Abstract

PT. XYZ as a manufacturer of commercial vehicles and diesel engines has an important role in the automotive industry. This company consists of several departments, one of which is machining and assembly. Dynamic industrial developments encourage companies to continue to innovate in order to remain relevant, competitive, and develop. Increasing competition in the business world will mean that consumers have more choices in choosing products. Therefore, to have competitiveness and survive competition with other products. This research seems to focus on identifying types of defects, their causes, and providing alternative recommendations for improvement to increase product competitiveness at the PT. Based on identifying factors that cause product defects through a fishbone diagram, namely human, machine and method factors. The proposal given in this research is to make parts or make tools such as Shim Plates which are used to help an object to be stable (connecting rod).

Abstract

CAM 2SX production process at PT. XYZ and PT. ABC to determine the performance, quality and challenges of these automotive components. The stamping process was found to be effective in producing components at high speed and high precision through various process steps such as stamping, forming, shearing, trimming, punching and quality control (QC). The use of SPCC (Steel Plate Cold Coil) materials, CNC technology and simulation software helps to optimise processes and improve production results. In addition, the importance of qualified and trained human resources is recognised to meet the demands of modern industry, which is realised through the practical work initiative of Singaperbangsa University, Karawang. Strict quality controls are implemented to ensure that each component meets specifications and is free from defects such as scratches, dents, cracks and extrusions. In short, the stamping process is efficient and effective in manufacturing automotive components, but requires attention to detail and strict quality control to achieve optimum results

Abstract

Abstract— Entering the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 impacted MSMEs as economic sector builders. Industry 4.0 refers to the concept of internet of things use, as well as smart and cloud based manufacturing. The change in the industrial revolution was faced with the Making Indonesia 4.0 with one of its priorities to empower MSMEs. Constraints of MSME actors from capital, managerial skills, to the use of technology, so that it requires a readiness of MSMEs in the face of Industry 4.0. In this study, UMKM readiness refers to the e-readiness concept to determine readiness in adopting, using and utilizing information technology. The purpose of the research is the development of a model to identify the readiness of MSMEs in Kab. Karawang against industrial revolution 4.0 The research method is descriptive research to develop a research model in identifying the readiness of MSMEs in the era of industrial revolution 4.0, with a random sampling method of 100 respondents. Research results in the form of research model development with survey results stating that many young MSME actors are able to adapt and capture opportunities for current development and market demand, but not following the MSME community are of particular concern so that further approaches are needed in developing the MSME industry in Karawang Regency, so that coaching can be done.Keywords— MSMEs  readiness; Industry 4.0; e-readiness. Abstrak— Memasuki era Revolusi Industri 4.0 berdampak pada UMKM sebagai pembangun sektor ekonomi. Industri 4.0 mengacu pada konsep penggunaan internet of things, serta smart and cloud based manufacturing. Perubahan revolusi industri dihadapi dengan adanya Making Indonesia 4.0 dengan salah satu prioritasnya pemberdayaan UMKM.  Kendala pelaku UMKM dari permodalan, keterampilan manajerial, hingga penggunaan teknologi, sehingga diperlukan sebuah kesiapan UMKM dalam menghadapi Industri 4.0. Pada penelitian ini, Kesiapan UMKM mengacu pada konsep e-readiness untuk mengetahui kesiapan dalam mengadopsi, menggunakan dan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi. Tujuan penelitian berupa pengembangan model untuk mengidentifikasi kesiapan UMKM Kab. Karawang terhadap revolusi industri 4.0 Metode penelitian berupa penelitian deskriptif untuk mengembangkan model penelitian dalam mengidentifikasi kesiapan UMKM pada era revolusi industri 4.0, dengan metode random sampling dari 100 responden. Hasil Penelitian berupa pengembangan model penelitian dengan hasil survey yang menyatakan banyaknya pelaku UMKM berusia muda mampu beradaptasi dan menangkap peluang perkembangan masa kini dan permintaan pasar, namun tidak mengikuti komunitas UMKM menjadi perhatian khusus sehingga diperlukan upaya pendekatan lebih lanjut dalam mengembangkan industri UMKM di Kabupaten Karawang, agar dapat dilakukan pembinaan.Kata kunci— Kesiapan UMKM; Industri 4.0; e-readiness

Abstract

PT Sinergi Persada Nusantara is a company engaged in manufacturing, fabrication and machining services. To support the production process in the industry, especially the automotive industry, heavy equipment, industrial special tools and consumer goods. Maintenance is all the activities needed to maintain the quality of equipment or machinery to keep it functioning properly and keep the facility or equipment always in a state of readiness. FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) is a method for evaluating the possibility of failure of a system, design, process or service to make handling steps. From the analysis of the RPN calculation on the RHINO HT-200A SMAW welding machine, the overall result is 817. This value exceeds the welding machine maintenance standards set with the overall RPN value must be below 400. A high RPN value indicates a low level of reliability on the tool.

Abstract

In the fabrication process of a series of piperacks, accurate workpiece results are needed in a fast time, therefore procedures are needed that can support the speed and accuracy of fabrication to fulfill PT Pertamina's wishes so that the RDMP RU V Balikpapan project takes place quickly. One part of the piperack fabricated by PT Arkha Jayanti Persada is iron girders. Because the process of checking the quality of parts of the piperack series is carried out by PT Pertamina very strictly, the results of the fabricated iron girders are also required to obtain precision iron girders at the right time but not injuring the tools and machines owned by PT Arkha Jayanti Persada. The purpose of this study is to analyze the results of 4 different blades. From the research results, it was found that cutting the 2-G-(F)-750 girder took 119 minutes using a saw blade 41 x 1.3 x 5300 – 10 TPI. With the same blade speed, replacing the saw blade with a 14 TPI tooth profile speeds up the cutting time to 85 minutes (29 %).

Abstract

As a manufacturing company engaged in the manufacture of automotive parts, it produces components for motorized vehicles, especially for two wheels, with the production of spare parts in the form of arm rear brakes. In the manufacture of these spare parts, it is really necessary to pay attention to all the needs, such as materials which, in other words, really have an influence on the strength of the material. Included in the process that goes through spot welding, it needs to be considered in the stages of the process to be optimal because, if not, it will cause failure of a product so that defective products are obtained at this welding point. Improvement of the production process of this product can be done by identifying control factors and arrangements using the 5 why analysis, fishbone, and pareto methods until the production process is stable and the results obtained are good and according to the expected standards until the needs of all parties are met.

Abstract

S50C Alloy Steel is a widely produced and used medium carbon alloy steel, which serves as a raw material for manufacturing machine components, building structures, tools, and one of them being knife blades for wood chippers. The aim of this research is to determine the hardness value and microstructural changes in S50C steel after the heat treatment of hardening and holding time. The method used in this study is an experimental method, where S50C steel is subjected to heat treatment at a temperature of 850°C, followed by different holding times of 30, 60, and 90 minutes, and then cooled using oil. The research results show that the highest hardness value in S50C steel, treated with rapid cooling using oil, has an average hardness value of 589.29 HV after a 90-minute holding time, compared to the raw material's hardness of 262.67 HV. Microstructural testing reveals that the microstructure of the raw material consists of ferrite and pearlite with balanced crystal shape and size, in accordance with a carbon content of 0.50%. In the group of specimens undergoing rapid cooling with oil in the hardening process, a new microstructure called martensite is obtained, which is the main structure responsible for the increased hardness of the steel.

Abstract

Salah satu sektor terpenting yang memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap perekonomian nasional adalah industri otomotif. Besar gaya pemotongan yang diperlukan agar pukulan mampu menembus material disebut gaya potong. Tujuan utama menghitung gaya potong proses pemotongan adalah untuk menentukan kekuatan tekan selama proses produksi. Dengan asumsi mengabaikan penolakan produksi, hasil produksi mampu mencapai 133,9 pcs dalam satu jam produksi. Data yang digunakan diambil selama bulan Agustus yaitu sekitar 1.440 jam kerja. Dihitung dengan membagi total produksi dengan waktu proses yang dibutuhkan. Oleh karena itu, mesin press menghasilkan gaya potong sebesar 80.000 N. Proses balnking dan piercing adalah dua tahap dalam proses produksi gasket, yang ditentukan oleh hasil diskusi dan pengolahan data. Bahan yang terbuat dari Stainless Steel. Temuan solusi atas permasalahan yang muncul selama proses produksi dengan melakukan evaluasi secara berkala.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil analisis dengan menggunakan parameter Stress, Displacement, Strain, dan Safety Factor, dapat disimpulkan bahwa rangka perangkat grading fish yang terbuat dari stainless steel dengan ukuran 30 × 30 × 3 mm memenuhi standar perhitungan dan berada dalam kondisi pembebanan yang aman sebagai perangkat penyortir ikan. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa rangka perangkat memiliki kekuatan yang cukup untuk menahan beban yang diberikan selama proses penyortiran ikan. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa perangkat dapat digunakan secara efektif dan memenuhi kebutuhan operasional dengan aman.

Abstract

Abstrak Pengupas bawang putih dipilih oleh beberapa ibu rumah tangga sebagai pekerjaan sampingan. Prinsip kerja dari pengupas bawang putih yaitu memotong batang (semu) dan mengupas kulit ari bawang putih. Semua dilakukan secara manual sehingga menimbulkan permasalahan, seperti kecelakaan kerja akibat cutter pemotong. Cutter pemotong yang digunakan tidak disediakan oleh pemilik bawang putih. Upah yang diberikan satu karung (20 kg) relatif cukup kecil, hanya sebesar Rp 8.000. Tujuan dari perancangan ini adalah menciptakan alat pemotong batang (semu) bawang putih untuk meminimalisir permasalahan yang terjadi. Perancangan menggunakan metode Pahl dan Beitz. Metode observasi dan studi litelatur digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil dari perancangan berupa perencanaan awal, perencanaan konsep, perencanaan bentuk, perencanaan detail. Kata kunci: Arduino Uno, Batang semu bawang putih, Pemotongan, Perancangan.
