Abstract

Revitalisasi budaya lokal dalam lanskap digital menuntut strategi visual yang kontekstual dan lintas generasi. Artikel ini mengkaji produksi augmented reality Babad Wayang Banyumasan sebagai medium edukatif dan interaktif untuk keluarga digital native. Fokus utama terletak pada tiga peran keluarga: sebagai agen transmisi budaya, sebagai target audiens lintas generasi, dan sebagai sumber nilai dalam narasi pewayangan. Kisah babad wayang Banyumasan yang sarat nilai kesetiaan, tanggung jawab, serta konflik anak dan orang tua menjadi landasan naratif yang relevan dengan dinamika keluarga modern. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan desain tiga tahap: inspirasi (eksplorasi nilai lokal dan audiens), konsepsi (perumusan konsep narasi visual), dan implementasi (produksi augmented reality berbasis karakter lokal dan prinsip sinematik adaptif). Alih-alih memakai pola dramatik Barat, narasi dikembangkan berbasis nilai dan ritme budaya Banyumas. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa augmented reality ini berfungsi ganda: sebagai alat revitalisasi budaya dan jembatan komunikasi antar generasi dalam keluarga. Dengan menyematkan nilai-nilai lokal ke dalam medium visual kontemporer, Babad Wayang Banyumasan menawarkan model desain komunikasi yang relevan, etis, dan edukatif bagi keluarga Indonesia masa kini.

Abstract

Eyes are a crucial element in facial aesthetics, serving as the center of visual attention. For individuals with narrow or monolid eyes, eye shape correction is often necessary to achieve a more proportional appearance. This study aims to analyze the visual transformation of monolid eyes before and after the use of scotch tape. Using qualitative methods through a literature review of various credible articles, the study results indicate that scotch tape is an effective correction technique for maximizing eye dimensions. This study concludes that the use of scotch tape is the most efficient, safe, and instant non-surgical solution for providing visual correction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis evolusi transformatif industri kosmetik global dan Indonesia selama periode 2020-2025, khususnya dalam konteks pergeseran dari produk tradisional menuju paradigma yang didorong oleh branding dan teknologi digital. Menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan kerangka PRISMA, studi ini mengidentifikasi bahwa pertumbuhan signifikan industri di Indonesia (ditandai peningkatan pelaku usaha menjadi 1.010 unit) diakselerasi oleh inovasi formulasi menuju produk cosmeceuticals berbasis bahan aktif ilmiah. Akselerasi pasar ini didukung oleh penetrasi digitalisasi, di mana teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) dan Live Shopping berfungsi mengurangi ketidakpastian konsumen dalam belanja daring. Secara fundamental, strategi branding digital terbukti menjadi determinan utama persaingan, mengkonversi citra merek yang kredibel dan storytelling menjadi loyalitas di tengah tingginya perilaku kritis konsumen dan isu kosmetik ilegal. Meskipun demikian, industri masih dihadapkan pada tantangan strategis berupa ketergantungan tinggi pada bahan baku impor , menyoroti kebutuhan mendesak untuk investasi Riset dan Pengembangan (R&D) guna mencapai kemandirian bahan baku lokal.

Abstract

Pembelajaran praktik rias fantasi Underwater World pada pendidikan vokasi seringkali menghadapi kendala karena kurangnya panduan visual yang sistematis, sehingga mahasiswa kesulitan dalam menguasai teknik kompleks dan aspek keselamatan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji kevalidan media pembelajaran berupa e-book tutorial berbasis digital guna meningkatkan kompetensi praktik mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) yang berfokus hingga tahap validasi produk. Hasil validasi dari ahli materi dan ahli media menunjukkan bahwa produk e-book ini mencapai persentase kelayakan yang tinggi dan memenuhi kriteria sangat valid. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-book tutorial rias fantasi Underwater World layak digunakan sebagai panduan pembelajaran yang efektif untuk membantu mahasiswa vokasi menguasai teknik tata rias secara sistematis.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study was motivated by the low level of student participation and activeness in the learning process, particularly in the Facial Makeup subject in Class X Beauty 1 at SMK Negeri 6 Semarang. This condition indicates the need for an instructional model that can enhance students’ active engagement. Therefore, this study aims to optimize student activeness through the implementation of the cooperative learning model of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in the 2025/2026 academic year, involving students of Class X Beauty 1 as the research subjects. The research procedure was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection techniques included observation sheets of student activeness, interviews, and documentation. The results showed a gradual improvement in student activeness, increasing from an initial condition of 50% to 80% in Cycle I, and reaching 87.25% in Cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the STAD learning model is effective in improving students’ activeness in the Facial Makeup learning process. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya partisipasi dan keaktifan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, khususnya pada mata pelajaran Tata Rias Wajah di kelas X Kecantikan 1 SMK Negeri 6 Semarang. Kondisi tersebut menunjukkan perlunya penerapan model pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa secara aktif. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalisasi keaktifan siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan pada tahun ajaran 2025/2026 dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas X Kecantikan 1. Prosedur penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus, yang masing-masing meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi keaktifan siswa, wawancara, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keaktifan siswa secara bertahap, yaitu dari kondisi awal sebesar 50%, meningkat menjadi 80% pada siklus I, dan mencapai 87,25% pada siklus II. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran STAD efektif dalam meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran Tata Rias Wajah.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The advancement of digital technology highlights the importance of interactive learning media to improve the quality of the learning process, particularly in skill-based fields such as bridal makeup. However, learning in the cosmetology study program still relies on conventional methods that do not optimally support the visualization of techniques, resulting in low levels of student understanding and learning independence. This study aims to develop Smart Flipbook Learning-based media as an alternative solution to enhance learning quality. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects consisted of 15 cosmetology students. The research instruments included validation sheets assessed by material experts and media experts, as well as evaluations of student learning outcomes. The results showed that the developed media achieved feasibility scores of 85.59% from material experts and 85.84% from media experts, categorized as highly feasible. In addition, student learning outcomes reached an average of 84.5%, categorized as very good. Therefore, the developed media is considered feasible and effective for bridal makeup learning. ABSTRAK Kemajuan teknologi digital menuntut inovasi media pembelajaran interaktif yang mampu meningkatkan kualitas proses belajar, khususnya pada bidang keterampilan seperti rias pengantin. Namun, pembelajaran rias pengantin pada program studi tata kecantikan masih didominasi metode konvensional yang kurang mendukung visualisasi teknik secara optimal, sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya pemahaman dan kemandirian belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Smart Flipbook Learning sebagai solusi alternatif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 15 mahasiswa tata kecantikan. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, serta evaluasi hasil belajar mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan sebesar 85,59% dari ahli materi dan 85,84% dari ahli media dengan kategori sangat layak. Selain itu, hasil belajar mahasiswa mencapai rata-rata 84,5% dengan kategori sangat baik. Dengan demikian, media yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran rias pengantin.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of bridal hair accessories made from corn husk waste through sensory evaluation and preference testing. Corn husk was selected as an alternative material due to its environmentally friendly nature, biodegradability, and abundant availability as agricultural waste. The research subjects consisted of three expert validators with backgrounds in beauty and fashion design, as well as fifteen students from the Beauty Education Study Program as prospective users. Data were collected using structured observation sheets covering indicators of aesthetics, neatness, comfort, and functional suitability. The data were analyzed using descriptive percentage techniques. The results of the sensory evaluation showed an average score of 94.44%, which falls into the “highly feasible” category. Meanwhile, the preference test yielded a score of 92.12%, categorized as “highly favorable.” The developed accessories were considered visually appealing, comfortable to wear, and suitable for enhancing bridal hairstyles. These findings indicate that hair accessories made from corn husk waste are not only feasible in terms of aesthetics and technical aspects but also have strong potential to be developed as environmentally friendly products within the sustainable beauty and fashion industry.

Abstract

Natural makeup and glam makeup are derived from different makeup techniques. Makeup, as the art of transforming appearance using cosmetics, is influenced by global trends such as Korean beauty for natural makeup and the Western entertainment industry for glam makeup. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a feminist framework and a cultural studies perspective. The results show that natural makeup emphasizes simplicity with lightweight products like BB cream and lip tint, suitable for everyday activities, representing authenticity and psychological comfort. In contrast, glam makeup focuses on drama using full-coverage foundation and bold eyeshadow, ideal for formal events, a symbol of luxury and performativity. The comparison reveals differences in application, products, and cultural meanings, where natural makeup rejects excessiveness, while glam makeup is associated with capitalism and patriarchy. The conclusion emphasizes makeup as a medium for identity construction, encouraging wise choices for authentic empowerment.

Abstract

Cosmetic color plays a crucial role in enhancing facial appearance and shaping a person's visual and psychological impression. Choosing the right color not only serves as an aesthetic element but also influences perceptions of skin brightness, facial proportions, and individual character. This study aims to analyze the influence of cosmetic color choice on facial appearance and self-confidence. This study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive survey design. The aim was to analyze the influence of cosmetic color choice on facial appearance and self-confidence. Data were collected through a questionnaire, which was then analyzed descriptively and supported by a review of relevant literature. The survey results indicate that choosing the right cosmetic color can create a fresher, more balanced, and more harmonious facial appearance, as well as boost self-confidence. Conversely, using inappropriate colors can cause the face to appear dull and disproportionate. Therefore, understanding the influence of cosmetic color is crucial for both makeup practitioners and the general public in creating an optimal facial appearance that aligns with individual character.

Abstract

The development of information technology and social media has driven changes in the learning process in higher education, including the use of more flexible and easily accessible learning media for students. Social media allows the presentation of learning materials in various formats, such as video and non-video media, which can support the learning process, particularly in practical courses such as basic hairdressing. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using social media as a learning medium in basic hairdressing courses. The study used a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest design. The research instrument was an objective test whose validity and reliability were tested, with an item correlation value of 0.514 and a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.947 for the pretest and 0.933 for the posttest. Data analysis was performed by calculating the average value and gain score. The results showed that video media achieved a gain score of 50, while non-video media achieved a gain score of 72.67. Thus, the use of social media as a learning medium is effective in improving student learning outcomes, with non-video media demonstrating higher effectiveness.
