Abstract

This research was conducted to know connection between Mathematic Connection and Students’ Problem Solving Capability on Mathematic. This research was a correlational Sample collection and was done by random sampling with doing normality testing in the beginning and homogeneity testing in population date. The sample was approximately 23 students from 117 populations. This research used T-testing to find the meaning of the regression.”Simple Regression-equation for”connection ability towards students’”problem solving”ability on mathematics was Y= 0,536 + 0,768X by correlation 0,760 and KP 57,829%. Hypothesis-testing result was gained  tcounting= 5,366 and ttable= 1,71. It is concluded that there is a connection between Mathematic Connection to Students’ Problem Solving Capability on Mathematic in Grade VIII SMPN 3 Palembayan.

Abstract

There have been some previous studies on graceful vertex labeling have been carried out. This study aims to determine the vertex graceful labeling on (6,8)-graph. (6,8)-graph is a graph that has 6 vertices and 8 edges. In this study, the research is limited to (6,8)-graph which is finitely connected. This design of this research is descriptive qualitative research, in form of literature study and the data analysis technique used is non-statistical data analysis technique. From the results of the study, it was found that among the twenty (6,8)-graphs which are not isomorphic, there are 10 graphs which are vertex graceful labeling, namely J1, J3, J4, J5, J8, J15, J16, J17, J18, and J19.

Abstract

This study aims to see whether there is a relationship between the Grade Point Average (GPA) and length of study to comprehensive exam scores. This research is descriptive quantitative research. The population of this research is graduated students of the mathematics education study program at IAIN Bukittinggi for the last 4 years; students who have graduated in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, consisting of 353 people. The sample was 15% of 353 people (53 people). The data analysis technique was statistical analysis in which the step started by firstly carrying out the prerequisite analysis test. Next, the hypothesis test is carried out. The results showed that the results of the first correlation test that had been carried out had a relationship between the Grade Point Average and the student's comprehensive score. From data analysis through correlation analysis, it obtained 0.318 with a coefficient of determination of 10.112%. It means that there is a relationship between the Grade Point Average and the student's comprehensive score. This shows that the relationship between GPA and the compressive score is positive even though it is weak. The second correlation test which was carried out did not show any relationship between the length of study and the student's comprehensive score. From the analysis of the data through correlation analysis, it was obtained -0.278 which indicated that the relationship between the length of study and the compression value had a negative score and had weak relationship strength. Based on the third hypothesis test that has been carried out there is no relationship between the Grade Point Average (GPA) and the length of study with the student's comprehensive score.
