Abstract

The preservation of Kompangan art is generally carried out in the original area of Jambi. The rapid development of settlements, especially in the central area of offices, trade and education, needs to be balanced with the development of local culture so that there is no shift in cultural values. In response to this, the Jambi University LPM through the implementing team provided assistance to the community in empowering the potential to preserve the Kompangan arts and culture of the Jambi region. The service method used is socialization and collaboration. From this service activity, the community's potential in preserving Kompangan art was obtained, namely (1) there was 19.23 per cent of children and adolescents were interested and 50 per cent were very interested in learning and practicing kompangan art; (2) availability of adequate trainers; (3) there is potential for financing sourced from community infaq and shodaqoh; (4) receive support both morally and materially from the community. From these various potentials, a Kompangan arts institution was formed in Mendalo Indah village with the name "Compangan Al Banna Group" as a place for fostering and training kompangan arts for children and adolescents.

Abstract

There are still many teachers who have not used technology as a learning resource for students. This causes the teaching materials that students have less attractive. This study aims to see the product's feasibility, namely a digital book on macroeconomic material. The feasibility of the digital-book is divided into two, namely, the feasibility of the experts and the feasibility of the sample (students). This research is an R&D type with the selected development model, namely the ADDIE development model. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling with a sample of 36 active students of an economic education study program. There are 3 data collection instruments used, including media and material expert validation instruments with ten statements and student response instruments totalling 28 statements. Analysis of the data used in the form of descriptive statistics. The results of material validation for both validators were 42 (very good) and 37 (good), then for media experts, scores were 38 (good) and 39 (good), while for student responses to the material aspect, a score of 29.25 (recommended) was obtained. , the media aspect is 52.5 (highly recommended), the output aspect is 9.75 (recommended), and for all aspects, 91.5 (highly recommended). Based on the results obtained from the validation and small group trials, digital books on macroeconomic material are appropriate to be used as complementary learning resources in macroeconomics lectures.

Abstract

creatively processing Jambi batik patchwork into home décor products and improves economic welfare. The initiative provides women with essential skills to produce valuable home décor items such as decorative cushions, tablecloths, and wall art from batik patchwork, a material traditionally considered textile waste. The program focuses on processing batik scraps into home décor products for wall hangings. By focusing on design, production, and digital marketing skills, the program fosters economic independence and strengthens the role of women in the local economy. The purpose of this service activity is to provide training and skills to Jambi Malay tribe women to produce home decor from batik scraps and transform batik scraps into home decor products with high added value to increase product competitiveness, develop and promote local product culture, and increase economic income. The results of the service showed practical skills, increased income, self-confidence, and social status of the participants. This sustainable approach promotes environmental conservation and supports local economic resilience, proving the long-term positive impact of empowering women in the creative industry on community welfare.

Abstract

Self-regulated learning has been believed by several studies as one of the determinants of successful learning characterized by good academic performance. In fact, many learners are not able to regulate themselves optimally to stay motivated and consistent in learning. Therefore, this study aims to explore the influence of seven dimensions of learning environment on students' self-regulated learning. A cross-sectional research design was used in this study. Data were obtained from 419 4th semester students using a questionnaire packaged in the form of googleform. Data analysis in this study used Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings in this study are involvement, investigation, task orientation, cooperation and equity have little effect on students' self-regulated learning. Meanwhile, lecture support and student cohesiveness proved to have no influence. Therefore, a learning environment that is able to create involvement, investigation, task orientation, cooperation and equity in the classroom learning process plays an important role in developing students' self-regulated learning ability.  These findings certainly provide a strong empirical basis for educational institutions to design appropriate interventions, develop relevant curricula, and create a conducive academic atmosphere to equip students with essential skills as adaptive lifelong learners who are ready to face global challenges.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Locus of Control dan Adversity quotient terhadap Kesiapan Kerja Pada Mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial Universitas Jambi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah angkatan 2017 yang berjumlah 129 mahasiswa, penentuan pengambilan sampel menggunakan rumus slovin dengan jumlah sampel 97 mahasiswa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan Angket. Analisi data menggunakan analisis statistic deskriptif dan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil analisis deskriptif diperoleh bahwa variabel locus of control dalam katagori rendah, Variabel adversity quotient dalam katagori rendah, dan variabel Kesiapan Kerja dalam katagori rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh secara bersamaan Locus of control dan Adversity quotient terhadap Kesiapan Kerja hal ini dilihat dari hasil uji F yang diperoleh diperoleh nilai Fhitung 8,021 lebih besar dari Ftabel 3,09, dengan nilai probabilitas sig 0,001 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Kemudian presentasi sumbangan pengaruh variabel pengaruh variabel Locus of control (X1) dan Adversity Quotient (X2) terhadap kualitas Kesiapan Kerja (Y) sebesar 14,6%, sisanya 85,4% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh Locus of control dan Adversity quotient terhadap Kesiapan Kerja pada Mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial Universitas Jambi.

Abstract

To determine the success of the education program, high-quality test instruments are necessary, namely those that are valid, reliable, have a sufficiently good level of difficulty, and can differentiate between the learning outcomes of proficient and non-proficient students. Ideally, these questions should be prepared by economics teachers. In reality, however, many teachers generally do not know how to prepare good questions. This is closely related to teachers' activities, which have been primarily focused on meeting learning targets alone. This is the source of the problem because teachers are rarely given the opportunity to prepare high-quality questions. To address this issue, this Professional Development Program (PPM) is implemented. The main target of the activity is teachers from Vocational High School 6 in Jambi City, with a total of 20 participants. The expected outcome of the training is that participants can compose questions that meet quality standards. The training results show that the average knowledge score of participants regarding item analysis before the training is 61.50, and after the training, it increases to an average score of 80. This indicates an increase in knowledge scores by 30.08%. In general, participants are now able to manually conduct item analysis effectively, but some still face difficulties in analyzing question validity, reliability, and distractor analysis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan ilmu pengetahuan sosial 2021 yang memiliki prestasi belajar yang baik namun tidak berminat melanjutkan studi s2. Dan banyaknya mahasiswa jurusan PIPS angkatan 2021 mempertimbangkan untuk minat melanjut studi s2 dengan ekonomi keluarganya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh setiap variabel yaitu Prestasi Belajar dan Ekonomi Keluarga terhadap minat Melanjutkan Studi s2 pada Mahasiswa Jurusan PIPS Angkatan 2021 Universitas Jambi. Berdasarkan analisis regresi, ditemukan bahwa Prestasi Belajar (X1) memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Minat Melanjutkan Studi S2 (Y)  dengan thitung sebesar 5,711 dan nilai signifikan 0,000. Sementara itu, Ekonomi Keluarga (X2) tidak memiliki pengaruh positif secara parsial terhadap Minat Melanjutkan Studi S2, dengan thitung sebesar -11,824 dan nilai signifikan 0,000. Selain itu, analisis simultan menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel independen secara bersama-sama memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap variable dependen dengan nilai Fhitung sebesar 115,371 dan nilai signifikan 0,000.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa kelas XI di SMAN 11 Tebo. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis faktor, penelitian ini melibatkan 118 siswa yang dipilih secara acak dari populasi berjumlah 148 siswa. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui angket berbasis skala Likert yang telah diuji kelayakannya, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO), uji Bartlett’s Test of Sphericity, serta teknik rotasi Varimax untuk mengidentifikasi struktur faktor yang paling signifikan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya tiga faktor utama yang berkontribusi terhadap munculnya perilaku prokrastinasi akademik, yaitu faktor kesiapan belajar, faktor gangguan konsentrasi saat belajar, dan faktor dukungan maupun distraksi dalam konteks akademik. Di antara ketiga faktor tersebut, kesiapan belajar muncul sebagai faktor paling dominan yang memengaruhi tingkat prokrastinasi siswa. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa peningkatan motivasi belajar, kemampuan pengelolaan waktu, serta penciptaan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif memiliki peran penting dalam menurunkan kecenderungan prokrastinasi akademik. Dengan demikian, hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi dasar bagi guru, konselor sekolah, dan pihak terkait lainnya dalam merancang intervensi yang lebih efektif untuk mengatasi prokrastinasi pada peserta didik.

Abstract

This study examines the role of digitalization in enhancing the competitiveness of traditional cakes produced by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) owned and managed by Malay Jambi women, as part of the creative economy. The objective is to examine how social media platforms and user-friendly design tools contribute to enhancing product innovation, marketing, and business sustainability. Employing a Design-Based Research (DBR) approach with mixed methods, the study involved 30 female entrepreneurs engaged in traditional cake businesses in Jambi. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and surveys, followed by quantitative analysis using t-tests. The results indicate that digitalization, particularly the use of Instagram for promotion and Canva for packaging design, significantly improves product visibility, consumer appeal, and market access. Innovations in packaging and presentation strengthen customer engagement and increase sales. The findings conclude that digital-based product development empowers women entrepreneurs to overcome market limitations and contributes to local economic resilience. This research contributes by providing a new empirical model for integrating cultural heritage with digital transformation. Theoretically, the study expands our understanding of how digitalization can function not only as a business strategy but also as a catalyst for women's empowerment and the development of a sustainable creative economy within local socio-cultural contexts.
