Abstract

Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) is one alternative as a substitute for corn in rations, it is known that the nutrient content of sorghum is not much different from the nutrition of corn. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of sorghum use as a substitute for corn in the ration on the weight of the carcass part and what percentage of sorghum substitution level had an effect on the weight of the carcass parts. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications. In each replication using 3 CP 707 broiler chickens aged 2 weeks with homogeneous body weight. The treatment is R0 (control ration without sorghum use), R1 (ration + 7% use of sorghum), R2 (ration + 14% use of sorghum), R3 (ration + 21% use of sorghum), R4 (ration + 28% use of sorghum). Variables observed were weight of the chest, weight of the wing, weight of the thigh, weight of the back. The results showed that the use of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) as a substitute for corn at all levels had no significant effect on all parts of the carcass of broiler aged six weeks and the level of use of 21% sorghum tended to increase the weight of the carcass parts.

Abstract

Poultry commodities that have the greatest potential to be developed are broiler chickens, because the growth is so fast that the maintenance period is relatively short. One important environmental factor to pay attention is maintenance management, especially housing. High cage density causes chicken body weight gain to be smaller compared to low cage density, so research needs to be done to find out how much the ideal density of cage. The research design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 3 replications. P1 is 8 chickens/m2, P2 (10 chickens/m2), and P3 (12 chickens/m2). There are 9 cages and 90 broilers used. The level of cage density gave no significant effect (P>0.05) on the weight and percentage of carcass parts of broilers aged 5 weeks. of all the variables, there was a tendency for an increase in yield in the treatment of cage density of 10 m2/broiler chickens maintained for 5 weeks (P>0.05). From the results of this study it can be concluded that the density of the cage has no effect on the weight and percentage of carcass parts of broiler chickens aged 5 weeks. It can also be recommended to farmers to use cage density of 12 chickens/m2 in the maintenance of broiler chickens aged 5 weeks because they are still able to produce weight and percentage of good carcass parts

Abstract

The provision of adequate quality and quantity rations is expected to increase the productivity of broiler chickens. One effort to improve ration quality is to add chicken feather flour in the making of rations, because chicken feather flour is rich in crude protein. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving chicken feather flour in broiler rations aged 2-5 weeks to the growth of broiler chickens and to find out how much the level of chicken feather flour can give the results of body weight gain, final body weight, feed consumption and feed conversion. best. This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. Each test used 4 CP 707 broilers aged 2 weeks with homogeneous body weight. The four treatments were ration without chicken feather content as a control and ration containing chicken feather flour 2%, 4%, and 6%. The parameters observed were body weight gain, final body weight, feed consumption, and FCR (Feed Conversion Ratio). The data obtained were analyzed by analysis of variance. If between treatments showed a real effect, then proceed with the smallest real distance test from Duncan (Steel and Torie, 1989). From the results of this study it can be concluded that the provision of chicken feather flour in broiler chicken rations had a significant effect on body weight gain and final body weight, but gave no significant effect on initial body weight, FCR and ration consumption.

Abstract

The provision of adequate quality and quantity rations is expected to increase the productivity of the quail. One of the efforts to improve the quality of the ration is by adding fermented bean sprouts waste flour to the ration making, because fermented bean sprouts waste flour is rich in crude protein. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving fermented bean sprouts flour waste in the ration on the appearance of female quail and to determine at what level the provision of fermented bean sprouts flour waste in the ration had the greatest effect on the appearance of female quail. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. Each test used 3 female quail with homogeneous body weight. The four treatments were rations without fermented bean sprouts flour waste as a control and rations containing 5%, 10%, and 15% fermented bean sprouts flour. The parameters observed were initial body weight, body weight gain, final body weight, feed consumption, and FCR (Feed Conversion Ratio). The data obtained were analyzed by analysis of variance. If between treatments shows a significant effect, then proceed with the smallest real distance test from Duncan (Steel and Torie, 1991). Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that the addition of fermented bean sprouts flour in the grower-layer phase of female quail ration has an insignificant effect on all variables such as initial body weight, body weight gain, final body weight, ration consumption and FCR (Feed Converstion Ratio).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of adding fermented banana peel flour in the ration to the physical composition of native chicken carcasses. Design used in this study was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 3 replications, while. The treatments were R0 (Native Chicken that was not given fermented banana peel flour), R1 (Native chicken fed a ration containing 2.5% of fermented banana peel flour), R2 ( Native Chicken fed a ration containing 5% fermented banana peel flour) R3 (Native chickens were given a ration containing 7.5% fermented banana peel flour) and R4 (Native chickens were given a 10% fermented banana peel flour). Ration fermented banana peel flour had a significant effect (P<0.05) on meat weight, skin and subcutaneous fat on the thigh chart, while the effect was not significant (P>0.05) on the weight of meat, bone, skin and subcutaneous fat of the chest and thigh bones

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving fermented rice bran in the ration on the performance of male quail aged 2-7 weeks and to determine the level of fermented rice bran could produce the average initial body weight, body weight gain, final body weight, feed consumption and FCR ratio. The study was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications. Each replication consisted of 3 male quails so that the number of male quails used was 45. As for the treatment as follows, the ration without the content of fermented rice bran as a control and the ration of fermented rice bran 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%. Parameters observed were initial body weight, weight gain, final body weight, feed consumption, and FCR (Feed Conversion Ratio). The data obtained were analyzed for variance. From the results of this study, the provision of fermented rice bran in commercial rations of male quail feed in the grower-finisher phase showed significantly different results (P<0.05) on final body weight, body weight gain, feed consumption, and FCR. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that male quail breeders use fermented rice bran at a level of 20% in the ration because this level shows good results compared to the performance of male quail at a treatment level of 0% without fermented rice bran.
