Abstract

AbstrakMesin CNC adalah sebuah mesin perkakas yang dioperasikan oleh mesin yang diprogram dan dikelola oleh sistem Computer Numerical Control (CNC). Mesin CNC diciptakan pertama kali pada tahun 1952 oleh John Pearseon dari Institut Teknologi Massachusetts. Pada tahun 1973 masih sedikit perusahaan yang menggunakan mesin CNC dikarenakan harga yang sangat mahal. Pada tahun 1975 produksi mesin CNC mulai berkembang seiring dengan perkembangan Mikroprosesor. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses pengoperasian mesin CNC Milling, untuk memenuhi syarat dalam menyelesaikan mata kuliah kerja praktek, untuk menambah wawasan mahasiswa di bidang pengoperasian mesin CNC Milling.Metode penelitian yang dipakai yaitu observasi, diskusi, dan studi literature. Hasil penelitian dari penelitiaan ini adalah Proses Pembuatan Cetakan Gagang Obat Nyamuk Bakar, Pembuatan Desain 3D, proses pemilihan bahan, proses pembuatan meliputi proses facing, Proses Groove Pisau Potong, Proses Pembuatan Lubang Dudukan Baut, Proses Pembuatan Drat Baut, hardening, grinding, wirecut, dan perakitan.Kata kunci: CNC Milling, Hardening, Wirecut, Facing.AbstractA CNC machine is a tool operated by a programmed machine and managed by a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) system. The CNC machine was first created in 1952 by John Pearseon of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 1973, only a few companies used CNC machines due to their high cost. By 1975, CNC machine production began to flourish alongside the development of microprocessors. The purpose of this research is to understand the operation process of CNC milling machines, to fulfill the requirements forcompleting a practical work course, and to enhance students' knowledge in the field of CNC milling machine operation. The research methods used include observation, discussion, and literature study. Abstract

The quality of construction is paramount in ensuring the longevity of steel buildings. A primary cause of reduced lifespan in steel structures is the development of corrosion. To mitigate high corrosion rates, careful consideration must be given to the steel fabrication process, particularly coating. This study employs Fishbone, 4M+1E, and 5W+1H cause-and-effect analysis methods to examine the impact of the coating process on the lifespan of steel building structures. By identifying the root causes of various problem factors, the study offers recommendations and proper implementations to address these issues. Discrepancies in the coating process were identified, and several recommendations were proposed based on the root cause analysis. The findings aim to ensure the estimated lifespan of the steel piperack building structure by preventing premature corrosion. The results indicate that coating defects predominantly stem from human factors, and several repair recommendations are provided based on these findings.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan material komposit sebagai bahan alternatif dari fiber glass dalam bidang otomotif khususnya pada body kendaraan kini semakin banyak dikenal orang. Hal ini dikarenakan keuntungan bahan dari material komposit berpenguat serat alam ini yaitu ramah lingkungan, beban lebih ringan, harga relatif murah, sifat mekanik yang sangat baik, dan mudah didapat. Maka tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis sifat mekanik pada komposit serat daun nanas untuk material body mobil listrik Anobrain dengan bermaksud untuk mengetahui karakteristik serat daun nanas dengan filler talk Mg₃Si₄O₁₀(Oh)₂ serta pengaruh serat daun nanas terhadap perbandingan matriks fraksi volume 50:50, 60:40, dan 70:30 pada pengujian tarik dan impak. Hasil pengujian tarik tertinggi pada perbandingan fraksi 50:50 yaitu sebesar 34,2 MPa. Sedangkan untuk nilai kekuatan tarik terendah terjadi pada perbandingan fraksi 70:30 sebesar 21,5 MPa. Nilai modulus elastisitas pada pengujian tarik tanpa serat memiliki nilai sebesar 778 MPa dan nilai modulus elastisitas untuk perbandingan fraksi 50:50 sebesar 171 MPa. Dari hasil pengujian impact yang telah dilakukan bahwa energi impact paling tinggi yaitu sebesar 68,33 joule pada perbandingan fraksi 50:50 dan nilai energi impact terendah yaitu sebesar 40 joule pada fraksi tanpa serat (resin dengan katalis). Abstract

Plastik digunakan hampir oleh semua orang, plastik dapat digunakan untuk berbagai macam hal, ini membuat plastik menjadi salah satu pemeran penting dalam rantai pasok di Indonesia. Pertumbuhan manufaktur plastik di Indonesia sangat tinggi dan masih memiliki potensi yang besar untuk dikembangkan terutama di sektor industri di Indonesia. Dengan hal tersebut penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan gulungan tidak rapih pada proses slitting, menganalisis langkah-langkah perbaikan dengan menggunakan metode DMAIC pada proses slitting, dan menjelaskan manfaat dari penggunaan metode DMAIC pada proses slitting. Dari hasil analisa penelitian pada PT. PKF didapatkan pada Bulan Maret total produksi 32.255 kg, jumlah defect 1680 kg, CTQ 4, DPMO 13.020, level sigma 3,7 dan pada Bulan April total produksi 25.249 kg, jumlah defect 940 kg, CTQ 4, DPMO 9.300, level sigma 3,8. Sehingga PT. PKF berada pada level 3,75 atau bisa dikatakan berada pada level 4 sigma dengan nilai rata-rata DPMO 11.160 setiap 1.000.000 produksi yang dilakukan oleh PT. PKF, maka perusahaan berada pada level 4 sigma dan sekelas dengan rata-rata industri di Indonesia. Kata kunci: Mesin Slitter; Metode DMAIC; Proses Slitting. Plastic is used by almost everyone, plastic can be used for various things, this makes plastic one of the important players in the supply chain in Indonesia. The growth of plastic manufacturing in Indonesia is very high and still has great potential to be developed, especially in the industrial sector in Indonesia. With this in mind, this study aims to determine the factors that cause untidy rolls in the slitting process, analyze corrective steps using the DMAIC method in the slitting process, and explain the benefits of using the DMAIC method in the slitting process. From the results of research analysis at PT. PKF obtained in March total production 32,255 kg, total defects 1680 kg, CTQ 4, DPMO 13,020, sigma level 3.7 and in April total production 25,249 kg, total defects 940 kg, CTQ 4, DPMO 9,300, sigma level 3, 8. So that PT. PKF is at level 3.75 or it can be said to be at level 4 sigma with an average DPMO value of 11,160 for every 1,000,000 production carried out by PT. Abstract

Dalam beberapa dekade terakhir, pemanasan global dan perubahan iklim telah mempengaruhi berbagai aspek kehidupan manusia, termasuk kesehatan dan kenyamanan. Salah satu dampak langsung adalah fluktuasi suhu tubuh manusia. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, penelitian telah dilakukan untuk mengembangkan alat yang dapat membantu menstabilkan suhu tubuh manusia. Salah satu alat tersebut adalah kipas angin. Namun, banyak kipas angin yang digunakan saat ini masih beroperasi secara manual. Penelitian terbaru telah mengembangkan sistem kipas angin otomatis yang memanfaatkan sensor suhu DHT11 dan dikendalikan menggunakan Arduino Uno. Penelitian ini menambahkan fitur otomatisasi, memungkinkan kipas angin untuk beroperasi tanpa perlu intervensi manusia. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membantu manusia dalam menghidupkan dan mematikan kipas angin secara otomatis.

Abstract

 Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan sistem pengunci pintu otomatis yang lebih efisien dan aman dibandingkan dengan kunci konvensional. Sistem ini dirancang menggunakan Arduino dan sensor RFID untuk mendeteksi keberadaan objek hingga jarak maksimal 3 meter. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang dan membangun pintu otomatis serta sistem keamanan yang efektif dengan sensor RFID. Metode riset dan pengembangan digunakan dalam penelitian ini, melibatkan sembilan tahap, mulai dari identifikasi masalah hingga analisis data. Hasilnya, sistem ini dapat mendeteksi objek hingga jarak 3 meter dengan output sensor sebesar 3.4 Volt DC. Sistem ini diharapkan dapat mempermudah pengunjung dengan pergerakan manusia yang menjadi objek deteksi. Dengan demikian, sistem ini menawarkan solusi praktis dan efisien untuk meningkatkan keamanan rumah dengan banyak pintu.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with the most accident statistics in Southeast Asia, where Indonesia is in fifth position. Where the number of traffic accidents in Indonesia, one of which is caused by brake failure, reaches 31%. Therefore, a reliable and good braking system is very necessary to maintain the safety of drivers of both two-wheeled and four-wheeled traffic vehicles. One of the components that plays a very important role in the braking system is the disc brake, and in this case the greater the heat produced, the smaller the braking effectiveness. So this research aims to find out with the existing variations, which one is better able to reduce the heat that occurs when braking takes place. The method used in this research is transient thermal simulation in Solidworks 2022 software, the disc brake diameter used is 180mm and the material variations used are AISI 304, AISI 1020, and Alloy 1060. The conductivity of each material is AISI 304 16W respectively. /m.K, AISI 1020 47W/m.K, and Alloy 1060 200W/m.K. The results obtained from simulations with AISI 304 material, minimum temperature of 1.995ºC, maximum temperature of 2.172ºC, AISI 1020 material, minimum temperature of.996ºC, maximum temperature of 2.185ºC, and for Alloy 1060 material, minimum temperature of 1.996ºC, maximum temperature of 2.224ºC. The conclusion obtained from this research is that materials that have high thermal conductivity values tend to be able to withstand temperatures better during braking

Abstract

Plastics have experienced a rapid increase in production over the last 70 years. Initially, in 1950, the world only produced 2 million tons, and now production is more than 450 million tons. Around a quarter of plastic waste is thrown away and needs to be appropriately managed, namely around 82 million tons. In other words, the waste is not disposed of in a proper disposal site, not recycled or burned. This research underwent several stages: literature study, data collection, extruder design, machine element calculations, analysis and discussion. Six types of materials will be used as objects for selecting extruder materials, including SS 410, SS 422, AISI 4140, AISI 4340, AISI 1144, and AISI 1045. Planning is carried out on the machine elements so that von Misses stress and deflection values ​​are obtained to determine the appropriate values. Extruder design planning. It was concluded that the highest Von Misses Stress value was obtained for all materials with variations in material length and width, namely 700 and 45 mm. The higher the length and diameter dimensions, the higher the von Misses stress value. The highest deflection value was obtained on Stainless Steel 410 material with variations in length and width of the material, namely 700 and 45 mm. The higher the length dimension of a material, the higher the deflection value.

Abstract

This research focuses on the manufacturing process of a thinner storage tank with a capacity of 226 liters. The objective is to identify the materials and process stages involved in producing the tank. The study employs a direct research and development methodology to explore this topic. For the tank’s body, SUS 403 stainless steel is selected for its excellent corrosion resistance, while ST45 steel is chosen for the frame due to its high load-bearing capacity. The manufacturing process includes material selection, cutting, rolling, welding, finishing, and quality control. In the welding phase, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) is utilized with ER308L filler, applying a current of 70 amperes for the tank body and 100 amperes for the tank head. For the frame, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) is employed using RD260 2.6mm electrodes at a current of 90 amperes. The study aims to provide comprehensive insights into the selection and application of materials and processes for efficient tank.

Abstract

Abstrak: UMKM merupakan salah satu pendukung ekonomi nasional yang perlu diberdayakan dalam menghadapi perkembangan zaman. Pemberdayaan dapat dilakukan melalui perbaikan kualitas produk yang mengacu pada standarisasi kerja, karena kualitas merupakan jaminan bagi konsumen dalam menggunakan produk. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra sasaran UMKM bengkel las rasyid yaitu saat proses pengelasan produk yang masih terdapat patahan pada produk. Kegiatan pengabdian bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan mengenai metode dan cara mengetahui kualitas produk pengelasan melalui uji kekuatan las Non Destructive Test (NDT) sesuai prosedur. Hal tersebut dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk agar mampu bersaing dengan produk lainnya. Metode pelaksanaan pada pengabdian ini adalah sosialisasi, edukasi, dan pelatihan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pengabdian ini, pekerja mengetahui cara pengujian kekuatan las dan teknis keterampilan pengujian serta modul prosedur pemeriksaan kekuatan las. UMKM bengkel las perlu menyadari dan memperhatikan tiga hal dalam proses pengelasan yaitu kebersihan material, posisi material dan posisi pekerja, serta kerapatan agar produk yang dihasilkan memiliki kulitas baik.Abstract: MSMEs are one of the supporters of the national economy that need to be empowered in the face of the times. Empowerment can be done through improving product quality which refers to work standardization, because quality is a guarantee for consumers in using the product. The problem faced by the target partner of MSMEs in Rasyid's workshop is when the product welding process still has fractures in the product. The service activity aims to provide knowledge about methods and ways to determine the quality of welding products through the Non Destructive Test (NDT) welding strength test according to the procedure. This is done to improve product quality in order to be able to compete with other products. The implementation method for this service is socialization, education, and training. The results obtained from this service, workers know how to test weld strength and technical testing skills as well as the welding strength inspection procedure module. Welding workshop SMEs need to realize and pay attention to three things in the welding process, namely the cleanliness of the material, the position of the material and the position of the workers, and the density so that the resulting product has good quality.
