Abstract

Abstract Received: Revised: Accepted: Statistics has a very important role in physics especially in understanding and analyzing experimental data and in explaining physical phenomena involving many particles or complex systems. Some of the basics of statistics in physics include descriptive statistics, probability distributions, inferential statistics, Boltzmann distribution and Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution, quantum statistics, statistical theory, Monte Carlo methods, and weakness theory. Statistics is an important tool in physics for processing and analyzing experimental data, modeling the behavior of physical systems, and making predictions based on probability. This helps physicists understand the complex world of physics and contributes to the development of better physical theories. (*)

Abstract

At every change in time that occurs, there are lots of things that change at any time. This is because it is influenced by a person's curiosity about something new and wanting to do it with the knowledge they have obtained. So this creates a change in the world because it is based on curiosity towards science. In making a change that is based on this knowledge, there must be an attitude of appreciation and selectivity regarding the knowledge obtained from the surrounding environment in order to avoid confusion in science. Based on this, the researcher conducted a study of several reference sources related to science related to the role of science in developing society. Because human science and science have a relationship in life, which is found in a curiosity about science. Based on this discussion, the researchers linked it to several related matters, including; the relationship between humans and science, examples of science in society, the benefits of studying science and the goals of science in society.

Abstract

The scientific method is the main foundation in the world of scientific research. The scientific method has been systematically arranged, structured and based on evidence which is used by scientists to conduct scientific research. This article discusses the basic principles of the scientific method, its steps, why you should follow the basic principles and steps of the scientific method, and explains how the scientific method can be integrated into physics education to create a learning environment that focuses on experimentation, observation, and data analysis. This method also encourages students to develop research and creative thinking skills. The aim of the scientific method is to obtain evidence of real and tested results from a problem, so that it can add new discoveries for researchers and new knowledge for the world. Explaining a physics curriculum based on the scientific method can increase students' interest in science and prepare them to face the challenges of our increasingly interconnected and science-based society. This article is based on the results of a previous review of related journals which provides a research basis and in-depth information about the role of the scientific method, then connects it to physics education.

Abstract

In this era of globalization, science and technology have become an integral part of human life. There are interpreation and interdependency between science, technology and society. Almost all aspects of adult human life are surrounded by problems containing scientific implications. Therefore, the literacy and technological literacy) for all citizens have become a vulnerable demands so that we are able to utilize science and technology for humanity, able to make decisions based on scientific concepts, and are able to search and use scientific information in solving problems faced in everyday life. The negative effects of developments of icteks and globalization are significantly in all parts of the world, including in Indonesia. There has been a degradation of characters such as 1) reduced sense of responsibility, 2) reduced respect, 3) Increased victims, 4) reduced discipline, 5) slump of work ethic, 6) degenerate ethics, 7) reduced manners, 8) thundering the sense of concern and so on. To solve the problem, it is necessary to seek the science education model that can lead to students to become citizens that are literacy of science and technology and character. One of the science learning models that are able to contribute to the formation of the insances of science and technology literacy and are able to grow developing the character of the students is the learning model of the science-technology-society. Research Research Sadia, et al. (2014) shows that the application of STM learning model is effective in developing the character of students who includes discipline, honesty, creativity, hard work, curiosity, communicative, concern, and responsibility.

Abstract

It is recognized that efforts to break the dichotomy between values and science philosophically has received great attention from scientists, not only from the group itself, but also from religious group, especially after realizing the negative impact of scientific progress today with all its derivatives. However in this paper the writer studies from the perspective of learning methodology. This aspect is very crucial since science and religion could be integrated successfully when there is a valid and proper learning methodology. Through a study of science and value characteristic, integration between science and value is possible to be conducted. Therefore, methodology of learning which supports the integration of science and values can be done in some approaches and methods. They are strategy of learning, model of reflective learning, and model of collective decision making learning.

Abstract

For the world of education, students must know how energy occurs and the types of energy. Therefore, good learning is needed which can be learned in schools. Science learning is material that provides knowledge of the natural surroundings that students must master, one of which is energy issues. The current physics learning media that is often used by schools is textbook-based learning media, posters and practical media. Like books, students have to read them and sometimes it's boring, while posters must have explanations, and practical media must have tools and guides. Looking at the existing learning media, there is a need for interactive learning media related to energy based on animation and audio and video explanations. This animation-based interactive learning media related to energy is built based on basic physics material at senior high school (SMA) level which focuses on basic learning about energy and types of energy. The interactive system built is an experiment with basic energy formulas which are input directly into the application with a multimedia-based learning concept. Abstract

Era globalisasi dan kemajuan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi (IPTEK) saat ini digambarkan seperti pedang bermata dua. Di satu sisi teknologi memberikan kemudahan dan percepatan, sehingga pekerjaan manusia menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien. Di sisi lain, iklim keterbukaan di era global dan kecanggihan teknologi telah menggeser nilai-nilai budaya lokal dan mendorongnya ke arah degradasi moral seperti yang kita lihat dalam kehidupan nyata akhir-akhir ini. Sedangkan sains (Fisika, Biologi, Kimia) dengan sifat keilmuannya berkaitan erat dengan kehidupan, fenomena alam semesta, serta hakikat pembelajaran yang mengutamakan 4 ranah: sikap, proses, produk, dan teknologi sebagai bentuk penerapan ilmu, keberadaannya. sangatlah penting khususnya untuk mengembangkan nilai-nilai sikap ilmiah seperti: kejujuran, keuletan, tanggung jawab, disiplin, rasa ingin tahu, dan lain-lain sebagaimana sikap yang dimiliki oleh seorang ilmuwan (scientist). Pengintegrasian nilai-nilai etika dalam pembelajaran IPA merupakan solusi alternatif yang strategis untuk mengatasi degradasi moral di masyarakat dan di lingkungan pendidikan masyarakat. Pengintegrasian nilai-nilai karakter pada jenjang pendidikan formal dapat dimulai dalam pembelajaran intrakurikuler di tingkat kelas atau dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di lingkungan sekolah, pendidikan keluarga (pendidikan informal), dan pendidikan di lingkungan masyarakat (pendidikan nonformal). Pengintegrasian karakter dalam pembelajaran IPA sejalan dengan pendekatan saintifik yang diamanatkan dalam Kurikulum 2013 yang mencakup 5 hal: mengamati, menanya, menalar, mencoba, dan mengkomunikasikan. Keberhasilan mengintegrasikan pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran IPA tidak terlepas dari peran guru IPA sebagai faktor kuncinya. Untuk menghadapi tantangan “siswa masa kini” dengan segala karakteristiknya, guru harus beradaptasi menjadi “guru sains modern” dengan segala konsekuensinya terutama dalam hal paradigma pengajaran antara lain: penentuan metode, media, penilaian, sumber bahan ajar, dan lain-lain.

Abstract

This article aims to find out statistics on the interest of Physics Education students at FKIP Jember University from 2019 to 2023. This research approach uses quantitative descriptive because the data process is in the form of numbers and is described in descriptions. Statistics is a science that studies how to plan, collect, analyze and interpret until finally presenting data. The enthusiasm of Jember University FKIP Physics Education students that emerged was generated from questionnaire data which included several questions that had reached the interest questions of Jember University FKIP Physics Education students which resulted in: 1) Interested in Physics Education with a percentage result of 62.35%, 2) Not interested in Physics Education with a percentage result of 37.65%, 3) Students who make Physics Education their first choice with a percentage result of 59.4%, 4) Students who make Physics Education a backup choice with a percentage result of 40.6%, 5) Students who felt that Physics Education met expectations with a percentage result of 62.3%, 6) Students who felt they were in the wrong major in Physics Education with a percentage result of 37.7%. This can be seen from the large percentage of questionnaire results.

Abstract

Abstrak Masalah yang dihadapi para guru ini adalah merancang pembelajaran yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan karakterisik belajar siswa yang beragam, baik yang regular maupun anak berkebutuhan khusus. Salah satu strategi yang bisa dilakukan untuk mengupayakan hal tersebut di era Merdeka Belajar ini adalah dengan Pembelajaran Differensiasi. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran berdiferesnsiasi melibatkan unsur yang menjadi fokus pembelajaran abad 21. Tujuan kegiatan pelatihan ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai pembelajaran berdiferensiasi sehingga kualitas pembelajaran sesuai tuntutan abad 21 dapat terpenuhi dalam era merdeka belajar ini. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pemberian materi oleh narasumber, diskusi serta tanya jawab antara peserta dengan narasumber, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Pelatihan dilakukan pada 9 guru SMP Negeri 4 Sukowono pada Mei , Juni dan Juli 2024. Pada akhir pelatihan, peserta melakukan posttest  dan mengisi survei melalui angket respon yang hasilnya diukur menggunakan Skala Likert, dan diperoleh nilai rata-rata 80 dan skor 87% untuk komponen pengetahuan peserta. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari isian posttest dan angket respon menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan peserta pelatihan mengenai pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Antusiasme peserta terlihat dari keaktifan mengikuti keseluruhan kegiatan pelatihan. Kata kunci: pelatihan; guru; pembelajaran diferensiasi. Abstract The problem faced by these teachers is designing learning that is able to meet the needs of the diverse learning characteristics of students, both regular and children with special needs. One strategy that can be used to achieve this in this era of Independent Learning is Differentiated Learning. The implementation of differentiated learning involves elements that are the focus of 21st century learning. The aim of this training activity is to increase knowledge about differentiated learning so that the quality of learning according to the demands of the 21st century can be met in this era of independent learning. Implementation methods include providing material by resource persons, discussions and questions and answers between participants and resource persons, mentoring and evaluation. The training was conducted on 9 teachers at SMP Negeri 4 Sukowono in May and June 2024. At the end of the training, participants took a posttest and filled out a survey via a response questionnaire, the results of which were measured using a Likert Scale, and obtained an average score of 80 and a score of 87% for the participants' knowledge component. Based on data obtained from the posttest and response questionnaire, it shows that there has been an increase in the training participants' knowledge regarding differentiated learning. The enthusiasm of the participants can be seen from their active participation in all training activities. Keywords: training; teachers; differentiated learning.
