Abstract

This research is based on the reality that Acehnese students staying in Malang often experience the phenomenon of cultural shock and negative labeling during their studies in Malang. The negative labeling they have received such as “ Aceh pungo, marijuana dealers, members of the Free Aceh Movement (GAM)”. This labeling causes the lack of self-disclosure and lack of confidence of Acehnese students in their communication in Malang. This research aims to analyze the effects of cultural shock and negative labeling on self-disclosure and self-confidence of Acehnese students in their communication process in Malang. The research uses Winkelmann’s cultural shock theory and Edwin E. Lemert’s labeling theory. Utilizing a quantitative approach and a correlational method, the research targets members of IPPMA, comprising a population of 133 individuals. A sample size of 100 respondents was determined using the Slovin formula. The data are collacted by distributing questionnaires to respondents. After the data obtained, they are sequenced and analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results indicate that cultural shock affects self-disclosure and self-confidence, while negative labeling does not affect self-disclosure and self-confidence. The simultaneous testing indicates that the combined effect of cultural shock and negative labeling on self-disclosure and self-confidence is weak.

Abstract

The unique and 'wild' lyrical rhetoric loaded and used by Nadin Amizah in the song Rayuan Perempuan Gila seems to create a chain effect that creates a new trend among its listeners. The trend that emerged, where the majority of listeners consciously opened themselves by conveying their shortcomings or declaring themselves as 'crazy women' to their partners or even to the public. Therefore, an analysis of the meaning of the song lyrics was conducted to solve the question "What is the meaning of the rhetoric of the lyrics and how is the representation of women in the song Rayuan Perempuan Gila, Nadin Amizah?" and aims to find out the meaning or rhetoric of the lyrics and the representation of women. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method, using Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutic approach with explanation and understanding model. Based on the analysis that has been done, it is found that the rhetoric of the lyrics of this song is a manifestation of all the author's worries about her partner's love, the author's sincerity reveals her shortcomings and even the author's courage in representing herself as a crazy woman, the author promises to be a better partner and leave all the bad traits of previous relationships. The results of the analysis of the song lyrics above also show the results that the song Rayuan Perempuan Gila, Nadin Amizah represents women as partners who are full of worries about the failure of past relationships to repeat, want to always be given answers and replies to feelings of love, women who are also figures who also have personalities that can make it difficult for their partners.

Abstract

Tiktok sebagai platform berbelanja yang dikategorikan efektif sebagai peluang bisnis, apalagi dengan adanya fitur tiktok affiliate yang dimana memberikan peluang terhadap masyarakat pengguna aplikasi. tetapi tidak semua orang dapat melakukannya karena ada beberapa tahapan yang harus diikuti. Sehingga banyak konten kreator yang memberikan konten edukasi mengenai fitur affiliate tiktok dan menjadi inspirasi masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membuat gambaran secara sistematis mengenai fakta dan  fenomena yang terjadi pada perubahan perilaku peminat tiktok affiliate. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivisme. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dari observasi dan wawancara terhadap 3 narasumber serta data sekunder diperoleh dari hasil referensi buku atau dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi tiktok berpengaruh besar terhadap perubahan perilaku masyarakat, salah satunya yaitu dengan adanya fitur Affiliate dan banyak nya masyarakat yang berhasil menjadikan fitur tersebut sebagai bisnis pribadi membuat masyarakat awam yang belum mengetahui tata cara penggunaan fitur tersebut terinspirasi dan ingin menjadi affiliator. Fitur tersebut juga membuat masyarakat dapat berkolaborasi dengan new media sebagai bisnis pribadi yaitu affiliate. Keberhasilan tersebut didapatkan dengan konsentrasi penuh dan belajar dengan membuka konten-konten edukasi mengenai Affiliate, dari hal tersebut dapat dibuktikan dengan keberhasilan Affiliator yang telah menginspirasi masyarakat dan menciptakan peluang untuk menambah penghasilan.

Abstract

This articles aims to analyze how the communication patterns of narcotics recidivists foster a positive self-concept. This research uses qualitative research with a field study approach. The primary data source in this research is the results of interviews and observations with narcotics recidivists and the North Sumatra Regional Police. The data collection techniques used in this thesis are in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the research show that there are two communication patterns that occur, namely interpersonal communication between recidivists and guards, and intrapersonal communication for emotional management. However, there are obstacles in implementing this positive self-concept. These barriers include two primary factors, namely the interaction of the recidivism environment and economic needs.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of interpersonal communication on adaptation, to analyze the influence of interpersonal communication on employee performance. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The population consists of active employees of PT Pertamina Lubricants (PTPL) Sales I Region SUMBAGUT, with a total sample of 50 respondents taken through total sampling at PTPL Sales Region I SUMBAGUT in 2024. Data analysis was performed using single tables, cross tables, t-test, and the Coefficient of Determination. The results showed Interpersonal Communication Strategies resulted in four strategies: 1). SO (Strength-Opportunity) Strategy by enhancing interactive communication between employees and supervisors to utilize supervisors who openly accept employee feedback, 2). ST (Strength-Threat) Strategy by developing interactive communication to overcome difficulties in discussing work issues with supervisors, 3). WO (Weakness-Opportunity) Strategy by improving communication among employees by leveraging supervisors who openly accept feedback, and 4). WT (Weakness-Threat) Strategy by developing two-way communication to overcome difficulties in speaking and obtaining support from supervisors.

Abstract

Social media has provided space for adolescents as a source of information in accessing sexuality knowledge that is still taboo to talk about. Sexuality information that is not of good quality and lacks verification will cause adolescents to develop an unbalanced and incorrect understanding of sexuality. This study aims to analyze the influence of information quality and source credibility through the adoption of social media information on the prevention of deviant sexual behaviour in the Youth Information and Counseling Center (PIKR) group in Palembang City. The theories used in this study are the Social Learning Theory and Information Adoption Model. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The population and sample in this study were PIKR groups in Palembang City totaling 275 respondents. Sampling using a total sampling technique. Data collection techniques using questionnaires distributed to research respondents. The research data were analyzed using single-table analysis, cross-table analysis and path analysis. The results showed that the quality of information and credibility of the source through the adoption of social media information affect the prevention of deviant sexual behaviour in PIKR groups in Palembang City. The implication of this study shows that improving the quality and credibility of information on social media is very important for the effectiveness of the prevention of deviant sexual behaviour among adolescents.

Abstract

The big impact of the presence of the Covid-19 has encouraged various parties to formulate and implement optimal strategies as a preventive measures. One of them through the application of clean and healthy living habits which are allegedly relevant increasing body endurance and then pushed into this community service program. As for this activity, the aim of this activity is to build awareness of clean and healthy living habits in the community partners of the union to help Dos Roha in Dwikora Helvetia Village, Medan. Based on good search data and direct observation, the partner’s condition is very vulnerable to the dangers of Covid-19. Most partners work in the informal sector with high mobility but asymmetrical towards clean and healthy living practices and seem to ignore health protocol such as washing hands, using mask and hand-sanitizer. Move from such a condition, this community service activity is presented as a solution medium by using several implementation methods namely, 1)socialization in the form of participatory lectures, 2)experimentation in the form of environmental cooperation and disinfectant spraying, 3)stimulation in the form of giving mask, hand-sanitizer and vitamin C. The level of enthusiasm of the community in the implementation of this activity is fairly high so that this activity is very positive in changing people’s attitude towards the implementation of clean and healthy living habits.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relational dialectical process of K-Pop Boyband fans with their parents, analyze the relational dialectic process of K-Pop Boyband fans with friends and analyze the relational dialectical obstacles of female K-Pop Boyband fans with their parents and friends. The research methodology that researchers use is a qualitative research method with a constructivist paradigm. The research results obtained are that the relational dialectical process of female K-Pop Boyband fans with their parents and friends includes four basic elements and four assumptions that exist in the dialectical perspective. The contradictions present in this relationship are shown by different views towards K-Pop and organized by the four research informants through three categories in the dialectic of interaction.

Abstract

Agrowisata Paloh Naga di Kecamatan Pantai Labu Deli Serdang merupakan salah satu contoh pengembangan pariwisata berbasis alam yang memadukan sektor pertanian dengan daya tarik wisata alam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengembangan agrowisata tersebut melalui perspektif filsafat fenomenologi, dengan fokus pada pengalaman subjektif pengunjung, masyarakat lokal, dan pengelola agrowisata. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan paradigma fenomenologis, yang bertujuan untuk menggali makna yang diberikan oleh individu terhadap interaksi mereka dengan alam, budaya, dan pertanian. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa agrowisata Paloh Naga memberikan dampak positif dalam aspek pemberdayaan masyarakat, dan perekonomian lokal. Pengunjung merasakan pengalaman yang mendalam terkait dengan pemberdayaan yang berkelanjutan dan kesadaran ekologis. Masyarakat lokal melihat agrowisata sebagai peluang untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan, meskipun ada tantangan dalam menjaga kelestarian tradisi budaya mereka. Pengelola agrowisata berupaya menjaga keseimbangan antara keberlanjutan alam, sosial, dan ekonomi. Dari perspektif fenomenologi, pengalaman yang tercipta membentuk makna yang lebih luas tentang hubungan manusia dengan alam dan budaya. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pendekatan inklusif dalam pengelolaan agrowisata, pengelolaan berbasis keberlanjutan, serta peningkatan program edukasi untuk memperkuat kesadaran ekologis bagi pengunjung dan masyarakat lokal.
