Abstract

Mathematical connection ability is the ability to connect math subjects with other subjects or with other topics. Blended learning model is a teaching and learning strategy that aims to achieve learning objectives by combining classroom-based/face-to-face learning with technology-based learning conducted online. The objectives in this study were to determine: 1) the effect of blended learning model on the numerical ability of students by controlling the learning motivation of junior high school students, 2) the effect of the covariate variable of learning motivation on the mathematical connection ability of junior high school students, 3) the simultaneous effect of blended learning model and learning motivation on the mathematical connection ability of junior high school students.The sampling technique used Cluster Random Sampling. The instrument used in this research is a description test of mathematical connection ability and learning motivation questionnaire, on pytagoras material. The results of the study showed the effect of blended learning model on the numerical ability of students by controlling the learning motivation of junior high school students, the effect of covariate variables of learning motivation on the mathematical connection ability of junior high school students and the simultaneous effect of blended learning model on the mathematical connection ability of junior high school students. ABSTRAKKemampuan Koneksi matematis merupakan kemampuan dalam menguhubungkan mata pelajaran matematika dengan mata pelajaran lainnya atau dengan topik lain. Motivasi belajar adalah suatu keadaan yang terdapat pada diri seseorang individu dimana ada suatu dorongan untuk melakukan sesuatu guna mencapai tujuan.Model pembelajaran Blended Learning adalah sebuah strategi belajar mengajar yang bertujuan untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran dengan cara memadukan pembelajaran berbasis kelas/tatap muka dengan pembelajaran berbasisteknologi yang dilakukan secara online. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: 1) pengaruh model blended learning terhadap kemampuan numerik peserta didik dengan mengontrol motivasi belajar SMP, 2) pengaruh variabel kovariat motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik SMP, 3) pengaruh secara simultan model pembelajaran blended learning dan motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik SMP.Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Cluster Random Sampling. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitia ini berupa tes uraian kemampuan koneksi matematis dan angket motivasi belajar, pada materi pytagoras. Hasil dari penelitian adanya pengaruh model blended learning terhadap kemampuan numerik peserta didik dengan mengontrol motivasi belajar peserta didik SMP, adanya pengaruh variabel kovariat motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik SMP dan adanya pengaruh secara simultan model pembelajaran blended learning dan motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik SMP.

Abstract

The development of technology in the 5.0 era, it is possible for students to use technology-based learning media. Such as interactive learning media that combines video, animation and audio so that it allows users to interact and understand the material. and increase learning that is more interesting and interactive. This research aims to determine the number of developments in research publications from 2017-2023 on Google Scholar, the level of researcher productivity, and a map of research developments. The method used is descriptive research with a quantitative approach using bibliometric analysis for publication mapping with the help of VOSviewer. Data collection techniques use the Publish or Perish application. The research results show that the development of publications in 2017-2023 with the highest G   oogle Scholar searches in 2023 was 57 publications with a percentage of 32.57%. The most productive authors in research are Supriadi, N., Sunaryo, S., Umbara, U., Yusuf, D., and Risdianto, E., with a total of 3 journal/article publications. The development map based on keywords produces 7 clusters. Meanwhile, the development map of research publications based on authors produces 156 clusters.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' mathematical critical thinking skills and self-efficacy in mathematics learning at MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung. Critical thinking skills are essential 21st-century competencies required for students to solve problems logically and systematically, while self-efficacy reflects individuals' confidence in tackling learning challenges. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative method, collecting data through tests, questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects include grade IX students categorized into high, moderate, and low critical thinking skills, as well as mathematics teachers as supporting informants.The findings reveal that students' critical thinking skills are generally low, with only a few students meeting all critical thinking indicators. This low ability is attributed to monotonous learning processes that lack active student engagement. Furthermore, self-efficacy was found to have a positive relationship with critical thinking skills. Students with high self-efficacy demonstrated greater confidence in solving mathematical problems and exhibited more structured thinking patterns compared to those with moderate or low self-efficacy. The study recommends implementing more varied and student-centered learning models, such as problem-based learning, to enhance critical thinking skills and self-efficacy. Additionally, teachers play a crucial role in creating a supportive learning environment and providing motivation to students, which significantly contributes to improving these two aspects. Consequently, mathematics learning is expected to become more effective and contribute to the development of students' competencies in facing future educational challenges.

Abstract

This study is motivated by students’ difficulties in deeply understanding mathematical concepts, as indicated by a dominant procedural thinking pattern. This difficulty is reflected in students struggling to comprehend prerequisite materials, connect concepts with real-life contexts, restate concepts, distinguish examples from non-examples, and apply algorithms in problem-solving, along with limited relevance to daily life. The current learning approach does not emphasize meaningful conceptual understanding related to green education, nor has it incorporated innovative media such as digital comics in the learning process. This study aims to examine the development process, attractiveness, and effectiveness of digital comic media based on the Green Education approach in improving students’ mathematical conceptual understanding. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The results show that the digital comic media received an average feasibility score of 3.58 from media validation experts and 3.56 from content validation experts, both categorized as “Feasible.” Attractiveness testing on a small scale yielded a score of 3.35 and on a large scale 3.45, both classified as “Very Attractive.” Effectiveness evaluation using the Gain Index test resulted in a score of 0.67, categorized as “Moderate,” while the N-Gain score percentage was 67%, categorized as “Fairly Effective.

Abstract

Hasil belajar dalam pembelajaran matematika merupakan indikator penting dalam menilai kualitas pendidikan dan keberhasilan akademik peserta didik. Sejumlah penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gender dapat memengaruhi hasil belajar, khususnya dalam pembelajaran matematika. Namun, penelitian yang ada cenderung bersifat lokal dan terpisah-pisah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tren penelitian global, kontribusi penulis, keterlibatan institusi, dan perkembangan tema dalam bidang hasil belajar dalam pembelajaran matematika berdasarkan gender dengan pendekatan bibliometrik dari tahun 2019-2024. Data diperoleh dari Google Scholar melalui bantuan Publish or Perish dengan jumlah 996, kemudian dilakukan eliminasi kriteria sehingga di dapat 86 artikel dan selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak VOSviewer. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif untuk mengidentifikasi jaringan kolaborasi penulis, keterkaitan kata kunci, serta tren publikasi dalam lima tahun terakhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa topik ini mengalami peningkatan signifikan dengan tema dominan seperti perbedaan gender, prestasi belajar siswa, dan kinerja matematika. Artikel dengan tingkat sitasi tertinggi terjadi pada tahun 2020 sebanyak 1061 kutipan. Negara dengan sitasi tertinggi adalah Indonesia. Institusi yang menempati posisi tertinggi berasal dari Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Jurnal dengan posisi teratas adalah Journal of Physics: Conference Series. Penulis Jonathan Olores Etcuban menduduki peringkat pertama dengan jumlah dokumen terbanyak yaitu 3 dokumen, dan penulis dengan sitasi tertinggi adalah Muhammad Syazali dan Rofiqul Umam dengan 399 kutipan. Analisisis bibliometrik menggunakan VOSviewer mengidentifikasi 9 cluster kata kunci. Studi ini juga membahas tantangan seperti keterbatasan akses data bibliometrik yang memerlukan kehati-hatian dalam interpretasi hasil analisis dan ketidakkonsistenan penggunaan istilah.

Abstract

This study presents a bibliometric analysis of game-based learning to improve students’ mathematics achievement using Google Scholar data. A total of 29 relevant articles were analyzed with Publish or Perish and VOSviewer. The results show a rising trend in publications from 2021 to 2024, reflecting growing interest in the topic. Keyword mapping generated 12 clusters with dominant terms like “game-based learning” and “learning outcomes.” Emerging terms such as “critical thinking” and “interactive media” suggest future research potential. Wordwall and Quizizz were the most frequently cited platforms. This study provides an overview of current trends and future research opportunities.

Abstract

The ability to solve mathematical problems can be interpreted as a potential possessed by students so that they can solve mathematical problems in solving mathematical problems. This quantitative research explains the mathematical problem-solving ability of students by implementing the SOLE (Self Organized Learning Environments) learning model and self-regulated learning of students as a controller. This study aims to determine the effect of the SOLE learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities by controlling self-regulated learning and the effect of self-regulated learning covariate variables on students' mathematical problem solving abilities, as well as the simultaneous effect of the SOLE learning model and self-regulated learning on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. Participants in this study totaled 61 students in junior high school, with details of 30 students studying using the SOLE model and 31 students studying with the conventional model. The tools used to collect data are questionnaires and essay tests. The hypothesis test uses the one-way ancova test, the result of the hypothesis test is that there is an influence of the SOLE learning model on students' mathematical problem-solving ability by controlling self-regulated learning and there is an influence of self-regulated learning covariate variables on students' mathematical problem-solving ability, and there is a simultaneous influence of the SOLE learning model and self-regulated learning on mathematical problem-solving ability.

Abstract

The ability that can support success in the learning process and can solve various mathematical problems is the ability to solve mathematical problems. This research is related to quantitative research which examines students' mathematical problem solving abilities using the HLT model and mathematical disposition as covariate variables. This research aims to determine the effect of the HLT model on mathematical problem solving abilities by controlling students' mathematical dispositions, and the influence of mathematical dispositions on students' mathematical problem solving abilities, as well as the simultaneous influence of the HLT model and mathematical disposition on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. 70 junior high school students using cluster random sampling, where 35 students studied using the HLT model and 35 students studied using the direct instruction model. The tools used to collect data are a mathematical disposition questionnaire and a description test of mathematical problem solving abilities. This data analysis uses analysis of covariance (one-way ANCOVA). The results of the hypothesis test show that there is an influence of the mathematical disposition covariate variable by controlling students' mathematical disposition and there is an influence of the mathematical disposition covariate variable on students' mathematical problem solving abilities, and there is a simultaneous influence of the HLT model and mathematical disposition on students' mathematical problem solving abilities

Abstract

This study aims to conduct bibliometric mapping of research and publication developments related to dominating graphs in the period from 2015 to 2024. The data was obtained through the google scholar database using Publish or Perish software with the keyword "Dominating Graph". The metadata collected was focused on journal articles in the 2015-2024 time frame, the maximum result was set at 1000, resulting in a total of 930 documents. The data is exported to collect all information related to article titles, authors, cities, references, and keywords, so that it can be easy to enter references with the help of VOSViewer software. The results of the study show a significant trend of increasing the number of publications in 2018 and decreasing in the following years. Visualization using Network, Overlay, and Density Visualization shows that the themes and relationships between relevant research topics have been successfully identified, providing new insights for the development of future graph dominating research

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the global education paradigm, including in Indonesia which has adopted distance learning to avoid the spread of the virus. In this context, the use of the google classroom digital platform has become very relevant. This study explores the development and publication trends related to the use of google classroom in mathematics learning from 0-2024 years. By utilizing the Scopus database and Publish or Perish software, the analysis showed a significant spike in the number of 121 documents, through the results of screening into 100 articles using the DOI format. 2021 recorded the highest number of citations, with Indonesia as the leading country and Indonesia University of Education as the top institution. University College London recorded the highest number of citations, while the Journal of Physics: Conference Series dominated the publication. Author Dadang Juandi ranked first, while Melissa Bond received the highest citation for an article on "Facilitating Student Engagement Through the Flipped Learning Approach in K-12". Bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer identified 13 keyword clusters with new themes such as learning style, game-based learning, and numerical analysis that emerged as potential research topics. The study also highlights analytical challenges such as data limitations and difficulty in interpreting results. Cross-agency and international collaboration is expected to encourage innovation in this field.
