Abstract

This study aims to describe the perceptions of elementary school students towards the use of gamification in mathematics learning based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). In addition, this study also analyzes the factors that influence students' perceptions and explores the impact of gamification on students' motivation and understanding in learning mathematics. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and open questionnaires involving elementary school students who had participated in gamification and RME-based mathematics learning. Data analysis techniques were carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions with triangulation to ensure the validity of the findings. The results showed that students had a positive perception of the use of gamification in mathematics learning based on RME. Students feel more motivated, actively involved, and understand mathematical concepts better through this approach. In addition, it was found that gamification in RME increases students' learning motivation by making learning more interactive and fun. However, some students experience stress due to the competitive elements in gamification, so a balance is needed between challenges and exploration of mathematical concepts. Gamification in RME-based mathematics learning provides significant benefits in increasing students' motivation and understanding. However, its effectiveness depends on the right learning design, the role of teachers in facilitating positive interactions, and the balance between competition and concept exploration. The recommendation of this study is for teachers to develop gamification strategies that are appropriate to students' needs and characteristics and evaluate their long-term impact on mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan resiliensi matematis siswa.  Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan secara terperinci terkait: (1) untuk mendeskripsikan upaya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan resiliensi matematis; (2) untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh resiliensi matematis terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis; (3) untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk pembelajaran yang sesuai untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan resiliensi matematis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui 20 artikel yang meliputi artikel nasional sebanyak 15, artikel internasional sebanyak 3, dan artikel internasional bereputasi sebanyak 2 yang sesuai dengan topik penelitian untuk di review. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa resiliensi matematis mempengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, yaitu resiliensi matematis yang tinggi akan memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang tinggi. Bentuk pembelajaran yang sesuai untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan resiliensi matematis diantaranya: memberikan pengalaman belajar yang bervariasi dan inovatif, mampu memotivasi siswa untuk aktif berdiskusi dan bertanya selama proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

The transformation of higher education in the digital era requires lecturers to have the competence to utilize learning technology effectively, including the utilization of Learning Management System (LMS). However, many lecturers have not optimized LMS as an interactive and structured learning tool. This Community Service Program aims to improve lecturers' ability to use LMS through technical and pedagogical training based on direct practice and andragogical approaches. Activities are carried out through preparation stages, three-day intensive training, two-week implementation assistance, and evaluation. The results show a significant increase in lecturers' competence in managing LMS, with an average score increasing by 32 points after training. Active participation of partners, the success of the digital class mini project, and the formation of an LMS practitioner community are positive indicators of the program's success. Outputs in the form of modules, video tutorials, and digital learning products make a real contribution to improving the quality of online learning in the higher education environment. This program has the potential to be widely and sustainably replicated to support inclusive and adaptive digitalization of education.

Abstract

Students with good self-efficacy are generally able to overcome challenges in various aspects of life. This study aimed to measure students’ self-efficacy in learning mathematics in the Mathematics Education Department of Malikussaleh University during the 2024/2025 academic year. With technological support, PBL can be implemented more interactively and flexibly, enabling students to access learning resources, engage in online discussions, and develop problem-solving abilities independently. A qualitative research method was employed, with data collected through a questionnaire. The subjects of this study were students enrolled in the Mathematics Education Department at Malikussaleh University. The data analysis in this study was carried out through three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. A total of 41 students participated in the study. The results showed that 6 students (15%) had high self-efficacy, 31 students (75%) had moderate self-efficacy, and 4 students (10%) had low self-efficacy. The average self-efficacy score among students was 76.47%.  Based on these findings, students of the Mathematics Education Department at Malikussaleh University can generally be categorized as having a moderate level of self-efficacy. Analysis of the questionnaire data indicates that most students put significant effort into solving the problems assigned by lecturers, and some reported never procrastinating on tasks. While some students disagreed with completing tasks only at the deadline, others disagreed with the idea of never postponing tasks and stated that they preferred to work under deadline pressure.  Strengthening this psychological construct is crucial not only for deepening students' understanding of mathematical concepts but also for improving their preparedness and effectiveness as future mathematics teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the integration of coding and Acehnese culture-based Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) in elementary school mathematics learning, analyze the learning process that supports the development of students' mathematical creativity, and identify local cultural values ​​that can be adapted in technology-based and realistic learning designs. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with an exploratory study design. The research subjects included teachers and students in grades IV–V at an elementary school in Bireuen Regency, Aceh. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed interactively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the integration of coding and Acehnese culture-based RME can create meaningful, creative, and contextual mathematics learning. The application of local cultural contexts such as Acehnese rumoh motifs and Acehnese cultural values ​​helps students understand mathematical concepts concretely and closely related to their lives. Meanwhile, the application of coding through platforms such as Scratch and Blockly fosters logical and systematic thinking skills and increases creativity in problem-solving. Collaborative and reflective learning reinforces the values ​​of meuseuraya (cooperation) and tameh (politeness), so that students develop not only cognitively but also socially and emotionally. This study concludes that the synergy between local culture, digital technology, and a realistic approach is an effective strategy for realizing meaningful 21st-century mathematics learning rooted in cultural identity. This model can be used as a reference for teachers, schools, and researchers to develop learning innovations based on local wisdom in the digital era.

Abstract

 AbstrakRendahnya hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita pada materi bilangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesalahan siswa dan guru dalam memecahkan masalah pemahaman narasi di kelas tiga dan lima sekolah dasar berdasarkan teori kesalahan Neuman Penelitian ini menggabungkan pendekatan kualitatif. Tujan Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki secara komprehensif kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa kelas tiga dan lima dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita dengan menggunakan metode analisis Newman dan mengidentifikasi penyebab kesalahan tersebut dengan menggunakan metodologi yang sama. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi tes, wawancara, dan catatan tertulis. Instrumen utama yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes bercerita materi pelajaran, dengan satu soal uraian untuk masing-masing kelas 3 dan 5, serta wawancara dan dokumentasi tertulis. Reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan adalah bagian dari teknik analisis data yang digunakan. Hasil Penelitian Ketidakmampuan siswa untuk membaca secara akurat seringkali menjadi akar penyebab kesalahan pertama mereka. Kesalahan membaca dibuat ketika seorang siswa tidak dapat menguraikan kata-kata kunci pertanyaan itu. Penyebab kedua adalah kegagalan mendiagnosis masalah dengan benar. Kesalahan dalam pemahaman masalah adalah jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa ketika mereka dapat membaca dengan baik tetapi tidak yakin apa yang sebenarnya perlu diperbaiki. Penyebab ketiga adalah transformasi yang salah. Masalah dengan transformasi terjadi ketika siswa membuat pilihan yang salah mengenai operasi matematika yang harus dilakukan. Keempat, kesalahan proses yang harus disalahkan. Ketidakmampuan untuk mengukur jumlah secara akurat membuat siswa membuat kesalahan dalam memperkirakan kecepatan pemrosesan. Kesalahan dalam proses perhitungan dapat ditelusuri kembali ke ketidakmampuan siswa untuk menggunakan algoritma secara konsisten dan akurat. This study aims to analyze students' and teachers' errors in solving narrative comprehension problems in grades three and five of elementary school based on Neuman's theory of error. This study incorporates a qualitative approach. The purpose of this study was to comprehensively investigate the errors made by third and fifth grade students in solving word problems using the Newman analysis method and identify the causes of these errors using the same methodology. Data collection methods used in this study include tests, interviews, and written notes. The main instrument used in this study was the subject matter telling test, with one essay question for each grade 3 and 5, as well as interviews and written documentation. Data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions are part of the data analysis technique used. Research Results Students' inability to read accurately is often the root cause of their first mistakes. Reading errors are made when a student cannot decipher the key words of the question. The second cause is failure to properly diagnose the problem. Errors in problem understanding are the types of errors students make when they can read well but are not sure what exactly needs to be corrected. The third cause is wrong transformation. Problems with transformations occur when students make wrong choices about which mathematical operations to perform. Fourth, process errors are to blame. The inability to measure quantities accurately leads students to make errors in estimating processing speed. Errors in the calculation process can be traced back to students' inability to use algorithms consistently and accurately. The fifth cause is carelessness in writing the final answer. Abstract

This research aims to evaluate and improve student learning outcomes in fraction material by applying the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach in the context of action in an elementary school. The research method used is Classroom Action Research with a research cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research location is UPTD SD Negeri 4 Bireuen. The data source in this research was class III UPTD students at SD Negeri 4 Bireuen, totaling 17 students with various levels of ability. Based on the research results, it was found that the RME approach was used for class III students at UPTD SD Negeri 4 Bireuen on simple fraction material. This is proven by the increasing number of students who complete their studies.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat  pengaruh pendekatan saintifik terhadap kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa lebih akan lebih baik dari pada menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional di SMA Negeri 1 Bireuen. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experimental). Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pretest posttes control group design. Adapun yang menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa X IPA SMA Negeri 1 Bireuen. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling, kelas yang terambil yaitu kelas X IPA E sebagai kelas ekaperimen yang berjumlah 30 orang siswa dan X IPA F sebagai kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 30 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini berupa tes dengan bentuk soal essay yang terdiri dari tes awal dan tes akhir. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan, pengaruh pendekatan saintifik terhadap kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa pada materi pokok fungsi komposisi lebih baik dari pada peningkatan pembelajaran materi pokok fungsi komposisi melalui pembelajaran konvensional di SMA Negeri 1 Bireuen.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari lebih dalam tentang sifat-sifat yang harus dimiliki seorang pemimpin yang baik agar pemimpin dapat melakukan tugasnya secara efektif dan program pendidikan dapat berjalan dengan lancar. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik studi literatur dengan menganalisis berbagai jurnal dan buku kepemimpinan. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa setelah ciri-ciri seorang pemimpin yang ideal telah diidentifikasi, mereka harus diadaptasi agar sesuai dengan model kepemimpinan yang dipilih. Hasil analisis berbagai literatur, peneliti setidaknya mendapat dua kesimpulan: 1) Kepemimpinan adalah seorang yang mempunyai kemampuan, kekuatan seni untuk mempengaruhi, memberikan aspirasi, dan mengarahkan perilaku seseorang atau organisasi di dalam kerjanya dengan cara kepatuhan, kepercayaan, kehormatan, dan kerja sama yang bersemangat dalam mencapai tujuan pendidikan bersama. 2) Agar dapat mencapai tujuan pendidikan secara optimal, efektif, dan efisien, maka dibutuhkan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang bertanggung jawab dan memahami tugas pokok serta fungsinya

Abstract

Literasi digital mencakup berbagai keterampilan seperti memahami dan menggunakan perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak komputer, mengelola data dan informasi digital, berkomunikasi melalui platform digital, serta menerapkan prinsip-prinsip keamanan dan privasi dalam dunia digital. Tujuan pelatihan Ini dilaksanakan adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru di MTsS Nurul Qur’an dalam menggunakan teknologi digital dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran serta membangun kreatifitas dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan pelatihan Ini dilaksanakan adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru di MTsS Nurul Qur’an dalam menggunakan teknologi digital dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran serta membangun kreatifitas dalam pembelajaran. Solusi yang akan dilaksanakan adalah dengan mengadakan pelatihan literasi digital serta sosialisasi aplikasi atau platform yang sering digunakan dalam meningkatkan kreatifitas pembelajaraan saat ini. Metode peneltian ini dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif adalah studi kasus di MTsS Nurul Qur’an. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru MTsS Nurul Qur’an sangat termotivasi dan antusias dalam mengikuti pelatihan ini serta dapat mengimplementasikan dengan  kreatifitas pembelajaran dengan baik melalui Literasi Digital.
