Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of Organizational Support, Work Life Balance, and Work Discipline on Employee Performance at PT Bolon Jaya Karya. The background is based on performance appraisal data for 2024–2025, which show an increase in the Excellent category from 16.95% to 23.73% and the Good category from 40.68% to 45.76%; however, 30.51% of employees remained in the Fair and Poor categories. The phenomenon is examined through Organizational Behavior Theory, Social Exchange Theory, Role Balance Theory, and Reinforcement Theory. The research employs a quantitative associative approach. The population consists of 59 employees, with a purposive sample of 40 respondents. Primary data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed through multiple linear regression in SPSS after the instrument was confirmed valid and reliable. The t-test shows that Organizational Support is not significant (t = 1.790 < t-table 2.028; sig. = 0.082), while Work Life Balance (t = 3.319; sig. = 0.002) and Work Discipline (t = 3.673; sig. = 0.001) have positive and significant effects. Simultaneously, the three variables are significant (F = 27.471; sig. < 0.001), with an Adjusted R Square of 0.671. The equation Y = 10.063 + 0.238X1 + 0.466X2 + 0.478X3 indicates that Work Discipline is the strongest predictor. Therefore, performance improvement in material hauling and heavy-equipment operations is driven mainly by strengthening Work Life Balance and Work Discipline, while Organizational Support should be maintained as the foundation of the work climate.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of discipline, teamwork, and communication on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan, both partially and simultaneously. The research uses a quantitative approach with an associative method. The population consists of all 50 teachers at the school, and saturated sampling is employed so that the entire population serves as the sample. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 27. The t-test results show that discipline has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance (t = 8.461; sig. = 0.001) and teamwork has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance (t = 5.316; sig. = 0.001). Communication does not have a significant effect on teacher performance (t = −0.822; sig. = 0.416). Simultaneously, the three variables have a significant effect on teacher performance (F = 34.524; sig. = 0.000). The Adjusted R Square value of 0.672 indicates that the model explains 67.2% of the variation in teacher performance, while the remaining 32.8% is explained by other variables outside the study. The findings confirm that teacher performance is accounted for more by discipline and teamwork, whereas existing communication practices do not explain differences in performance. The results are expected to inform the school in improving teacher performance through discipline development, stronger collaboration, and better work communication.

Abstract

BKKBN Medan City requires high-performing employees to ensure the successful implementation of established targets and work programs. The objective of this study is to determine and analyze the influence of work motivation, work discipline, and the physical work environment on the performance of BKKBN Medan City employees. This research was conducted at the office of the National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN) of Medan City, located at Jl. Gunung Krakatau No. 110, Pulo Brayan Darat II, Medan Timur District, Medan City, North Sumatra 20239. The study was carried out from February to July 2026. The population for this study consisted of employees working at BKKBN Medan City, totaling 88 individuals. The sampling technique employed was non-probability sampling, specifically the saturated sampling method (census). Saturated sampling is a technique in which the entire population serves as the sample; consequently, the number of respondents used in the sample matched the total population of 88 employees. The research results indicate that the variables of work motivation, work discipline, and physical work environment exert both partial and simultaneous influences on the performance of BKKBN Medan City employees.
