Abstract

Immunization is an effort to actively create/increase a person's immunity against a disease so that if one day they are exposed to the disease they will not become sick or will only experience mild illness. By providing timely immunization, the community can remain protected and VPD outbreaks can be prevented. Diseases that can be prevented by immunization currently still threaten the world because they can cause death and disability. Based on this, it is very necessary to take preventive and promotive actions related to the importance of immunization. The method used in this activity is through socialization and discussions involving expert speakers in their fields with participants consisting of 67 mothers of toddlers. Participants came from three villages in Jatigede sub-district, Sumedang.

Abstract

Introduction: Nutrition is a key determinant of human health and development, especially in the toddler period, when inadequate intake can quickly lead to growth and health problems. Objective: To determine the relationship between the frequency of maternal visits to integrated health posts (Posyandu) and the nutritional status of toddlers in Jemah Village, Jati Gede District, Sumedang Regency. Method: This descriptive analytic study used a cross-sectional design. Data were collected through observation with an accidental sampling technique from 50 mothers and toddlers registered at Posyandu Mawar I–IV in Jemah Village. Result and Discussion: Most mothers were 26–35 years old, had a high school education, and were housewives. Most toddlers had good nutritional status, and 82% of respondents routinely visited the integrated health posts. Statistical analysis showed a significant positive relationship between visit frequency and toddler nutritional status (p = 0.001), indicating a very strong correlation. Conclusions: Routine maternal visits to integrated health posts are strongly associated with better nutritional status among toddlers in Jemah Village.

Abstract

Background: Unintended pregnancy (UP) is a reproductive health problem that can undermine psychological well-being, social functioning, and family dynamics, particularly marital interaction. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the extent to which social support and coping strategies predict the quality of marital interaction among couples experiencing UP. Methods: A cross-sectional design was employed involving 200 couples from Bekasi City and Bekasi Regency, Indonesia, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through structured interviews using standardized questionnaires and analyzed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results: The results showed that most couples reported low levels of social support and marital interaction, while coping strategies were generally at a moderate level. Social support had a significant positive effect on both coping strategies (p < 0.01) and marital interaction (p < 0.01), and coping strategies also had a significant positive effect on marital interaction (p < 0.05). Conclusion: These findings highlight the importance of strengthening social support networks and enhancing adaptive coping skills to improve marital quality and foster family resilience in the context of unintended pregnancy.
