a closed questionnaire based on the Likert scale to Fashion Designers students who had taken the Tailoring course as research respondents by calculating the percentage of data to find out the respondents' perception tendencies. The results of the study show that the application of QR Code in Argenta Nala fashion design received positive perceptions from students, with a good to very good rating category on all indicators assessed with an average percentage of 92%. QR Codes are considered easy to use, easy to scan, able to present clear information, and provide an experience to users without overriding fashion aesthetics. This study concludes that QR Code has great potential to be developed into an effective information and product recognition medium in the development of technology-based designs that are functional and user experience-oriented, especially in the context of Fashion Design.
