Abstract

This study uses a quantitative approach to analyze the factors that influence the use of QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) in the North Sumatra region. The model used is the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), which evaluates the influence of Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Usefulness on Attitude Toward Using and Behavioral Intention to Use QRIS. Data was collected through surveys and analyzed using path analysis to test the relationship between variables. The results showed that Perceived Ease of Use affects Perceived Usefulness and user attitude, which in turn affects behavioral intention to use QRIS. These findings confirm that the TAM model is effective in explaining the adoption of digital payment technology in North Sumatra. However, uneven digital infrastructure and low technological literacy are still the main challenges in increasing widespread adoption of QRIS. This research recommends improving digital access and education as strategic steps.

Abstract

Market anomaly is a deviation that occurs in the capital market. The existence of market anomalies (irregularities) then forms one of the phenomena that disrupts the efficient capital market hypothesis theory. This market anomaly rejects the hypothesis of the capital market efficiency concept which states that investors cannot predict prices and rates of return based on past stock prices due to random returns, but can be predicted based on the influence of the calendar or a certain period. So that this seasonal anomaly can be utilized by investors to obtain high abnormal returns. This study was conducted to test the effect of the Monday Effect and Ramadhan Effect phenomena on the returns of companies that apply the ESG concept in Indonesia for the period 2024. The sampling technique used in this study uses NonProbability Sampling, namely quota sampling. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of the analysis show that there is no Monday Effect and Ramadhan Effect phenomenon in Indonesia in 2024. So the Monday Effect and Ramadhan Effect phenomena do not affect the returns of companies that apply the ESG concept in Indonesia

Abstract

This research aims to analyze innovative strategies for collecting Third Party Funds (DPK) to enhance liquidity at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KC Pematangsiantar Perintis. Using a qualitative approach and a case study method, this study explores various strategies, including incentive programs such as Pesta Hadiah and Rezeki Berkah, which have proven effective in attracting and retaining customer funds. Digitalization also plays a key role through the development of the BSI Mobile (BYOND) application, QRIS promotion, and the provision of EDC machines to support non-cash transactions. Additionally, the financial inclusion strategy through the expansion of the BSI Smart Agent (BSA) network has helped reach customers in remote areas. The findings indicate that the combination of incentive strategies, digital services, and financial inclusion positively contributes to deposit growth and liquidity stability. Despite challenges such as limited customer trust in digital systems and constraints in equipment procurement, these innovative approaches have strengthened BSI’s position in the Islamic banking industry. Therefore, this strategy can serve as a model for other Islamic banks in optimizing liquidity management and improving competitiveness within the Islamic financial sector.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of boycott and brand image on the purchase decision of KFC products, with religiosity as a moderation variable in the Muslim community in North Sumatra. The survey was conducted on 100 Muslim respondents according to the research criteria. The analysis used Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with SPSS version 27. The results showed that: First, boycotts had a negative and significant effect on purchasing decisions, suggesting that the stronger the motivation of consumers to boycott, the lower their tendency to buy KFC products. Second, brand image also has a significant effect, where a positive brand image can increase consumers' intentions and decisions to make purchases. Third, simultaneously, these two variables (boycott and brand image) together contribute significantly to purchasing decisions, which means that consumers' decisions in purchasing KFC products are influenced by a combination of the two. Fourth, religiosity has been shown to moderate the relationship between boycott and brand image on purchasing decisions. In consumers with high levels of religiosity, the influence of boycotts becomes stronger in lowering purchasing decisions, while the influence of brand image becomes greater in driving purchases. This is evident from the regression equation Y = α + β1X1 + β2X2 + β3X3 + β4Z + β5X1Z + β5X2Z + β5X3Z + e. Overall, a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.674 indicates that 67.4% of the variation in purchasing decisions can be explained by a combination of boycotts, halal labels, and brand imagery, while the remaining 32.6% the rest is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises are vital to Indonesia’s economy, particularly in North Sumatra, yet face challenges in accessing Islamic banking financing due to internal and external barriers. This study aims to formulate strategies to enhance partnership-based financing for these enterprises in Islamic banks. Using the Analytic Network Process, the research involved nine key informants from academia, regulators, and Islamic bank practitioners, employing in-depth interviews and pairwise comparison questionnaires to map problem elements and prioritize solutions. The findings identify the lack of bank staff competence in understanding the characteristics of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises as the primary internal barrier, while reliance on personal capital by business owners is the main external challenge. Priority strategies include staff training, multi-stakeholder collaboration, digital promotion of partner enterprises’ products, and policies for margin subsidies and collaboration forums. This research offers a strategic framework for inclusive, sharia-compliant financing policies to support regional economic growth. However, its focus on North Sumatra and limited informant sample may restrict broader applicability. The framework provides actionable guidance for policymakers and banks to strengthen financing ecosystems, fostering sustainable development for these enterprises.
