Abstract

This community service activity aims to empower farmer groups in Tonasa Village through the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as a strategy to enhance the local economy. The implementation method was carried out in stages, including observation, program planning, socialization, training, and continuous assistance. The results show an increase in farmers' skills in managing businesses, processing agricultural products into value-added goods, and understanding basic management and marketing principles.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have a significant contribution to the national economy, but still face major obstacles in the form of limited access to capital that hinders business development. This study aims to examine strategies that can be implemented by MSME actors in obtaining financing sources that are appropriate to their needs and business capacity. The capital alternatives analyzed include formal financing such as bank loans and non-bank financial institutions, as well as informal financing through cooperatives, venture capital, and digital-based financial technology. The results of the study indicate that effective strategies in obtaining capital include increasing financial literacy, preparing measurable business plans, strengthening business management, and utilizing financial technology to expand access to funding. By implementing these strategies, MSMEs have the potential to increase competitiveness, expand markets, and contribute more optimally to national economic growth.

Abstract

Kemampuan berbicara di depan umum merupakan keterampilan penting yang mendukung komunikasi efektif dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Namun, masih banyak masyarakat yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menyampaikan ide dan pendapat secara lisan dengan percaya diri. Kegiatan pelatihan public speaking ini dilaksanakan di Desa Jenetallasa dengan tujuan meningkatkan kemampuan masyarakat dalam berbicara di depan umum. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan mengombinasikan penyampaian materi teori dan praktik langsung, sehingga peserta dapat memahami sekaligus menerapkan teknik public speaking yang baik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan peserta dalam menyampaikan materi, mengelola rasa gugup, serta meningkatkan kepercayaan diri saat berbicara di depan umum. Dengan demikian, pelatihan public speaking ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi masyarakat dan mendorong partisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan sosial dan pembangunan desa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyse the appropriate marketing strategies to increase salt sales. This study was conducted in the coastal area of Nasara, Bangkala District, Jeneponto. The type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection was carried out through interviews with respondents who were the main informants in this study. The population in this study were women salt sellers along the coast of Nasara, Jeneponto Regency. The sampling method used purposive sampling with a sample size of 15 respondents. Data analysis used the IFAS, EFAS and SWOT analysis techniques. The results of the analysis included the S-O Strategy, which is to utilise the local image as a salt production centre through local branding, affordable prices, digital promotion, partnerships with local businesses, and capacity building through government training programmes. The W-O Strategy involves overcoming weaknesses through processing and packaging training, business assistance for PIRT permits, establishing cooperatives, utilising modern and traditional distribution channels, providing attractive kiosks, and digital media-based promotion. The S-T Strategy involves maintaining the quality and authenticity of local salt, building customer loyalty, and managing supplies to anticipate price fluctuations and seasonal changes. The W-T strategy involves forming cooperatives to overcome capital and distribution constraints, diversifying products, and developing emergency production plans with warehouse storage support.

Abstract

This study investigated the role of AI tools in English for Business learning, identifies the challenges students face when using these tools, and proposes ethical considerations for their academic use. The researcher employed a descriptive qualitative research design and used purposive sampling to select the participants. The participants consisted of 104 students from STIE Tri Dharma Nusantara. The additional participants were four English lecturers, who discussed the challenges of students’ use of AI from their perspectives and offered consideration for ethical AI use in academic contexts. Data were collected through classroom observations, questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews with 6 students. The findings revealed that AI tools play four major roles in English for Business learning: facilitating effective and efficient learning processes, enhancing business communication competencies, serving as references and models, and acting as catalysts for learning rather than substitutes for educators. Survey results indicate moderate to high levels of AI usage among students. However, several challenges were identified, including unnatural or overly general language output, limited contextual and cultural understanding, reduced critical thinking, increased risk of plagiarism, diminished learning motivation, and lower self-confidence. Lecturers highlighted issues related to the similarity of students’ work and the difficulty in assessing genuine understanding. In response, this study emphasizes the importance of ethical AI integration through effective prompt design and positioning AI as a supportive learning assistant grounded in students’ prior knowledge.
