Abstract

E-commerce plays an essential role in supporting young entrepreneurs by providing easier access to markets, lower business costs, and wider opportunities for innovation. However, there is still a gap between theories of digital entrepreneurship and real practices, as many young entrepreneurs face challenges such as limited digital literacy, funding, and business management skills. This study aims to analyze how e-commerce influences the growth and sustainability of young entrepreneurship and to identify the main factors that support or hinder their success. Using a systematic literature review based on PRISMA guidelines, this research reviewed studies published between 2015 and 2024 from Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar. The analysis used three main theories: Entrepreneurial Opportunity Recognition Theory, Technology Acceptance Model, and Resource-Based View. The findings show that e-commerce not only serves as a platform for transactions but also as an ecosystem for learning and innovation. It helps young entrepreneurs recognize opportunities, adopt technology, and manage resources more effectively. However, strengthening digital education, access to finance, and policy support is needed to ensure the sustainability of youth entrepreneurship in the digital era.

Abstract

This study examines how digital transformation through e-commerce can be a competitive advantage for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. Based on literature studies and secondary data from 2020–2025, the results indicate that e-commerce plays a key role in expanding markets, increasing efficiency, and strengthening brand image. However, challenges such as low digital literacy, infrastructure inequality, and cybersecurity risks remain. The success of digital transformation is influenced by internal readiness, managerial support, and collaboration with digital platforms. Using the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework and Dynamic Capability Theory, this study concludes that inclusive and adaptive digital transformation, accompanied by policy support and cross-sector collaboration, is crucial for realizing a resilient and competitive Indonesian digital economy.

Abstract

This research aims to community movements both spontaneously and in an organized manner, such as the Trash Hero Indonesia community and other community activities that care about the high waste generation. In addition to the Trash Hero community, in-depth interviews were conducted with the Waste Bank and tourist attraction in knowing the management of waste generation. It is hoped that alternative activities will be obtained to help reduce the generation of plastic waste that supports the implementation of Bali Governor Regulation number 97 of 2018. Activities from the community are expected to be able to maintain and provide a positive legacy for future generations. The purpose of this research is to find movements made by the community to help reduce the generation of plastic waste on the island of Bali. The results of this study are expected to increase public awareness of waste management both organic and non organic. Keywords : Waste; Plastic; Tourism Image

Abstract

Practicum as one of the learning media is a process that is eagerly awaited by every student. The practicum process makes the application of theory in school even to finding new theories based on recent research with certain variables. Travel industry practicum as a form of learning for tourism students, becomes a synchronization of theory with practice in the field. At present, the travel industry practicum that runs during the COVID-19 pandemic is a challenge. How to carry out learning in the field but stay safe from the covid-19 virus. This research will try to explore the level of effectiveness in carrying out the travel industry practicum with all its problems during the covid-19 pandemic. It is hoped that after digging up information about the effectiveness of the practicum, it is possible to make a model that can be applied during a special period as it is currently happening.

Abstract

This study aimed at finding out the perception of students in tourism program towards Twitter as vocabulary learning media. Twitter has become one of the learning media in this 4.0 era. It is undeniable that Twitter existence becomes one of the social media that students choose to use when they are learning english subject material. This situation can be used by the teacher to have a specific learning technique when teaching the students about vocabulary via social media especially Twitter. The teachnique used in this study was survey in which all students become the sample of this study considering that all the students have access to Twitter. Survey was conducted by using questionnaire with 15 statements to gain their perception towards Twitter,. Then the data was processed in order to gain the result in the form of percentage. From

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, maximum efforts are needed to maintain the health and safety of tourists. The Clean, Health, Safety & Environment Certification Program is the process of granting certificates to tourism businesses, other related businesses/facilities, the community environment, and tourism destinations issued by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to provide a sense of security and comfort, as well as a guarantee to tourists and the surrounding community. that the place has complied with health protocols. DTW Tanah Lot is one of 6 DTWs that have obtained the CHSE certificate. The implementation of CHSE at Tanah Lot DTW greatly affected the number of visits from the end of 2020 to the beginning of 2021 before the implementation of PPKM. Travelers during the Covid-19 pandemic are more selective in determining which DTW to visit and prefer to visit a certified DTW. In addition to obtaining a CHSE certificate, Tanah Lot DTW has implemented a Health protocol that is in accordance with the guidelines for organizing tourist attractions in order to provide a sense of security and comfort for visiting tourists.

Abstract

Seni pertunjukan tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai media penyampaian pesan simbolik melalui gerak tari, ekspresi, kostum, musik gamelan, serta narasi yang disampaikan kepada penonton. Dalam konteks pariwisata budaya, komunikasi simbolik menjadi elemen penting untuk menjembatani pemahaman wisatawan terhadap makna budaya yang terkandung dalam pertunjukan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis komunikasi simbolik dalam seni pertunjukan Barong and Keris Dance Sahadewa Batubulan, Kecamatan Sukawati, Kabupaten Gianyar, yang merupakan salah satu pertunjukan budaya Bali yang memiliki nilai religius, filosofis, dan estetika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan tujuan memperoleh pemahaman mendalam mengenai bentuk pementasan, pola komunikasi simbolik, serta dampak penggunaan simbol dalam pertunjukan tersebut. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi dalam pertunjukan berlangsung melalui dua bentuk, yaitu komunikasi verbal terlihat pada dialog tokoh, penjelasan pemandu, dan brosur multibahasa, sedangkan nonverbal lebih dominan melalui simbol agama, gerak tubuh, ekspresi, kostum, serta properti. Pertunjukan ini merepresentasikan pertarungan dharma dan adharma dalam keseimbangan rwa bhineda. Setiap alur mencerminkan nilai pengorbanan, ujian moral, hingga keseimbangan kosmis. Berdasarkan konsep AGIL Talcott Parsons, pertunjukan ini mampu beradaptasi dengan pariwisata tanpa kehilangan identitas, berfungsi sebagai pelestarian budaya sekaligus edukasi dan hiburan, menciptakan integrasi antara pemain dan penonton, serta menjaga keberlanjutan nilai budaya. Dengan demikian, pertunjukan Barong and Keris Dance Sahadewa Batubulan tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tontonan, tetapi juga sebagai media komunikasi budaya yang efektif dalam mentransmisikan nilai-nilai filosofis, religius, dan sosial kepada wisatawan.
