Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kondisi perkerasan jalan di ruas Jalan Taman Siswa, Kota Brebes, dengan menerapkan metode Pavement Condition Index (PCI). Ruas jalan yang menjadi objek penelitian memiliki panjang 1,9 km dan lebar 5 meter, di mana telah ditemukan berbagai jenis kerusakan pada permukaan jalannya. Data primer diperoleh melalui survei lapangan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis, dimensi, dan tingkat kerusakan jalan, sedangkan data sekunder menggunakan laporan penelitian terdahulu dan gambar teknis. Hasil survei menunjukkan dua jenis kerusakan utama, yaitu pelepasan butir (weathering) dan retak memanjang (longitudinal & tranverse cracking). Berdasarkan perhitungan PCI, nilai rata-rata kondisi perkerasan jalan adalah 61 yang masuk kategori cukup baik (Good). Penanganan kerusakan meliputi penambalan aspal, pengisian retakan dengan material khusus dan perkuatan lapisan aspal pada area tertentu. Strategi pemeliharan yang direkomendasikan meliputi rehabilitasi sistem drainase untuk mengurangi risiko genangan air, pemeliharaan rutin melalui inspeksi kerusakan ringan, dan pelapisan ulang secara berkala. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi landasan dalam menentukan skala prioritas perbaikan serta merancang strategi pemeliharaan jalan secara optimal

Abstract

Accidents occur on various road terrains that cause drivers to experience losses from property to fatalities. Prof. Hamka Street and Siliwangi Street are located in the city of Semarang where Prof. Hamka Street is a road with a hilly topography while Siliwangi Street is a flat road. Problems occur on these road sections such as the many accidents that result in fatalities. The existing problems need to be addressed immediately so that they can reduce the risk of accidents in the future. The stages carried out first analyze the characteristics of accidents and vulnerable locations so that they know the most appropriate handling points and recommendations. In determining the location points prone to accidents using the EAN and UCL methods while in identifying the hazards of vulnerable locations using HIRARC. The results obtained on Prof. Hamka Street, the location points are at STA 6 (0 + 700) and 9 (1 + 000) while on Siliwangi Street, the location prone to accidents is at STA 18 (1 + 900) and 5 (0 + 600). The recommended handling is to repair the condition of the road surface that has cracks at the joints, signs at accident-prone locations that are still very lacking, street lighting at accident-prone locations, maintenance on the road so that obstacles on the side of the road do not block visibility and installation of vehicle speed control devices.

Abstract

High school/vocational school students are in a transitional phase towards greater independence and responsibility, so it is important to have a strong traffic safety character. The school security patrol extracurricular in high schools/vocational schools has an important role in shaping the traffic safety character of students. The integration of traffic safety character education with school security patrol extracurriculars in high schools/vocational schools is proposed with an integration model. Modeling refers to a character education management scheme with 18 indicators in 6 schools in 4 regions with data collection using surveys and questionnaires. The resulting traffic safety character is included in the category that is still not good. The proposed integration model applies the design of the assisted school with adjustments to raw input, transformation, instrumental input, environmental input and output. The integration model is carried out by making collaborative actions between stakeholders to achieve excellent traffic safety characteristics at the high school/vocational school level.

Abstract

This study evaluates the pavement condition of 3,300 meters of Adiwerna Highway II using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method based on the ASTM D6433-18 standard. The road is divided into 18 segments to facilitate analysis, with data obtained through visual surveys. The results show five main types of damage, dominated by patches (84%). PCI values ​​range from 38–86 with an average of 69 ("Fair" category), indicating the need for planned maintenance. The most critical segment is at STA 3+100–3+200 (PCI 38). The study recommends a more economically efficient preventive maintenance strategy, and suggests specific treatments according to the type of damage. This study supports the development of data-driven road asset management for infrastructure maintenance optimization.

Abstract

Werkudoro Road in Tegal City is classified as a Class III road functioning as a secondary collector with a design speed of 40 km/h. One of the accident-prone locations along this route is at the Ketiwon Bridge. This study aims to assess the conformity of geometric road elements, specifically the horizontal and vertical alignments, with applicable technical standards, and to analyze their relationship with vehicle speed and driver behavior. A quantitative approach was applied, involving data collection through GNSS-based geometric measurements, vehicle speed surveys, and observations of traffic violations. The analysis revealed that the average operational speed reached 44 km/h, exceeding the designated design speed. The curve radius on the observed segment is 94 meters, which falls below the minimum required standard of 159 meters. Although the vertical gradient of 5.28% and the vertical curve length of 68.90 meters remain within the critical slope limit, the available stopping sight distance is only 82.50 meters—significantly lower than the required 182 meters. Based on these findings, several geometric elements of the road do not comply with existing standards and may compromise traffic safety. Therefore, improvements such as the installation of warning signs, enforcement of speed limits, and enhanced driver education are recommended to mitigate potential risks.

Abstract

Perkembangan ekonomi dan urbanisasi di Kabupaten Tegal meningkatkan jumlah kendaraan bermotor, yang memicu permasalahan keselamatan lalulintas, terutama di ruas jalan dengan infrastruktur tidak memadai. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi potensi bahaya dan risiko kecelakaan di Jalan Raya Jatinegara-Slawi, Kecamatan Jatinegara, Kabupaten Tegal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode HIRARC untuk mengidentifikasi potensi bahaya pada 32 segmen jalan di ruas Jatinegara-Slawi. Segmen 30 dikategorikan berbahaya dengan nilai risiko 350, sedangkan segmen 12 memiliki risiko rendah (nilai risiko 30). Rekomendasi meliputi perbaikan teknis serta pemasangan perlengkapan jalan dalam kurun waktu maksimal dua bulan setelah hasil audit disetujui untuk menurunkan risiko kecelakaan. Jalan Raya Jatinegara-Slawi dinilai berbahaya, khususnya pada malam hari. Penelitian ini menyarankan perbaikan infrastruktur untuk meningkatkan keselamatan lalu lintas di wilayah tersebut.

Abstract

Objek wisata Guci merupakan salah satu destinasi favorit dengan akses utama melalui Jalan Simpang Yomani-Tanjakan Clirit, yang merupakan jalan kabupaten dengan dua lajur dan dua jalur tak terbagi (2/2 UD). Jalan ini didominasi tanjakan dan turunan, termasuk Tanjakan Clirit yang cukup curam, sehingga memerlukan perhatian khusus untuk meningkatkan keselamatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan rekomendasi penanganan permasalahan di ruas jalan tersebut guna meminimalkan risiko kecelakaan, dengan fokus pada kondisi perkerasan, fasilitas jalan, serta alinyemen vertikal dan horizontal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis HIRARC berdasarkan manajemen risiko AS/NZS 4360:2004, dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan dua teknik yaitu data primer dan sekunder. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ruas jalan Simpang Yomani-Tanjakan Clirit sepanjang 7,6 km ini memiliki lebar efektif 6 m dan bahu jalan 1,3 m. Alinyemen vertikal tertinggi terdapat pada 6,8 km dengan kemiringan 14,71% sepanjang 100 m. Ditemukan berbagai masalah seperti rambu lalu lintas yang rusak, marka jalan pudar, dan pagar pengaman yang memerlukan perbaikan. Segmen 1 dan 2 dikategorikan sebagai risiko sedang, sementara segmen 3 dan 4 termasuk dalam kategori risiko tinggi. Penanganan yang direkomendasikan meliputi penambahan rambu peringatan, alat pengendali dan pengaman jalan di lokasi berbahaya, serta redesain geometrik jalan sesuai standar yang berlaku.

Abstract

One of the infrastructure developments in the region that will soon be implemented is the construction of the Jati Weir rehabilitation construction project which is the main dam in the Madiun Irrigation Area (DI SIM) Main Channel in Magetan Regency. In order to maximize the results of cost and time, it is necessary to have a flexible technique or management in the work of this project. The method used to determine alternative types of construction that are efficient and effective in terms of cost and time is the application of Value Engineering in the Jati Weir rehabilitation planning work. Then to get the most effective and efficient time needed for the construction of the rehabilitation of the Jati Weir is done by analyzing the needs of time, labor and tools and the results of the analysis are included in the preparation of a work schedule with the help of Microsoft Project Manager 2021 software. The results of the Value Engineering analysis are the work items that can be done are the still pond items; The existing construction is a random pile of concrete blocks in the form of 1x1x0.5 m blocks with alternatives given to replace the existing construction are 1000 kg tetrapod concrete blocks and 1000 kg dolos concrete blocks; the selected alternative is 1000 kg dolos concrete blocks with a manufacturing and installation cost of Rp. 16,239,115,273.27. 16,239,115,273.27; The cost value of making and installing 1000 kg of dolos concrete blocks is reduced by Rp. 6,252,816,421.53 from the existing construction value; The overall total cost changes from Rp. 62,420,557,268.77 (excluding VAT/VAT) to Rp. 56,167,740,847.24 (excluding VAT/VAT) after Value Engineering. For the implementation schedule plan, the time for Preparatory Work takes a total of 42 working days and for the Jati Weir Rehab Work takes a total of 185 working days. The work is planned to start from March 01, 2023 and end on November 29, 2023.

Abstract

Road surface quality plays an important role in ensuring safety and comfort for users Gajah Mada Street in Tegal City was chosen as the study site because it functions as a main route with heavy traffic flow, and there are various physical damages on its surface. This study aimed to evaluate the condition of the road by applying the International Roughness Index (IRI) and Pavement Condition Index (PCI) approaches. Data collection was conducted through field surveys using a Hawkeye vehicle for IRI and a visual PCI inspection based on ASTM D6433-11 standards. The analysis results showed an average PCI value of 77, categorized as very good, while the IRI value was 6.23 m/km, indicating a fair condition. The difference between the two methods highlights the importance of a multi-method approach in road condition assessment. This study recommends regular and periodic road maintenance to sustain optimal road performance.
