Abstract

The massive spread of COVID 19 has disrupted the entire system of human life, including the education system. The policy decided by the Indonesian government regarding the learning process must be based online and the university's quick response by taking the initiative to use virtual classroom-based learning. However, with virtual classroom-based learning, independence is the main keyword for the success of student learning processes. The implementation of the virtual classroom-based learning process is based on constructivism theory. Student's initial knowledge becomes important in constructivist classes in achieving learning goals. This research is pre-experimental research with one shoot case study design. Determination of the research sample by purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 33 students of mathematics teacher candidates at Majalengka University. The statistical analysis used was Anova one path. The results showed that the scale of self-regulated learning for mathematics teacher candidates differed significantly based on initial knowledge categories (high, medium, and low). This study concludes that initial knowledge is an important part of student success in virtual classroom-based learning.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemauan guru menulis karya ilmiah, meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam menulis karya ilmiah, dan meningkatkan kemampuan penelusuran referensi di berbagai sumber. Pelaksanaan PKM didahului dengan pemberian informasi kepada Kepala Sekolah tentang kegiatan pelatihan yang akan dilakukan, memberikan undangan kepada guru yang akan menjadi peserta pelatihan, melaksanakan pelatihan, dan membuat laporan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan. Materi yang disampaikan pada saat pelatihan ialah: 1) Urgensi penulisan karya tulis ilmiah untuk peningkatan karir dan pengetahuan tenaga pendidik, 2) Strategi penulisan karya ilmiah prosiding dan jurnal, 3) Macam-macam jurnal ilmiah, dan 4) Sistimatika artikel prosiding dan jurnal. Peserta juga mendapatkan bimbingan penulisan karya tulis ilmiah pada kegiatan tutorial dan praktik penulisan karya tulis ilmiah. Peserta pelatihan sebanyak 23 guru SD di Kecamatan Cikijing. Setelah pelatihan, hasil yang didapatkan ialah: 1) meningkatnya kemauan guru menulis karya ilmiah, 2) meningkatnya kemampuan guru dalam menulis karya ilmiah, 3) meningkatnya kemampuan penelusuran referensi di berbagai sumber, dan 4) peserta mengetahui macam-macam jurnal ilmiah di Universitas Majalengka yang dapat dipergunakan untuk mempublikasikan karya ilmiah mereka.

Abstract

E-Learning is a form of learning that utilizes internet facilities in the learning process. The learning process through e-learning can be done anytime and anywhere. This training activity is intended so that trainees get a good understanding of e-learning using the google classroom and moodle platforms. The method of implementing this activity is divided into three main stages, namely planning, implementation and evaluation. Participants in the training consisted of teachers from MTs and MA Siti Khadijah Majalengka. Based on the results of data processing, it can be concluded that e-learning can make learning anytime and anywhere. Based on the results of the processing it was found that 50% of the training participants stated that e-learning was very important and 50% stated it was important. Participants stated that through this training activity an increase in understanding about e-learning, ie 33.3% of participants were very understanding and the remaining 66.7% answered understanding

Abstract

Profesionalisme merupakan kompetensi yang wajib dimiliki seorang guru. Profesionalisme guru dituntut agar terus berkembang sesuai dengan perkembangan jaman, ilmu pengetahuan, serta kebutuhan masyarakat termasuk kebutuhan terhadap sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas dan memiliki kapabilitas untuk mampu bersaing baik di forum regional, nasional, mapupun internasional. Salah satu wujud pengembangan keprofesian guru adalah dengan menulis karya ilmiah. Melalui karya tulis ilmiah guru dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulisnya, melatih diri untuk dapat mengintegrasikan beberapa ide serta menyajikannya secara sistematis. Namun kebanyakan guru belum sepenuhnya menyadari tentang pentingnya publikasi untuk karya tulis ilmiahnya. Hal ini tercermin dari masih rendahnya kompetensi guru, khususnya pada aspek profesionalisme. Kondisi inilah yang memotivasi pelaksana pengabdian untuk melaksanakan kegiatan pelatihan publikasi ilmiah pada guru. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada guru tentang publikasi karya ilmiah pada jurnal elektronik. Metode yang akan digunakan dalam program ini adalah metode seminar, diskusi, dan pelatihan. Dari hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, diperoleh hasil adanya peningkatan pemahaman guru tentang jurnal elektronik, dan mampu melakukan proses publikasi ilmiah pada jurnal elektronik.

Abstract

Pemerintah Indonesia telah memberikan komitmen besar pada tataran global dan nasional untuk kesejahteraan anak, termasuk komitmen untuk mewujudkan Agenda Pembangunan Berkelanjutan 2030. Kondisi kesejahteraan anak saat ini adalah penanda penting bagi kemajuan Indonesia dalam mewujudkan Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan. Proses tumbuh kembang sangat terkait dengan faktor kesehatan, dengan kata lain hanya pada anak yang sehat dapat diharapkan terjadi proses tumbuh kembang yang optimal. Meskipun proses tumbuh kembang anak berlangsung secara alamiah, proses tersebut sangat tergantung kepada orang dewasa atau orang tua. Anak yang sehat, cerdas, berpenampilan menarik, dan berakhlak mulia merupakan dambaan setiap orang tua. Agar dapat mencapai hal tersebut terdapat berbagai kriteria yang harus terpenuhi dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak, salah satunya adalah faktor keturunan atau genetika. Namun, selain faktor keturunan masih terdapat faktor lain yang mempengaruhi kualitas seorang anak. Kualitas seorang anak dapat dinilai dari proses tumbuh kembang. Berdasarkan data setelah dilakukan peserta pelatihan yakni ibu-ibu muda yang mempunyai bayi 0-3 tahun dapat memiliki pemahaman dan keterampilan Teknik baby spa dan mampu diberdayakan untuk pemantauan tumbuh kembang bayi dan pemenuhan psikologi bayi, melalui pelatihan stimulasi yang baik dan benar

Abstract

Intuition is the first way humans get knowledge. A worker in making a traditional West Java house works using his experience to be able to determine how many building materials are needed to become a house. The roof of the house is one part that is quite complicated to determine the amount of wood needed. Workers using intuition based on experience that has been experienced greatly determine the accuracy of the measure. Through this research, the researcher hopes that the method of determining the amount of wood used to make the roof (suhunan) of houses in West Java has added scientific value because it is related to existing mathematical concepts. The subjects of this study were workers who made traditional houses in West Java Regency. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. This study aims to describe an in-depth study of how to determine the amount of wood used to make traditional houses and its relation to mathematical concepts. The results showed that the workers who made the traditional houses started outing for the first time by calculating the number of wood chips needed to make the KAP intact to make the roof from it, they were easier to determine the amount of wood needed.

Abstract

The problem-solving ability is still a big problem for students. Many studies show that Indonesian students are still low in solving math problems. One thing that is needed in solving problems is self-resilience, so that students have resilience in facing problems. This study aims to analyze the differences in problem-solving abilities of pre-service elementary school teacher in terms of self-resilience. This study used a Quasi-Experiment method with the type Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group. The population of this study were all elementary school teacher candidates at Majalengka University with a sample of 60 respondent. This study resulted in a significant difference in the increase in problem-solving abilities of student-teacher candidates. Based on Self Resilience, the group of students who received Problem Based Learning had higher problem-solving abilities than the group of students who received expository learning. Mathematical problem-solving ability requires students to have self-resilience because in solving problems, a person needs to have confidence in his ability to face problems.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi statistika merupakan salah satu aspek pentingpembelajaran matematika yang perlu di kuasai oleh mahasiswa.Beberapa hasil studi menggambarkan kemampuan literasi satistikamasih belum memuaskan. Alternatif yang dapat meningkatkankemampuan literasi statsitika adalah penggunaan pembelajaranberbasis masalah. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk menganalisisperbadaan kemampuan literasi statistika dan implikasi terhadap prosespembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Pre-Eksperimentdengan tipe One-shot Case Study. Populasi penelitian ini adalahseluruh mahasiswa administrasi publik di Universitas Majalengka,dengan sampel sebanyak 60 orang. Penelitian ini menghasilkan adanyaperbedaan signifikan kemampuan lietarasi statistika. Implikasiterhadap proses pembelajaran berbasis masalah, penting untukmempersiapkan materi ajar yang berdasarkan kebutuhan siswa tidakhanya sebatas bagaimana membuat aktivitas siswa mengkontruksipengetahuannya.

Abstract

Statistik dalam pendidikan berguna untuk memecahkan masalah yang dihadapi guru dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas, seperti mengumpulkan data hasil tes, mengolahnya, dan menyajikannya dalam buku raport. Oleh karena itu, calon guru perlu memiliki keterampilan literasi statistik yang baik. Namun, banyak calon guru masih kesulitan memahaminya, terutama mereka yang tidak memiliki latar belakang keterampilan matematika yang baik. Kondisi ini terjadi pada calon guru di jurusan Pendidikan Agama Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan literasi statistika calon guru di Jurusan Pendidikan Agama Islam berdasarkan indikator literasi statistika. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mendeskripsikan keterampilan literasi statistika mahasiswa sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai bahan penelitian selanjutnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 32 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan tes literasi statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 81,25% siswa mampu memahami data statistik yang ditampilkan dalam bentuk diagram garis; 87,50% siswa dapat menyajikan data dalam diagram yang sesuai, dan hanya 37,50% siswa yang mampu menginterpretasikan data dari kasus yang diberikan.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the possibility of learning obstacles in the concept of Geometric Transformation based on the meaning of the Geometric Transformation concept that students have regarding their experience in obtaining the definition of the Geometric Transformation concept. This study uses a qualitative method and Didactical Design Research for methodological framework that contains three stages of analysis: prospective, metapedadidactic, and retrospective. Teachers who will carry out the learning reflection process based on didactical design research were chosen through purposive sampling as research participants. Forty-eight students took the written test, and then six students were selected by purposive sampling to participate in in-depth interviews. Data analysis was carried out descriptively by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The result indicates that the meaning of the concept of Geometry Transformation, according to students, was the mapping of points in a plane to a set of points in the same plane; the existence of inconsistencies and ambiguity of meaning, and the emergence of the findings of other meaning units of Geometric Transformation concepts. The experience of student meaning shows a tendency for students to get a sense from what is taught by teachers and books with more procedurally oriented concept meanings. Based on the purpose and experience of students' definition, there are learning obstacles in the Geometric Transformation concept, including ontogenic obstacles, epistemological obstacles, and didactical obstacles. These learning obstacles can be a valuable consideration for improving and developing learning designs related to the concept of Geometric Transformation.
